I didn't even know this place existed until I stumbled upon it! It doesn't look like it would be there (or maybe I just need to pay attention more) being that it shares a parking lot with The Cheese Lady. We did not try any of the food, but I loved that they had some small bites available. Their selection of cider was pretty large, and I liked that there was something for everyone whether you like sweet or dry. The night we went, there happened to be Trivia happening! I always think it's cool when there are little events like that going on. The host immediately invited us to join the two other groups that were playing. I also have to mention the art! There was really cool art all over the walls and in the bathrooms. According to other pictures on here, it seems like the art is rotated out fairly often, so you might have a new collection to look at every time you're there! The inside was fairly small, but well maintained. There was also a cool patio that I would have loved to use had the weather been warm enough. Definitely will be back!

Pux Cider is a little gem that I didn't really even know existed. I would drive up and down Fuller and notice the Cheese Lady but didn't really recognize that it was right next-door. A few friends and I decided to go and sit on their patio on a sunny Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of ciders, the service, and the shade on the deck. I had a couple different flights and my friends and I shared a cheese plate and enjoyed a few hours out in the warm but not frying from the sun. Most of the ciders that I tried we're actually on the dryer side which I appreciated and my favorite is probably number six. If you're a fan of ciders, I would definitely recommend going here and trying out a local establishment! The only downside is that they don't have any food other than cheese and charcuterie so I would recommend having a snack before you go or stopping after dinner. We were probably there for 3 1/2 hours and definitely got hungry afterwards but enjoyed our entire time there! To check out, you have to go inside to the bar to close your tab but that wasn't really an issue. Just a little bizarre. I will definitely be back very soon.

Outdoor area was not available during the soft open but looks like a cool spot!

Pux Cider was supposed to open pre-pandemic and I have been looking forward to checking out their new location on Fuller. They did a soft opening weekend for the public so my boyfriend and I went and tried basically all their ciders. Located right next door to The Cheese Lady, there's not a lot of parking space in the lot so be prepared to find a side street if needed. The space is nice and there's a cute outdoor patio. They weren't serving alcohol on the patio yet when we went but it looks like it'll be a great spot in warmer weather! We were greeted right away when we walked in the door which really set the tone for our first visit. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the ciders and gave us time to look over the options. We went with flights because I think they're the best way to pick something you like! Flights were $9 for four 5oz pours - very reasonable in my opinion. They had 12 different ciders when we visited ranging from sweet to dry. They can help guide you based on your preferences. We're not too picky but I tend to prefer a more dry cider. Our favorites were the Minty (Earl Grey with mojito mint), Rose (strawberry rhubarb with hibiscus), and the Pinch (pineapple cherry). The Minty was so unique with the tea and mint flavors but they work very well together. Rose is a bit floral of course but slightly sweet. And the Pinch was a yummy, fruity cider without being too overpoweringly sweet. The Hornswaggle is a hopped cider which is great for beer lovers I think. I didn't care for the Pommander but it tastes exactly like a pommander, those oranges studded with cloves. The clove flavor was just a little too strong for me. I loved the local art by REB on the walls, and some of it is for sale! The owner came by and chatted with us for awhile which was awesome. I'm excited to see what Pux has in store for this location in the future. If you like cider, be sure to check them out. You can also get a cheese flight from the Cheese Lady. They include pairing suggestions for each cheese which is so cool. I loved the aged cheddar!

SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: N/A DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 5 Such a treat to the Fulton heights community. We stopped in once the weather warmed up and sat on the patio for some cider and sun. Kind of nestled in, and hard to see unless you know about it, but it exists and you should definitely go. It's small little place but packed full of unique art. Fun little spot if you want delicious drinks before or after a meal. They have no food and they serve cheese that is pre wrapped from the cheese lady next door. I'm a huge fan of Vandermill and the traditional dry ciders so thought maybe it was overkill to have two cideries within 1 block of each other. This place is definitely nothing like Vandermill in regards to their cider. Heavy alcohol content but delicious sugary taste. I ordered the flight of every cider. I enjoyed them all. The ciders would be great for BBQs or BYOB party's. We wound up buying $50 in cider and carrying it home since we live a street over. My favorites were the minty, and the ballyhoo. They also had some other ciders from a sister company inside that I bought and loved. A must go if you want a break from heavy beer.

Let me tell ya the cider at Peoples is not your 1990s cider at all--it was awesome!! I had the Ginger Adams--3x(still got that beer mentality where ya stick to the same beer all night) but my comrades tried a variety of ciders where each had their own unique tastiness: sweet for the Zema crowd and different levels of dry for the more traditional drinker-afficionado. The environment is fantastic as well--small, small Irish pub with some vinyl you can request to be played. The barkeep shook my hand and introduced himself with my first order. This place gives ya hope in the fact that others in the world still accept all types of people as PEOPLE. There was definitely a regulars group present but just like diehard Lions fans, we were welcomed aboard with enthusiasm. My new favorite pub in GR--in fact the only authentic genuine pub in the city. Love it!

The owner, regulars, and bartenders are like surrogate brothers/sisters and watch out for everyone there - new acquaintances and old friends. Everyone is marvelously welcoming, and the place has a quirky local pub vibe. The place is small and intimate, so you don't walk in without walking out with new friend. I have brought my young daughter here for years (we grab a Fanta from next door at Chicago Style Gyro for her - that glorious place is a whole other 5 star review) and the people here treat her like their beloved niece. This will be the place she celebrates her 21st at. The cider here is unimaginably delicious. The seasonal selections and the staple flavors are all wins. Devout beer-only drinkers, hard cider experimenters, and cider connoisseurs will find something delicious to drink there. And every dollar stays local -with all local ingredients and local production. I highly recommend stopping by in summer to experience grabbing a cold mug of PCC cider, finding a seat in their patio, and watching the cars go by while the sun sets over Leonard. And the hot cider in winter is soul soothing especially while watching the snow blow outside.

The place feels special. Rustic, nestled in the woods with an old abandoned home and renovated barn. However, on this sunny 40* day it's wise to wear boots or shoes you don't mind trekking through the mud from the parking lot to the cider barn. The igloo's were nice, hot today with the sun. We turned off the heater and stripped down to our t-shirts. The kids had fun drinking the NA cider and I enjoyed a couple of pints of the dry cider. The picnic table inside easily sat 4 of us and had room for board games to play. The "surprise" was a homemade cherry cream puff with drizzled chocolate on top. It was absolutely delicious. Overall, a great experience for a low key Valentine's Day lunch with our little family. That cream puff though... it really was the cherry on top! Check it out if you want a different experience. It's worth the drive. Make sure to reserve the igloo online in advance to avoid disappointment. Happy Valentine's Day!

As I was reading the Michigan BrewTrail magazine I ran across their advertisement page, and was confused that it had a Grand Rapids address so It prompted me to do a little research. After a deep dive I found out that they are a farm/farmers market and a restaurant, cider/winery. If you Yelp search you won't find their restaurant, cider/winery because it pops up as Ed Dunneback and Girls Farm Market. This new Pink Barrel Cellars page should help separate this from just a farmers market, and help highlight some of their amazing food and drink. I went on their last day of live music according to their online schedule. When I showed up the parking lot was full and there was well over 100 people there. If you go inside you will immediately notice that this place is so much more than a farmers market. In the back they have a bar serving some amazing ales, seltzers, stouts, ciders, and wine by the glass. In the middle they have fresh donuts, wine by the bottle, fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. Near the front they have a food stand. All the employees were spectacular and very informative. I had many questions, and they were all very Knowledgeable. Found out they have a few beers that have won national beer awards. For lunch I wound up ordering the pretzel with beer cheese, and ordered a honeycrisp ale. The shareable size of the menu isn't joking. It's very large and you're gonna want to share. I was so full after my pretzel that I couldn't even think about a second beer. The beer cheese was the BEST beer cheese I've ever eaten in my life. It was out of this world. The beer was also pretty spectacular. The beer was so good that I couldn't resist the urge to buy some wine by the bottle with the hopes it was just as good. I enjoyed everything at their outdoor seating while listening to live music. If I had gone with someone I definitely would of taken advantage of cornhole and drank wine by the glass. After eating I couldn't resist walking around the farm that had a ton of people running and smiling. In the back I observed the piggies, Eddie and Joe, napping. Also got to say hi to their pony's and goats . I walked through the orchard, and also the pick your own pumpkin patch. They have a huge slidefor the kids, and a playground. Highly recommend following this place on social media to stay up to date on menu changes, and event updates. Such an eventful Sunday afternoon. Definitely worth the visit.

It's a little bit of a lot of things, but what we experienced was nice. They also rent some part of the place as an event venue. I'm not sure if they still do u-pick apples, hayrides, corn mazes etc. or not. We ordered a meat, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, a couple coffee drinks, and a doughnut. The employees were not overly friendly or even really smiling, so I agree that they could have been friendlier - they all seemed to be high school or college age. Our order was done quickly and we settled in to eat. The sandwich was hot and the croissant was buttery and soft. I really liked the crispy bacon on the sandwich. It was a good portion to split along with the cinnamon sugar doughnut, which was fresh and fluffy. My oat milk latte was decent but nothing special. They use Madcap coffee at Frugthaven. Overall we had a nice time and I'd come back to try the hard cider. There's some outdoor seating and the bar area looked spacious and airy. The old timey barbershop is cool, but feels a bit weird and out of place. Otherwise the other elements of the business seem to fit. They seem to be catering to an older/Millennial crowd that wants a good shot for Instagram, versus the more family-friendly farm that it used to be. While we understand they were closing in about an hour, the way we were treated felt unprofessional. We ordered one sandwich--the Hash Slingin' Slasher--and handed over our card to start a tab. From the start, we felt unwelcome. We sat in a corner and were being stared at by other customers, who appeared to be regulars & family members. The difference in treatment between them and us was striking. Most concerning was the young bartender, whose behavior was clearly unprofessional. She was rude and dismissive toward us, yet extremely friendly, upbeat, and attentive to everyone else. This made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable for first-time guests. Around 7:06 PM, an older couple arrived. The staff greeted them warmly with smiles and even hugs. They had no issues ordering food, were asked about drinks, and were made to feel welcome. Meanwhile, we were rushed, ignored, and never asked about drinks. When I went up to order a mocktail, a bottle of peach sangria to go, and a box for our sandwich, all conversation stopped. Multiple regulars & family members turned and stared at me--it wasn't subtle. My fiancée noticed it too. It didn't feel like a "closing soon" situation; it felt exclusionary. We had stopped by once before near closing time and met Nicholas, who was very kind--that's why we came back. Sadly, his kindness couldn't overcome the unprofessional behavior and uncomfortable atmosphere. The canned meads are excellent, the bottled wines are solid, and the food itself was good, but the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome.
