So glad to have been able to finally check out this delightful brewery. My hubby and I really don't speak beer, but the hospitable owners make it easy. I sampled many interesting brews but the wheat was my fav. My hubby preferred the blonde. Hard to go back to a regular beer after sampling that yummy and very reasonable brew. The crowd is diverse and welcoming, dogs & kids were welcome! Lovely grounds. Don't miss it!

I'm a bit of a beer snob, so I was curious to try the local brewery. I was blown away by the options. Everything from the caramel and sea salt on the rim of the Ol' St. nibs Coca Bliss, to the made to order sour experiment, where the acidity level is controlled by lactic acid, and sweetness by the fruit. They will also mix or customize almost any beer on tap. The facility is beautiful, indoor or outdoor seating, lake view, and the owners are extremely welcoming and sociable. It's a great place to spend an afternoon.

    Delicious beer!

Really good brewery in a relaxing and happy setting. The service was awesome and the owners are very friendly.

I had to take a nap before writing this review. That is a positive comment about Rusty Rocket. Their beer flights are a bargain. I had the full, which is eight glasses, and these were not petite. That was at noon, when we had made our appointment for. So once we got home, I ate crackers and cheese, before retiring for the snooze. The proprietor, the wife of a husband-wife duo, had remarked on the need to sleep if you enjoy a stint of day drinking. We showed up on their 32nd anniversary. We come to town every summer. That is not the exact place where the brewery is. Our rental was over in Fennville, the next village over, and usually the family has stayed in nearby Saugatuck. For fiteen years or so, our group, which is three generations, 14 people, plus 2 dogs, has trekked to the shores of Lake Michigan for a week. Some of the guys are home brewers. We all enjoy beer. So tours are on the menu. There are a surprising number of these businesses in the region, including those making cider. This particular craft operation is on the grounds of a former campsite. It was huge, back in the day. The couple who operate it live on the other side of the lake. They are "dog people," with many photos of their rescues above the bar. You have to make an appointment. Locals sometimes just stop by when they notice the tasting room is open. One of my nephews arranged everything. The lady in charge was personable and chatty. She is in the right line of work. The husband stopped in. He started the hobby to provide the drinks his wife preferred. They also host events there. It's serene. As for the beer, I enjoyed seven of eight pours. That is a good ratio. One just wasn't for me. It had a funkiness to the flavor. But that is just my sense of taste. I recommend the experience. We brought back a growler worth and some merchandise.

A nice small brewery with quality beers, sours, and saisons. The location is an old YMCA camp and repurposed. They hold events and allows you to bring food. Great place to relax, enjoy a view and drink beer!

We are so glad we did! We loved it so much we returned our second night, as well! First, while many places closed at 9pm, Noble Twist closed at 10pm. Second, the hostess and bartender were welcoming, kind, and professional. Third, the ambiance is clean, modern, and open. We loved the classy, but not pretentious, vibe since many of the other spots in town have more of a dive-bar vibe. We sat at the bar to watch games on the TV, but there were plenty of tables with chairs, as well. The drinks menu is fabulous! I got a different cocktail each night and loved both. First, the Partridge in a Pine Tree. Second, a Dirty Gin Martini. Both were flavorful, high quality, and boozy. My husband tried the IPA the first night and the Pilsner the second. He loved both! Best of all, prices are reasonable for quality beverages! The menu also had wine and food, but we did not try either. Next time! Noble Twist Taphouse is our new favorite drinking spot in Saugatuck! We look forward to visiting the next time we are in town!

I have only had takeout from here because my kids were turned…read moreoff by the acrid order of burned garlic when we stopped in here once, but they had my pizza ready at the stated time, kept warm in a tall warming oven, and they successfully handled a bit of special instructions too. My only real complaint is that the pizza was a little bit too well done for my liking -- the crust was dry and hard, like the crust of a good loaf of bread. On the other hand, it probably traveled better in that shape than it would have if they'd erred on the other side and the crust was too soft, in which case it would have been soggy by the time I got it home. Nice flavors in the pepperoni and sausage toppings, though the Hot Italian would have been better if much spicier, and the pepperoni would have been better without the honey.
