The brewery is only open on certain days in certain hours, so I messaged through Facebook to ask a few questions and the owner was incredibly responsive. They made all the generations of our family feel very welcome, especially my little girl! Even all of the other customers were equally as welcoming and chatty. One of the first things we appreciated was that they were open later than many of the other places in town. Their menu was remarkable, with plenty of interesting choices and a couple of unexpected bonuses. The minute I saw fried green tomatoes, I knew I had to get them -- and they did not disappoint! I also had an Odd Side IPA, which was honestly the best beer I had during our entire trip. We also tried the fish and frites, as they call them, and they were delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming, and we even had the chance to meet the owner, who was there making sure everything was running smoothly. You can tell there is a lot of pride put into this place. The atmosphere is just as memorable as the food. The décor has a really cool, unique vibe, with old doors and windows incorporated throughout. I especially loved the wall of photos of previous patrons, hope to make it to the wall one day -- such a fun idea and something that gives the tavern a lot of personality.
