    Wine tasting set up

Fun and quiet wine tasting in town. Marilyn was fantastic and knowledgeable without over bearing. She poured each sample without rushing us through, held pleasant conversation, and was not pushy on sales! Stopped in for an afternoon wine tasting. Tasting included 5 samples, a piece of chocolate, and your glass to take home. My mom and I ended up purchasing the beach cottage rose and beach cottage red. Overall fun and memorable experience!

Nice wine tasting for 10 dollars in town. Got to try 5 different wines or ciders. Ice wine was 4 dollars separately. The one we tried tasted like vinegar. Yelp has coupon for wine purchases.it was fun.

Great service! Thank you for a lovely afternoon full of information! Such a lovely selection. I'm a sweet drinker and loved each one I tried. KID-FRIENDLY Sorry I accidentally answered one of the questions saying it wasn't. But they have a kids corner!

    Lazy afternoon of wine tasting.

I've had some amazing butternut squash ravioli at other restaurants, but Tello's recipe was the best. Savory, buttery, slightly salty which you need to cut the richness of the sauce. The fresh pasta texture was the perfect al dente, almost as if they rolled these out specifically for me when I walked in. Had a lovely sauvignon blanc as a great compliment. Parking was easy and free on a Tuesday night at 5:00pm at the back, no wait. When we left around 7:30pm, there was an hour wait. We'll be adding this destination to our trip to South Haven every summer! Note: Ordinarily I'd give this experience 4 stars, as my fork was dirty with lots of crusted cheese and there was a mistake on our bill, but my dinner was so phenomenal that it adds another star.

She made great suggestions on which wines to try and had excellent recommendations of other places in the region to check out. She emphasized the 3 sip rule with the wine- make the judgement after three sip. Held true. I liked every wine I tried but the Cab Franc was my favorite! Because it is summer I also picked up a bottle of the Gewurtztraminer, super crisp and refreshing. The grounds are lovely - I wish it was a little further from the highway but what can you do? Very worth a visit if you are in the Benton Harbor area.

The grounds were beautiful and I loved the view of the vines from the tasting counter. We tried a variety of the reds and whites; some of our favorites were the Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. We were disappointed that the Chardonnay Reserve was not available. Equally, our server didn't wash our glasses before switching from white to red nor really explained any of the wines while tasting them. She did leave us the bottle to peruse details. Some of the more common varietals had a unique flavor so go in open minded for what notes of fruit or spices you taste. Overall if the service level increased, this spot would easily be a 5/5.

They were doing a NOLA-themed menu, so we started out with a Sazerac which was DELICIOUS. We ended our meal with Spanish coffee, equally delicious even though our mixer said she'd never made one before. In-between, we enjoyed tuna tartare, oyster bisque, Cajun walleye with hush puppies, a smoky Cajun gumbo, beignets with chocolate sauce and an Argentine malbec. All EXCELLENT!!! If you haven't been to the Historian, you're missing out. Great food, friendly service, nice vibe and decent prices.

It was refreshing to peruse an interesting small plates menu which we would definitely go back to try on a future visit. There is also a traditional menu as well as a special menu on weekends prepared by a guest chef featuring international cuisine. We tried the "Thai Night" menu and especially enjoyed the vegetarian potstickers in a delicious Thai sauce and the noodle salad with shrimp. The flavors were layered, with a delicate creamy texture and just the right amount of spice. There is a parking lot on site and reservations are a must on weekends, although an early arrival might get you a nice spot at the bar!
