Virtue Cider from the parking area.

We absolutely loved sitting outside on a Friday afternoon and listening to some live music. I was excited to visit here with our two dogs, and after trying a few Virtue ciders from Binny's back home in the Chicago area. The vibe is relaxed and we loved the rustic charm of this location, complete with chickens roaming. Inside the taproom is beautifully featured with high ceilings and warm wood colors. It appears you can make reservations for certain seating areas. I tried a Farm Flight and then ordered the Mitten, a light, crisp cider aged in bourbon barrels. The Blueberry Mitten was good too. The Mitten ciders were not too sweet or tart for my taste. They have light charcuterie type food you could buy and we tried the cows milk spreadable cheese with raspberry crisp crackers. It was a little challenging to eat outside on a windy day, so we tried to keep our food and drink weighed down. The online ordering was a little confusing, but we just went inside to confirm we ordered what we wanted. Afterwards, we took a walk on one of the trails before heading out. The owner was sitting nearby and he and the rest of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. There is some beautiful merch in their store, so I bought some items for a gift basket.

Great setup with PLENTY of space. We ordered inside, chose the flights/sampler, and made our way out to the "yard." Yes, you'll see plenty of chickens and dogs. Be prepared if you have little ones that may scare easily. We'd like to compliment VC on their clean, spacious layout. While it was hot that day (zero complaints, we'll enjoy the heat while we can), we can only imagine a beautiful MI fall afternoon with a fire and cider. We appreciated the quaint, chill atmosphere.

Such a fun place! This was one of the highlights of our trip. It's a little ways out of town but so worth it. We were immediately greeted at the check in desk where they gave us a couple menus and explained the property to us and sat us at a cute little spot with a couple adirondack chairs. We ordered both flights offered, the farmhouse and the salute. The ciders were so delicious, we had to purchase a couple bottles to take home to share with friends and family. We brought our dog with us and they even brought us a water bowl with cold water for him. One of the servers came around and offered to take photos of us which was such a thoughtful touch! After we finished our cider, we walked the trail out to see the pigs. Overall, wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone! I wish we lived closer so I could come back soon.

Tried all of the cider flights, and honestly couldn't find one I enjoyed. However the place is extremely cute and family friendly, there is a path to ducks and pigs.

Chock full of awesomeness - and chickens! Highly encourage making reservations in advance. Even on a cooler Fall day this place is booked from open to close! Food options were limited but they often have food trucks on weekends. The cider is top notch, just super fresh and full of dimension - even the people in my party who don't normally dig cider found plenty of delicious choices. Just a short drive from Saugatuck/Douglas!

Super cute place for a cider tasting. We went in the summer and they offered inside it outdoor seating. We sat inside and ordered & paid right at our table. Staff were very friendly and helpful with options.

My friends and I recently stumbled upon Virtue Cider during Apple Fest weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the event! We were welcomed into the festival with a free tote bag, pint glass and the opportunity to listen to live music (on the most beautiful fall day) while trying some of their specialty ciders. My girlfriends and I just stopped by to check it out so we could plan a more purposeful day, but the facility was so big, we just grabbed a drink and enjoyed the live music! I do think I would love to go back another day to check out the property and really enjoy it.

What a cool neat experience! So I love cider, and if you're like me, this is the place to be. We got two different flights of different ciders in all ranges of flavors! The first flight we got was I think the 101, which was $20 for 6 ciders. The star of the show for me was the cherry cider, but others at the table enjoyed the blueberry cider. I also liked the dry ciders offered. The other flight we got, the Small Batch, was $25 for 6 ciders, which we did not like as much. I'd say, if you're gonna get a flight go for the 101 tasting. In terms of food, we got the fish dip (based on previous reviews) and the white bean dip. The fish dip very much lived up to its hyped reviews. We gobbled it down quickly! The white bean dip likewise rocked but the star of the show was easily fish dip. After our tasting, we visited the gift shop and walked the grounds. There were some beautiful trails around the area! Overall, a very nice place, nice staff, and great cider. I recommend!

We will return, we aren't locals but will definitely go back. Good service, and ambiance.

Back at Virtue and couldn't be happier. This time they had bonfires going outside and it was magical. I definitely should have brought my dog because with the bonfire we were able to chill outside the whole time even with it in the 50's. I tried the cherry (always a fave) and the blueberry (not too sweet and good notes). My friend had the mulled cider - it was much drier than mine. She was really happy with it but it was too dry for me... I think I was expecting more of an apple cider? Hopefully they'll have something sweet and warm next time I am here. Oh and our bar tender was the coolest? Like I wish I was that cool.

Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks! The trails in the back is really pretty. There are games and animal for kids and adult alike. I hope they add more food offerings to compliment the drinks. The best, imo, is the fennel salad! Esp on a hot summer day!

Cider Flight - The Mitten was my favorite.

My little family visited Virtue Cider on a Wednesday during the afternoon. It is child and dog friendly which is a huge bonus! Your dog must be on a leash and water bowls are available to wet their whistle. Chickens roam the grounds, and bunnies and ducks are in houses - my kiddo loved this feature! There is trail to walk if you feel inclined. All the staff were incredibly friendly/informative, and the service was speedy. The vibe of the entire establishment is fun, casual, and relaxed. There are picnic tables and greenhouses (which I think you may need to reserve). You can order inside or use the QR code at the outdoor tables - convenient! We ordered a cider flight. The Mitten was my favorite! We also tried the frozé which was refreshing! We got our kiddo the apple cider; I took a quick sip (shh...), and it was delicious. I definitely recommend stopping in, and we hope to visit again when we vacation next year!

Virtue Cider is a large complex. There is a cider mill, orchards, farm land and lots of outdoor seating, and limited indoor seating. When you walk in to the indoor area, you enter through the merchandise shop. They offer a large variety of bottles ciders. They offer flights and a variety of cider selections. The outdoor area is massive. They offer a different variety of drink choices outside. The bathrooms are basically porta potties. You are able to walk the grounds and see the animals and apple trees.

    Yes! Very much so :)

21+ to drink but we saw lots of kids outdoors. There is lots to see and do for kids. As if 9/6/21 there was a 90 minute limit on the reserved outdoor tables and chairs

The place feels special. Rustic, nestled in the woods with an old abandoned home and renovated barn. However, on this sunny 40* day it's wise to wear boots or shoes you don't mind trekking through the mud from the parking lot to the cider barn. The igloo's were nice, hot today with the sun. We turned off the heater and stripped down to our t-shirts. The kids had fun drinking the NA cider and I enjoyed a couple of pints of the dry cider. The picnic table inside easily sat 4 of us and had room for board games to play. The "surprise" was a homemade cherry cream puff with drizzled chocolate on top. It was absolutely delicious. Overall, a great experience for a low key Valentine's Day lunch with our little family. That cream puff though... it really was the cherry on top! Check it out if you want a different experience. It's worth the drive. Make sure to reserve the igloo online in advance to avoid disappointment. Happy Valentine's Day!

The owner, regulars, and bartenders are like surrogate brothers/sisters and watch out for everyone there - new acquaintances and old friends. Everyone is marvelously welcoming, and the place has a quirky local pub vibe. The place is small and intimate, so you don't walk in without walking out with new friend. I have brought my young daughter here for years (we grab a Fanta from next door at Chicago Style Gyro for her - that glorious place is a whole other 5 star review) and the people here treat her like their beloved niece. This will be the place she celebrates her 21st at. The cider here is unimaginably delicious. The seasonal selections and the staple flavors are all wins. Devout beer-only drinkers, hard cider experimenters, and cider connoisseurs will find something delicious to drink there. And every dollar stays local -with all local ingredients and local production. I highly recommend stopping by in summer to experience grabbing a cold mug of PCC cider, finding a seat in their patio, and watching the cars go by while the sun sets over Leonard. And the hot cider in winter is soul soothing especially while watching the snow blow outside.

The environment is fantastic as well--small, small Irish pub with some vinyl you can request to be played. The barkeep shook my hand and introduced himself with my first order. This place gives ya hope in the fact that others in the world still accept all types of people as PEOPLE. There was definitely a regulars group present but just like diehard Lions fans, we were welcomed aboard with enthusiasm. My new favorite pub in GR--in fact the only authentic genuine pub in the city. As I was reading the Michigan BrewTrail magazine I ran across their advertisement page, and was confused that it had a Grand Rapids address so It prompted me to do a little research. If you Yelp search you won't find their restaurant, cider/winery because it pops up as Ed Dunneback and Girls Farm Market. This new Pink Barrel Cellars page should help separate this from just a farmers market, and help highlight some of their amazing food and drink. I went on their last day of live music according to their online schedule. When I showed up the parking lot was full and there was well over 100 people there. If you go inside you will immediately notice that this place is so much more than a farmers market. In the back they have a bar serving some amazing ales, seltzers, stouts, ciders, and wine by the glass. In the middle they have fresh donuts, wine by the bottle, fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. Near the front they have a food stand. All the employees were spectacular and very informative. I had many questions, and they were all very Knowledgeable. If I had gone with someone I definitely would of taken advantage of cornhole and drank wine by the glass.
