Hands down one of the BEST & HONEST companies to have any of your building architectural design work done with. We are currently in the process of building a Detached ADU in one of the toughest restricted cities in OC. Frankie has been so thorough & reliant, that I cannot believe how easy the whole process has been. Each & every inspection has, thus far, passed with flying colors. The peace of mind I have had since having Frankie & his hardworking team, has been a God Send. I highly recommend him & his men. So communicative & detailed in what they do; always assuring the finished product. Not to mention, he definitely recommends the best of the best in everything, from wood & stone to customary cabinets & isolated islands for your kitchens. Frankie definitely knows his way around a construction site & communicates with his team consistently. I simply relax at home while they get to work. I will be posting before & after photos as reference, once the entire project is done. I definitely recommend MDM Masonry. I promise you, it is all worth it. Thank you Frankie! read more

Frankie is great. Currently working on a project with him & he's been very professional, helpful & I appreciate his suggestions.

We hired MDM Scapes to create a comprehensive architectural design plan for both landscape and hardscape improvements to our property. This included front entry and courtyard with a putting green, backyard patio and pergola construction, as well as a fire pit, and BBQ. Frankie Mata (owner) and his team worked with us to design a plan incorporating the design features that we desired and prepared the architectural design plans for submission to both HOA and the County and handled all permit approvals. The finished results exceeded our expectations. Frankie and his project manager Hector were very professional and worked with us during construction to make modifications and changes as the work took shape as with any major project. Frankie continues to be very responsive post completion to take care of questions or anything that requires attention. My husband and I are very pleased with the results and are enjoying our newly landscaped property, thanks to the team at MDM. read more

Frankie and his amazing crew did such an amazing job with the stone work and landscaping of our driveway and front yard. They were more than competitively priced, worked quickly and professionally, and left a finished job that has all of our neighbors both envious and happy that we've raised the bar on our street. Cannot recommend MDM enough and as you can see from my profile I almost never leave reviews! read more

I found MDM on yelp, so I wanted to throw a review up to help others. Frankie was very professional and easy to work with throughout our project. We have a long driveway as well as front and rear porches all poured in concrete by MDM. Our diamond pattern and sandblast texture turned out well as well as our brick facade on the front of the porches. The guys were able to work with us on all aspects of the project including sleeves for irrigation under the driveway, lighting in the porch steps and as mentioned earlier the brick facade. I do recommend MDM. I also suggest staying involved throughout the process and speak up if you change your mind or see something you want changed. Frankie was very accommodating to our changes and questions througout, without trying to nickle and dime us. Hope this helps in your decision, good luck. read more

The MDM crew did a fantastic job on my pool remodel. The owner, Frankie, is professional, courteous and unlike other contractors we had dealt with, really listened to what we wanted and helped make our vision a reality. The crew was very professional and handled all our items with care. The job was finished ahead of schedule and for the price quoted, there were no hidden extras. Frankie, personally visited the job site almost daily to inspect the work and progress. We completely remodeled our pool, raised the floor, added a Baja shelf, pebble tech plaster and new tile and travertine coping, not to mention new plumbing, electrical, lighting and pool equipment. We now have the upgraded pool we had been dreaming of. I can't wait to hire MDM for our next hard scape job. read more

Frankie, Hector and the entire MDM crew were extremely professional in their work on our yard. The work included porcelain pavers, fountains, vaulting a pre-made spa, a BBQ, Firetable, a raised patio, support walls and pillars, lighting and softscape. The final result is outstanding. Frankie and his team's work is exceptionally high quality and his receptiveness to our many requests without "nickel and diming" us for changes, was outstanding. The only concern that developed during the project is that the timing of the project was a bit longer than we would have liked. Frankie addressed and took care of every other concern we voiced during the process. I would highly recommend Mdm Masonry for anyone looking for a creative and quality landscaping project. read more

This construction company has been working on a house in our neighborhood and the owners and employees couldn't be more rude and aggressive. A simple request to move a truck was met with blatant disregard. After a couple more attempts to have their trucks move so that I could access my garages I called the owner of the company. I called to let the owner know what was happening and to let them know I was going to call the police he said "go ahead call the police I'm not afraid of them" stay clear of this company they are horrible! read more

Frankie and his crew were excellent! Very knowledgeable professionals who repaired and remodeled to our retaining wall in the front and around the pool in our back yard. The stacked stone looks amazing. Project was done on time and looks great! I'll be looking to do some other projects soon, and mdm will be company I call. read more

Recently we finished our second project with MDM Masonry. We had our first rain since then and i am VERY impressed with how well our problem area drained. We returned to MDM for this project because of the professionalism and aesthetic appeal of their work but the drainage solution they provided was exceptional. I highly recommend this company read more

We were looking to have some work done in our front and back yard, specifically either replacing or changing the color of our concrete and rebuilding our BBQ counter. Frankie Mata came out and while we were in the middle of everything, his demeanor seemed to change. He became very rushed and then just abruptly left, no thank you, nice to meet you, and handshake. It was just a quick wave and "I'll get the quote over to you". This encounter was over 1 month ago and no answer. When he was at our house, he mentioned a few times that they are working on some big projects. Therefore, I don't know if he thought our project would be too small and a waste of time or what. I'm sure he probably would have done a good job on our yard but this is not a good sign. You should always be weary of contractors that are not reliable, they may start the job and not come back to finish. His behavior is a clear red flag, I would not use them and would definitely not recommend to anyone. read more

We selected MDM Masonry to help us with our back yard and side yard project, which included a large paver patio, sitting walls, low voltage lighting, gas lines and plumbing, as well as concrete and irrigation on the side yard. It took a little while to get the project started, but it was definitely worth the wait and we couldn't be happier with the results. Frankie, along with Eddie and the rest of his crew were very professional, courteous and respectful, and above all did great work! They really went above and beyond to help make our back yard vision a reality. The crew was very responsive whenever we had any minor changes or concerns, and Frankie was very conscious to work with us to help stay within our budget. They were happy to answer any questions we had throughout the project and kept us informed on what they were doing, as well as the when and why. Thanks to Frankie and his crew we finally have a back yard that we can truly enjoy. We could not recommend them any more highly, and look forward to working with them again on future projects around the house. read more

This is the first review I have EVER wrote. I wanted to leave this review because Frankie truly deserves it. I waited 3 years to find someone to do my driveway . Had over six people giving me estimates. First time I met Frankie I knew he would be the guy to do the job that I wanted. He listen to me and gave me ideas on how I could improve my project. He also guided me on what was the best stone to buy and where to go for it. I had work with many different crews over the years and Frankie's crew were the most respectful and quiet of them all. At the end they did a great job cleaning up and leaving things the way they found. I give them a TEN! read more

Frankie, Miguel and company did a great job redoing our driveway and the stonework on our house. They removed existing adobe bricks on the house, replaced them with ledger stone panels, demolished and removed existing concrete in the driveway, and replaced it with colored concrete and patterned flagstone. Frankie had lots of good ideas on the design side, and made sure the job got done right and looked good, even down to the punch list. read more

Frankie and his crew are outstanding. They are creative and skilled craft persons. Their work is beautiful. They are on the job every day. They are professional in their presentation and manner. Subs are on time and Frankie is there to see work is done to standard. He is a perfectionist with great pride in his work, company, and employees. He is available and calls or texts within the hour. We did a complete redo of all existing hard and soft scape front and back. We made some changes to the design along the way and greatly appreciated his expert suggestions and guidance. Our project was nearly two months and it was completed in a seamless manner. Follow up has been excellent. read more

MDM Masonry did our backyard about a year ago, and I've been meaning to sit down and write a review for the company and my experience with them. I can't tell you how much we like our backyard. Right now, I'm sitting around my fireplace in the late afternoon, listening to Van Morrison, and enjoy everything about our backyard. Frankie and his team did a great job. They were professional, easy to work with, and provided great advice throughout the whole process. We came into the process with MDM Masonry with a design from a landscape architect, and MDM Masonry was able to take that vision and translate it into a great design for the backyard. MDM is more than capable in doing masonry, of course, but also fountains and drip systems and anything else you'd want in your backyard. I can't be happier with the result. You'd be silly to look for another company to do your work. Call MDM Masonry and get them to work. You won't be disappointed. Thanks, Frankie and team! read more

We selected MDM Masonry to design and construct our front porch and side yard at our Balboa Island beach house, and we couldn't be more happy with their work. Frankie and his crew were consummate professionals from the beginning of the process through completion of the project. They worked closely with us to design the hardscape, select the right stone, and right trees and plants. They presented several good options in line with our vision, and our neighborhood, and worked with us to avoid unnecessary costs. They showed up on time each day, worked efficiently, kept the jobsite clean, and completed the project on time. Frankie, in particular, was incredibly responsive and when we had minor changes or issues during the course of the project, Frankie worked with us to come up with good fixes, often in line with the original budget. I've worked with several home contractors over the years and MDM is among the best I've worked with. We continue to receive compliments from neighbors on how our new porch and landscape looks. read more
