We are so impressed with his professionalism and responses as well as his badass app that shows us what's happening all the time that we decided to give him our new building remodel. THE BEST CONTRACTORS AROUND!!! Hands down! I am a real estate agent and I also own seven homes so have worked a lot with contractors. I have never before dealt with a contractor that has been so honest, so on top of things, so knowledgeable, shows up when they say they are, can't beat their pricing, And Goes so beyond The call of duty from the beginning of the job, to the END!!! They always answer your calls, are always one step ahead of you on the job! If you are looking for the best in the industry, there is NO COMPARISON!! From the initial phone call to the front office the girl who answers the phone is so nice and gets detailed information on your job and follows up with Cory who contacts you right away and comes up with solutions you never thought of. Cory stayed on top of my job while running other larger jobs but never made us feel like ours was any less important. He went way beyond what any normal contractor would do by calling when He was out of state at a funeral and Handling questions I had On a weekend!! He himself drew up plans even though he has an engineer because Of a rare situation of timing, He did what it took and had the skills to do so when any other contractor would make us wait for the engineer. He very professionally diffused and dealt with an irate neighbor, again way beyond the color duty, If one of his guys wasn't able to make the job that day he would Go him self to keep the job running there was NEVER excuses, only solutions! And at the final sign off of the job, the city inspector called out no CO detector, so the final hero of the company Daniel, dropped everything and ran to the hardware store got a CO detector, came back and installed it! When any other contractor would just tell a seller you need to put one in there and call for final. There was not one time they did not exceed expectations. So if you're looking for a 10+ Contractor these guys are it!! And did I mention communication communication communication. Never failed! Best communication ever! read more

I'm baaack! One year ago (almost to the day) I had NeWave Construction build an outdoor gas firepit for me on my front patio in CdM. It turned out great! (see below review 6/19/2014). Now I decided I wanted to make my front patio a little larger and rather than try to match the cement, I decided I wanted to do a flagstone boarder with the same stones used for the firepit. We got the Sparkstone supplies at Larry's Building Supply (who also were extremely helpful). Same as last time, the work/project turned out great and the process of working with NeWave was seamless and efficient! I love my enhanced patio! :-) Again NeWave was right on top of everything -- having the materials delivered, finishing the project in exactly 3 days as promised and they were very prompt to arrange clean up/disposal. Ramon is very talented with how he magically puts together stones and patterns, Marcus was very helpful along the way and of course Cory always follows up to make sure I (the customer) am 100% satisfied. Now I am just waiting for the invoice so I can pay them for a job well done! The $$ is burning a hole in my pocket. ;-) Should I come up with some other home improvement ideas for my home, I will be reaching out to Cory at NeWave Construction...and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone else looking to do masonry/concrete or other similar home projects. read more

Newave Construction recently completed an exterior renovation at our home which consisted of new windows, doors, siding & hardscape (new concrete driveway, stairs & walkways) as well some irrigation, drainage, electrical and tile work. We couldn't be more pleased with how it all came out! Cory, the owner was very involved, visiting the project regularly to meet with both us and his subs. He was very thorough in discussing our vision and expectations before the work commenced & throughout the project. He readily gave input and suggestions that in some instances we had not thought of. As a result, there were not many change orders. He even made some improvements throughout the project that were not included in the contract, at no additional charge to us. We felt he genuinely wanted to be proud of the finished product and for us to be happy with the end result. He was organized when it came to scheduling, responsive with regard to our questions/comments along the way. We found the app he uses (Buildertrend) very helpful in keeping track of the project & providing accountability on both ends. (i.e. we could both see pictures, scheduling, to -dos, and much more right from our phone/computer). I've had an ongoing relationship with NeWave Construction for a little over three years. They did a complete interior remodel of my home and transformed a tired, outdated townhouse into a beautiful updated little beach house. We had to break it down into several stages, as I had to remain in my home during the construction. I had NeWave remodel my entire kitchen last spring and it turned out fantastic. They really did a wonderful job of getting everything done on time and within the budget. My kitchen required a full tear out and rebuild from the ground up. We had a few delays due to problems discovered but they handled all of them well and kept the project moving forward. They were able to coordinate over a dozen subcontractors and make sure everything was moving forward. We were able to turn the worst part of my house into the best part of my house and I would recommend them to anyone looking at doing any renovation on their home. read more

We had a positive experience using Newave for an addition to our home. We received an easy to understand bid in a timely fashion and the costs were in line with the other bids we received. We picked Newave because they had time for our project and based on recommendation from our architect. Additions are not the most fun things to do in life, especially if you are living in the house, but it went smoothly. The project was completed on time. We've now lived in the space several months and are happy with the craftsmanship, quality, etc. We did like the project mgmt software because we always knew the process and when things were going to happen. read more

I called NeWave Construction when I discovered a leak in my roof when it was raining, of course. Cory returned my call right away and had someone at my house within hours. When they got to my house, the first thing he did was move my furniture out of the way and cover the area with a plastic sheet to avoid any damage to the floor. By this time it was pouring rain, I felt really bad since I knew that they would have to get on the roof to check everything out. But they made parkas out of the plastic sheeting and were up on the roof checking everything out. They were able to find the leak and covered it up so that the leak would stop. The day the rain had stopped they were the ones who contacted me to come back and patch up the leak. They arrived on time and kept everything contained to the area where the leak was located. When patching my ceiling, they match the texture and paint perfectly! Everything was completed all in one day and they left everything very clean. All of the members of the NeWave team were a pleasure to work with. They understood the importance of quality and completing the project in a timing manner. I will definitely be calling them again for a few other projects we have around the house. read more

Same as Cindy E. Seemed nice and willing to work with you at first. Then,,,Charged double what was quoted and all the stuff i asked for wasn't done. Did things i didn't ask for, charged a premium for it. Some things i ask to replace, they tried to cheaply cover. When i caught them and asked to do it properly i was charged for the first mistake, to remove it and to do it right. Trying to solve the issue of over priced statement, it became instantly hostile and it was all my fault; i wasn't watching/around the whole time. Even though i ask him to keep it under a certain amount.... when i tried to ask about the math charged for the hours (#workers X hours X days,, etc..) there was 20 unanswered hours, but was told they should have charged more hours...?? Considering when i did check, the workers always seemed to be on break or chatting/playing on their phones.,, i'm sure i was charged a premium for those hours.... good luck.... read more

I needed to have two bathrooms completely re-done and put the projects out to bid. I had 4 different companies bid on the job. I chose NeWave because Chris was so attentive and listened to what my needs were. NeWave delivered a bid and a timeline that worked with my needs. I had done 2 major remodels on my home and this was my 3rd time hiring a general contractor to do work on my house. What I know to be true is that there will be bumps and setbacks with any project and that how those unforseen situations are handled indicate the integrity of the contractor. Chris and Cory were both hands on and available at all times. They were able to come up with workable solutions to whatever situation arose, no matter the day of the week or the time of the day. My project is beautiful, the craftsmanship is first rate and it was completed on schedule and on budget. NeWave did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel. We couldn't be happier. They were reasonably priced and communication was good. Cory, Chris and Lance were all available via phone, text or email whenever I had a question. The trades they sent were all on time, efficient and neat. These guys are busy (for a reason) so be sure and allow time to get on their schedule. It took about six weeks to get from the bid to starting work but we weren't in a rush so it was not a problem. From Mr. Cory Monroe to all of the staff that has worked on our projects, we have had nothing but great experiences. The work is done on time, they clean after each working day so when you come home there is nothing to worry about, the working area is enclosed with plastic sheets and nothing is out of place. In the past the projects we used NeWave on were small personal projects, however over the last 5 years we have steadily increased their roll not only on our personal projects but in our business. They are scheduled to start a business project with us in which the budget for the project is over $1.1 million. I believe Cory Monroe to be an ethical GC. The challenge I faced was that he hires job managers and not once did the job manager visit my kitchen remodel. The sub contractors were unskilled and I am left with a myriad of problems. Here they are: kitchen counter is missing edging where it meets refrigerator ( it should have an ogee edge), holes drilled in counter were not placed correctly and my faucet is installed backwards, disposal guard installed upside down, they left the plastic coating on my hood/fan and it took me two hours with a razor blade to get it off, backsplash tiles don't line up well (in fairness they are small rectangles in a herringbone pattern and might have been challenging to get straight-they aren't straight), backsplash installer not skilled enough to tile around kitchen window so we didn't (although that's what I paid to be done). Cory knew I wasn't happy with the results and offered to send me a $100 gift card but he never did. That said, the kitchen counters and backsplash were demo'd and replaced in 4 days as promised. It took several phone calls to get the finish guys to "finish" the job 2 weeks later. The end product is ok. That missing ogee edge is the worst. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company. read more

We are subconstractors. NeWave Construction has short paid our company more than one time. They run behind schedule, have no supervision on job sites, have communications problems, and do not pay their bills on time. The staff does not have enough practical experience to facilitate, guide, or educate the subcontractors. Choose another, more experienced contractor.
