Our new home is old, and has had new rooms added on over the last 100 years by amateurs who used whatever they could find. The crawl space was inaccessible and the supports under the house inadequate, which had resulted in settling.
We sought out bids to dig out the crawl space and stabilize the house. Some of the people we talked to didn't want the job, it's dirty and hard, and some wanted more than our budget allowed to do it.
It was challenging to find someone both reasonably priced and knowledgeable, but New Vista met those requirements.
The amazing service came after the work started, though. The communication and excellent work from this contractor left us incredibly satisfied.
Daily he checked in with us about how the work was going, where in the house they were, what they had found.
When I asked them to save some dirt for a garden bed, they piled it perfectly in the square I was saving.
Most of the previous house supports were garbage, but the few usable things were left piled neatly next to the house.
All of the trash was picked up daily.
Lastly, the job took one day longer than planned, and a pipe had to be repaired while they were down there and we were not charged more than the original estimate, despite the fact that it would have been perfectly reasonable to do so.
If we ever need this sort of work again, we would absolutely hire them again. In fact, we have a small project that we want to have them back to do next year. I have confidence that it will be done correctly and quickly.
They are a solid and reputable company. As part of my research, I reviewed CCB#s, and they are completely legal and insured, too. The employees seem well treated and appreciated and were respectful and friendly. read more
