Best slice I've had in the Philly area so far - crust is on point, cheese/sauce are both really solid and the staff were very friendly. Inexpensive and perfect for a quick lunch!

An unexpected fantastic find! I've heard good thing about this place, so I was happy to be able to finally try it. I forget the name of this pizza that I ordered, but my friend and I ate the small size, and it was just right. The pizza was hot, fresh, and had the perfect texture. The cheese was really stretchy, just how I like it. Service was nice, very "local" service if you know what I mean. I shall be back next time to try a different pizza!

Great Greek pizzas and sandwiches. The owner Mike is a real character and enjoys joking with his customers. He recently encouraged one his customers to make trumpets sounds without a trumpet the guy sounded better than a trumpet and should get a Free Pizza for his efforts!

Smallish pizza (they must only have one size) - not very good...

I was going to give this a one-star review but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I had a great Philly Cheesesteak with Onions on it but the name of the place is New Wayne PIZZA and the pizza was just horrible. I may have had worse but I can't remember when. They should perhaps just stick to sandwiches. That was the only redeeming thing that prevented the one-star. I ordered what I thought was a large round pepperoni pizza but evidently they only have one size. It had no "crust" edge to speak of (well maybe a little) and just tasted sour. I could barely finish the piece I have. I'm from New York and maybe I'm spoiled but if I hadn't seen them making pizza there I'd have sworn they got it out of a box from the supermarket and thrown it into the oven. I will say it was crisp which is rare but ugh...I still can't get the taste out of my mouth. Sorry but I do not know how this place is getting 5 star reviews. I'd never pay for another pizza there again.

The Greek Gyro salad was huge and made a filling meal for two. Plus the guys who work here are very nice and aim to please. They take pride in their work and want your total satisfaction. Great little neighborhood pizza place, and don't be fooled by the name, they make way more than just pizza.

Mediterranean platter! Super delicious and fresh!

My favorite Pizza ship in Wayne! I have been going here since I was a kid and they recently revamped their menu and it's knocking my socks off!!! Everything is fresh and delicious. Their Mediterranean platter is outstanding... I'm never here and if you read my other reviews, that's not the norm for me at restaurants... I'm super picky! This place is great and you will not be dissatisfied! If I could give it 6 stars I would. Keep up the awesome job guys! New Wayne pizza rocks!!!

Everything is always so amazing! Wraps, wings, pizza, cheesesteaks. I highly suggest ordering from New Wayne you won't be disappointed!!

If you order slices and they happen to come off a "small" pie, they will double the order. I ordered 2 and was given 4.

"New" like hell! These folks have been around for over twenty years. Whatever you call them they serve up some tasty food. I'm working just down the street right now so I gave them a try. I try not to review a pizza joint unless I've visited at least twice and that was the case here. They are located just a few feet from the intersection of Lancaster and Wayne Aves. Directly in front of them are a few parking species marked "ten minute pickup parking" with no meters and that's nice. Each time I visited the place was spotless. This is a take-out only family-run place with just a few chairs for sitting while you wait for your order. Day#1 Of course I was going to try the pizza. Its Greek pizza here so all you Italian pizza snobs can stop rolling your eyes and making those funny snorting noises! I ordered two slices with sausage and they made it fresh. They happened to make it from a small pie and when they do that they double your order so I was given four small slices. The crust was cooked perfectly and there was plenty of topping. The cheese was particularly tasty. This is a thin crust pizza joint. My "4" small slices and a 20 oz. soda cost me $8 and change and it was an excellent lunch. Day#2 This time I tried an Italian Grinder. It was fresh and tasty and most importantly hot all the way through. I hate when you order a grinder and they are cold in the middle! The tab was $7.53 and once again an excellent lunch. On each visit I'm betting the Greek lady that cashed me out was the mother of this family. She was excellent and really makes you feel welcome. For a "New" place they seriously have their act together!

New ownership is terrible. Always missing important elements of delivery of food - as simple as salad dressing. Will not patronize again.

The…read moredining room is warm and dimly lit, with velvet seating, cozy booths, and soft pillows that make you instantly relax. It's the kind of space that makes you want to settle in and keep enjoying just one more bite. This visit, I had the veal stuffed homemade pasta and the Sicilian meatballs both rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. The pasta was tender and clearly house-made, and the meatballs were perfectly seasoned in a slow-simmered sauce full of depth. The shrimp appetizer was the standout, served with a special house-made sauce and crispy pickled cucumbers for the perfect bright contrast. Truly my favorite shrimp appetizer I've ever had. Our server, Andrea, really made the experience even better. She helped us navigate the menu and offered thoughtful suggestions that we absolutely loved. Between the food, the ambiance, and the service, Rosalie always feels like comfort done right.

The experience was a little bizarre. Their website says "Rosalie doesn't allow reservations for 1,…read moreplease just walk in". I walked in, as directed, just for a very flustered man at the front of the house to fumble with his system for a good 10 mins. Telling me there was a table, then taking it back and saying there were no tables for the night, then saying nevermind and making me a reservation for two (which I would have done if not discouraged by the website) for half an hour later. At this point I already had a very bad taste in my mouth from the level of chaos. I waited outside for my table. When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.

Johnny's Pizza is the proper name so please get it right…read more Clearly, these complaints I read here about ringing phones not being answered due to the staff too busy to answer or char in the crust due to it being cooked perfectly prove the locals don't know great pizza. Owner Johnny pays homage to these historic pizza places in the gorgeous dining room in the back to eat your food. Pizzerias like L&B Spumoni Gardens, Di Farra in the days of Dom, Luigi's, and Pizza West Chester speaks pizza credibility for real pizza fans. Today we got a half pepperoni half plain circle. Crispy crust. Delicious garlicky tomato sauce. High quality, Gooey mozzarella cheese. Crunch on each bite. Outstanding!

So we stopped by and were told there is no dough left. I told them about the phone situation. 2) no way to order online. Super annoying especially when the phone just rings. 3) first pizza ordered was fantastic (and I'm an upstate NY pizza girl so I know good pizza). Second pizza was dough and sauce. No cheese. I mean NONE. So apparently they had run out of cheese this time. 4) we got the steak sandwich once too. It was so gooey it was hard to eat and kind of yucky. We saved it and it was fantastic the next day cold. So unfortunately while I have recommendations on Johnny's pizza, I will wait and get my pizza fix when I am upstate.

Updating my review because like I said before, I WANT to give this place the 5 stars like I know it…read moredeserves! The pie I previously ordered has since been taken off the menu for the sole reason of it just being too saucy of a pie for that thin crust. The owner Vince reached out to me regarding my last review and was SO polite and appreciative and offered a Trenton pie on the house. I was reluctant to accept at the time because I don't ever want a review of mine to look like I'm fishing for money back or free food, but I decided to take him up on his offer tonight and I'm so glad I did. I received a Trenton pie, and I decided to try the Italian pork sandwich with provolone as well. Let me just say the customer service at this shop is outstanding. Everyone I encountered was just lovely which really could have just made me bump them up to 5 stars based on that. I met Vince when I went to pick up the order and got to chat with him for a bit. He told me all about his business and educated me on his personal recommendations/where they get their bread/the things that are homemade etc. He was really such a pleasure to talk to and his passion for his shop and the quality of food he puts out is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to the pizza shop business. It should be more common in the business to be so passionate but it's not, and honestly that is what sets Carla's apart from other places. Okay, NOW I will talk about the food. The Trenton pie was spectacular! This pie was perfect which is dangerous because I could not stop eating it once I started. I wish I was kidding. The crust was perfectly cooked and held up to everything on top. It had a perfect crisp and 0 flop. The sauce on top was a perfect ratio to the cheese. It is unbelievable how thin they get this crust. You were right Vince, I liked this pizza WAY better than the first one I ordered! Can we talk about the pork sandwich though, oh my goodness. I went pretty plain with my order as I only got roast pork with provolone, but the bottom was slightly dipped in the au jus which was the icing on the cake. The bread soaked up the au jus nicely while not making it overly soggy or falling apart. The pork itself though was delicious! It was very tender and the thing I loved most about it was there seemed to be black pepper mixed in with the pork which complemented the au jus perfectly. I'm not kidding, I think I'm going to have dreams about those flavors going forward. I could probably drink that au jus, but I won't. Please give this business a try because it's people like this that are in it for the right reasons and it shows through their food! I will be coming back here often.
