As per the rating, it could've been better. The good: The store looked clean, tidy, and highly presentable. The sandwich I received was okay, a little messy, but it was a to-go order and that was to be expected. As taste was concerned, I was hoping for something more, but that doesn't waver my expectations for the next time. The bad: The first thing overall was the customer service: I walked in late afternoon and only one customer was inside. The rest were employees behind the counter. As I made my way in, they saw me and kept to their task. I moved to the counter, grabbed a paper menu, and waited. I looked to the board above on the wall. Kept waiting. Not one person said "hello", "we'll be right with you", "hang on", "are you ready?", etc. Silence. 5 full minutes. Not a long time, sure, but when you're standing there and you're ready, and employees don't seem to acknowledge you're in the building, it makes it frustrating. If I could rate this 0, I would! I stopped in for a large Virginia honey ham su, and it was Absolutel disgusting. The sandwich was sloppy and the honey ham was absolutely not honey ham. The ham had no semblance on honey and the sub did not include any cheese. A supremely underwhelming experience. if you eat here, check your sandwich thoroughly before leaving. The ham being used is not the signature honey ham and corporate needs to be notified. read more

Fantastic experience with Tuesday's lunch crew! They were efficient and friendly, and everyone enjoyed sandwiches. Minor issue with flies which can sometimes be due to weather and factors beyond their control. Hopefully next visit will be improved. Overall, very positive and can always grab & go! read more

Use to be a great place... The soda machine is always out of syrup (Nearly every flavor except diet). The Ice-tea seems to always taste weird/bad and on my last visit the air conditioning was out. I'd say management has dropped the ball. read more

This location is conveniently located off of I-85 on the east side of Montgomery. It isn't too far from I-65 either. We stopped here when passing thru Montgomery while driving from NC to TX. When it comes to sub sandwiches, Firehouse Subs in my favorite. They have a great variety. Most of them are made hot instead of cold like their competitors. Keep in mind, they are slightly more expensive than other places as well. But, you do get what you pay for. Their large sandwich is a footlong submarine sandwich and is very filling. If you've never been and you have a hankering for a quick meal that isn't a burger, give them a try. I wasn't disappointed and I don't think you will be either. Location is pretty cool and it's hard to mess up pre made food... but zero pride in the staff for where they work. We walked in at opening and the door was still locked. Employees sitting around eating and leaving their food and bags on tables. The lids are empty, ice is empty, tea isn't made, chips are empty and thrown around. Service is horrible! So slow! We waited for our order of just 2 sandwiches for 30+ minutes and watched the workers idle along. One worker even took a break to talk to his girlfriend.. at least I'm assuming since he kissed her then handed her a free drink? Very rude staff. Customers should not be treated that way. Some customers talk some do not talk, either way their paying customers and should be greeted accordingly and made to feel welcomed when entering the building. I felt very unwelcome and extremely uncomfortable. Upset me to the point I almost started to cry as my anxiety level hit the roof. no person should ever be disrespected that way in any place. If you want a job as a manager where you get paid to hold conversation then this is definitely the place to go. Ordered online arrived 2 minutes before my pickup time and walked in to 1 employee working making all the 6 sandwiches while the so called manger sat down and talked with 2 friends. Never asked me anything never said a word until I asked for owners number and turned around and asked employee what did you do. And the owner is just as bad because he doesn't care what the customer sees he said and I quote there are 3 stations at firehouse and she probably was done with hers 2 employees 3 stations doesn't add up. I felt horrible for the employee working her tail off and if I was her I would look for different job and leave the manager there to work the stations the way she had employee do it. We went to Firehouse Subs on Tues Apr 16 about 3:30 pm. We had a printout from an email sent from Firehouse Subs for a free medium sub for my husband's birthday. When he went in to get the free sub he was treated very rudely by the employee. He was asked where did you get this printout several times. Even after my husband explained, the employee didn't really read it. He even asked my husband when was the last time he was in the restaurant. This had nothing to do with anything! My husband left and I wanted people to know that Firehouse Subs is not the place to go for a sub! read more

Firehouse has the best meatball subs. Extra cheese makes it perfect for me. No matter what you try you won't go wrong. I don't have one near me so I rarely pass an opportunity to eat at one. If you've never been it's been to long! read more

We don't eat here often but are never disappointed when we do. The staff are super! I get the "Under 500 Calories" options - even the small sub is too filling! The Siracha Beef is my favorite, although you won't be disappointed no matter what you get. Price is reasonable. read more

A group of 7 of us came in; first time for most. Our subs were delicious. However, they were rather small; I left still a bit hungry. Also, the menu is on the wall, in print too small to see clearly. Were printed menus in a reasonably-sized typeface available? I didn't see any The staff was attentive and helpful. Horrible service!!! We arrived on a rainy Sunday night around 8:15. Soap wasn't working in restroom. Then after I ordered a drink, they took away the sweet tea (it was out). I decided to get a coke instead of asking for my money back. No ice. Had to wait for them to put more in the machine. We got our order and although I specifically asked for diced pickle on my sand which, I got none. Not even the side pickle. Neither did my husband. Any one of those are small potatoes and can be overlooked but when you pay $7 for a sand which, and $2 for a drink, you hope to get what you want and ordered. read more
