JNS Concrete replaced driveways for two of my neighbors that had the same problem with their old driveway as I did. The texture coat was flaking off and it looked awful. The work JNS did for my neighbors was top notch so I called JNS owner Jonathan and he gave me a reasonable quote and I gave him the go-ahead. They demoed the old driveway on Monday, finished removing the rubble and laid down the re-bar on Tuesday and poured and finished the concrete on Wednesday and it's perfect. This is a long-delayed review for a fairly large scale residential project Jon and his crew did some time ago: We hired Jon and his crew to re-do an entire backyard and side yard project. Unfortunately, prior to Jon, we hired a guy who ultimately could not complete the project. Jon and his crew not only was one of the few willing to take on the project, but he offered extremely fair pricing. The scope of the project involved grading and leveling our backyard for additional space and erecting a new retaining wall and planter boxes. Jon and his crew did a great job, especially with the retaining wall. The engineer over-engineered the wall by our request, but Jon did not blink or complain about the added time/energy needed to build a great retaining Wall. Jon and his crew did not cut any corners in the execution of this project, and it shows. Even now months later, the wall has not deflected or cracked. The members of Jon's crew are equally as upstanding as Jon himself. The patience they demonstrated with our amateur designs and questions is matched only by their professionalism. And unfortunately, our lack of experience definitely pushed Jon himself. Sorry Jon, and thanks for being patience. We really appreciate it. The worst. Jonathan is very difficult to talk to. He is a screamer, and a control freak who thinks he knows everything. He was asked to join a board get together to discuss structural changes. He literally screamed behind his mask that his time is precious and he had to leave. He had already completed a lot of work for our complex and was paid $$$. .He insulted me for being disabled. "You can't satisfy her." Chucking like a complete fool. I saw his work,it's okay, it's just cement. I got the feeling his educational level is up for grabs. Understand I have never met this loud mouth before and he's sizing me up and laughing that I don't know anything about concrete. Uh duh. That's why he was supposed to be there as a consultant. I was trying to explain that a sidewalk needed to be extended. That's it. He didn't seem to understand. He told me they can re asphalt and if I want a sidewalk then I should paint the asphalt white myself. It was a disabled slam. It was obvious I couldn't paint it and was a pretty cheap shot. He knew I was talking about concrete. Maybe he can lay cement, not a high threshold to meet, but you have to deal with HIM. Pass and run away as fast as you can. Really unpleasant man. read more

JNS does, without a doubt, BEAUTIFUL work! #1 Jonathan worked out the design and price details over the phone, with the out of area property owner. He kept us both on the same page without the need to contact him for an update. I prefer contact by text including photos. He sent photos to the owner and to me. I saw the rebar in place and the finished driveway. Beautiful is the word for JNS's work. The owner decided, after the driveway was compete, to call JNS and order a huge cement back patio. JNS removed our garage floor, as it had been cracked for many years due to tree roots. The broke up the concrete, removed the invading roots, leveled the ground, placed a barrier down. Then they put in rebar, tied it all together and poured the concrete. What a difference! I highly recommend Jonathan and crew. read more

I really, really wanted to give JNS Concrete 5 stars because Jonathan communicated well, was reliable, competitively priced, was on site to keep an eye on the job, and is an all around great guy. Jonathan and his team are knowledgeable, friendly, and work hard to get the job done. My property was built in 1958, added on to twice, and the previous owner was a DIYer. Needless to say, surprises lurked in the shadows. There were two small areas drainage went toward the house instead of away. The deduction of one star is because we still had issues with drainage in those same areas after the new concrete was installed. Jonathan immediately acknowledged both issues and corrected them as quickly as possible. Drainage is working better than ever now. Since big home improvement/repair projects rarely go smoothly or come out perfect, I recommend Jonathan and JNS Concrete for your next concrete project both because the work they do is high quality and if there's an issue Jonathan will make it right. read more

Jonathan came out to give us a quote for a new concrete patio back on July 2, and we were very pleased with that meeting, he is very knowledgeable and professional, he notified me that he would be a little late to the appointment, whereas two other contractors that we had appointments set up with didn't bother to show up or even call to let us know that they wouldn't be showing up. He was also very patient with us due to the fact that our backyard is turf and the turf company had to come out to pull back the turf from the old patio, this took over a month to be completed. Once our job date was scheduled, he and his team showed up on time everyday, explained what they would be doing each day until the job was completed. Jonathan and James did a block wall for me 3 years ago and last week I asked them to do a repair on a different block wall. Three years ago they did such a good job and followed the recommended city permit instructions which must have been a pain as the footing had to be much larger then anticipated because I live in an area that has sandy soil. They did not up their estimate even though they had to mix way more concrete. So I called them back and they actually worked with my tight schedule and got it done promptly and professionally. Jonathan and James built me a patio as well as planters lined with colored bricks and stucco for my backyard. It turned out beautiful. Throughout the process, Jonathan answered my questions and listened to my concerns. He shared his experience and knowledge from previous jobs and we worked together to design my space. We also needed some electrical work done for our fountain and they were able to find someone who could come do the job. He was reasonably priced (verified through another quote), showed up on time to do the work, and completed the work as scheduled. Whereas other contractors will work multiple jobs at once and leave my space half done for days on end, his team came every day until the job was done.
