The food is just as good as we remembered from Grand Rapids. The former Grain Sandwich is now located inside Tantrick Brewing in Allegan (soon to be located downtown). The menu is limited but delicious. The beer cheese is delicious (it's also the sauce for the Mac and cheese). The gumbo was great (and has way more kick than typical in West Michigan). Very cool place with excellent beer. We had a couple flights and some chicken fritters with fries. The sauces are very unique, but the food is just fair. However, and this is important, their dogs and burgers look AMAZING, and I will be back to try them. We also picked up some really good cider. I will definitely come back. read more

Best beer in town! Welcoming place and the staff rock!! Come and see the beautiful handblown mug club mugs and beer pulls! Go to the outdoor SODI bar and get your beer to go for social district. I visit Tantrick frequently. I have a mug here and love the large selection of amazing beers. There is something great to choose from every time. The food is great with new items added regularly to keep things interesting. Most important, the owners and staff are always great and welcoming. Tantrick is a member of the Social District in town so you can grab a beer, cider or wine and head out to explore the town. A perfect place to hang out and meet up with friends. read more

What an awesome surprise! Stopped in here an a Saturday afternoon after going to Gun Lake Casino. The beer was really good the the staff was even better! Elena and Sy were working- They were super friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. My favorite brewery in town! Tantrick is a small town brewery run by a husband and wife near the airport in Allegan. Patrick is the brew master and his wife Tanya runs the bar. Our first time there, Tanya greeted us and made us feel so welcome, explained ordering is done at the bar and what they had that was new and popular. Brews rotate all the time as they are always trying new flavors and trends. There is a mug club for those that are interested, with the most beautiful glass mugs I've ever seen. Each one is different and unique in shape or color. The vibe in the place is so chill, which is why we keep coming back. I've seen lots of people bring their kids and families and it's a great atmosphere for all. There's also a section in the back with board games to play at the table as well as darts and shuffleboard. No kitchen available, so prepare ahead or Burrito Boss delivers there until 8pm. I love the popcorn machine with fresh popcorn and several of the shake flavors to put on top. Highly recommend this wonderful brewery. read more

We camp in Michigan and are always looking for local breweries to try. Saw Tantrick on yelp and decided to give it a try. We were extremely impressed with the beer menu given they have only been open a few months. The beer was really good. Tanya was extremely pleasant to talk to and knew exactly how each beer was made. We will definitely be back next spring once the campground opens again. We highly recommend having a drink here. Cheers! read more

Ok...just wow!! I have been on a 2 month mission to visit local breweries. So the entertainment as on point!! And who doesnt love some Jimmy Buffet?? So, heres the deal, i am not a beer drinker, im the wine, cider, mead girl. Boyfriend loves beer!! This place has an awesome variety! Not to brag, but ive seriously had bottles of wine that cost hundreds of dollars, and yet this 15.00 wine is the best red blend I've ever had. It is so smooth and beautiful. It was the Mezzaluna. If you like a dry red blend, look no further!! Boyfriend enjoyed lots of their beer. His favorite was the Hopademic, but the Barbe Slam and Hop Fusion were great, and remember...im not even a beer fan per say! Tanya and Patrick are the owners and they are great too! If you find yourself in the Allegan area..stop!! Even if ur not in the allegan area, its a great small town and Tantrick is a wonderful addition!! read more

Hey Eh... the first most important thing I notice any place I go is lighting, it sets the mood for the night, lighting in this place is terrible! NOBODY likes bright cold LED bulbs! Being here is like having a beer in a cafeteria, cold, uncomfortable, so unwelcoming, this lighting is painful! Yeah, I won't be back, & definitely didn't love the beer either! read more

I've been here multiple times and every time I'm impressed with the quality and service I've received. Tantrick is a hidden gem in Allegan with an intimate feel, great music and first class beer. Most of the time when I come the owner Tanya is working and she's always friendly and knowledgeable. She answers all my questions and offers samples of any beer to help you find the right beer for you. Typically I get the hopademic which is the house ipa. It's amazing on tap but is also available to take home in a canned version or in a growler. Today I went in and found my new favorite bartender Josh and my new favorite beer Bambalam which is a delicious black ipa. He was very personable and entertaining to talk to. It was incredible to see the amount of people who's name and order he knew the second they walked in the door. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asked and if I stay in Allegan I will definitely be joining the mug club! read more

We started with the giant pretzel. It was a special, which is too bad, as it was fantastic (and should be added to the menu). There was that slight crispness to the outside, warm soft inside, and perfect crystallized salt. It came with cheese sauce and grainy mustard, both were great, the pretzel could still hold its own without sauce. Their menu is not huge, and I think it's better for it. They featured steak and burgers (and my aunt was happy to have a good gluten free bun!). I had the garlic steak tips, cooked perfectly at medium, and garlic mashed potatoes (I'm sure my breath was potent after). The sauce was very good, and I love garlic, so being very garlicky worked for me. It also had a side of creamy horseradish sauce that paired perfectly. The only mis step was the steak was a bit cool in temperature, and I didn't want to send it back and the be over cooked. The others had burgers, and an autumn salad. The salad was also noted it to better than average, it was good they had a lighter option on the menu. The entrance area also had a butcher area to buy beef.

They have a lot of seating and big tables for groups like us. For a pub, they actually have a lot of great menu items. I got a pulled pork burger and my friends got country fried chicken salad, olive burger, blackberry salad, oven baked mac and cheese, and chips and hummus. We got our food fast and our server was great. Thanks for having us and we'll be back!
