We had a great experience at Our Brewing's newest location! We loved the cozy cabin vibes of the interior, and the beer was great! We've been to their other location in years past, and this was even better (and we liked them before!) They don't sell food but they're next door to a food truck space, and you can wander between the two spaces. Such a good addition to GR! Can't wait to go back.

The Mitten Brewing - A pizza sampler - so good!

What a find! Came in for lunch on Saturday, 9/26/26 around 12:30pm. To drink he had the Sodfather that he joked was actually made with sod as it smelled very "earthy". Not a highlight for either of us. For a "light" beer it was skunky and surprisingly hoppy. I had the Sparking Anderson seltzer and was pleased with it. It was a watermelon lime (I think?) and it had the right ratio of flavor to fizz for me. The absolute highlight was the PIZZA FLIGHT. What the what!? We have never heard of such a thing and we were so excited! This gave us an opportunity to try some flavors/kinds we likely would not have tried otherwise. Each kind of pizza had 4 slices, which we assumed would be about 2 bites per piece, but they were bigger than that. Each flight serves 4+ people, but for the price, $35 )if I remember right) is a hell of a deal. Being there early afternoon there were a lot of tables with kids, and when you figure you can feed your family for that price - this makes Mitten Brewing a no brainer. The pizza was some of the best I've had - for that specific style of pizza. The crust was flatbread style, chewy and such a good flavor. We should have asked for a side ranch to dip the crust in, it was that good. We will absolutely go back when we have the chance.

You pay for your table by the hour. You can pick from a wide range of games from their game library. You can also bring your own games or purchase one at the establishment. We played Chameleon while enjoying sandwiches and chicken tenders. The food was pretty good and made with local ingredients. You can order from a QR code on the table and the food is brought to your table. For dessert we ordered a cookie skillet. We had a good time at Hose Rules and highly recommend it.

Many brands were local that I'd never heard of before, and it was fun to experiment and try new things. Their food menu honestly shocked me with how tasty everything was. For a board game bar, I usually expect food to take a back seat or be phoned in, but everything was delicious! I had to try the elote deviled eggs, which was a combo I had never considered but I'm so glad someone did! I also got the truffle mac and cheese and a house salad. Both were excellent! The board game selection was extensive, with old favorites and hidden gems. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll be sure to stop in again!

I tried two flights consisting of eight different beers and all were very good, most were exceptional. For food, I ordered the Seoul Food Chicken Sando. Staff was super friendly. Definitely recommend a visit!

Coming from someone who loves a hoppy IPA and an amber, they combined my two worlds into one. So, it was a natural easy love. For my next, I went with their "Blinky's Black IPA" which was good but got more a weak porter feel than IPA. Like I said, it was good and I'd drink it again but with that expectation. FOOD: I went with an olive burger with be try fresh and real ingredients. The burger itself was full of flavor; add the rest of it and it was phenomenal. If I had to complain about something, I could have used a touch more olive sauce. Now the egg roll... I went with the "Guava the Hutt". I'll just say, I ordered two to go in hopes I can resurrect them in the air fryer later. The back half of the building is a pickleball area and the front half is the brewery and restaurant. Very cool look as they have a few shipping containers as sitting areas. Plenty of seating where I didn't feel jammed in. Also, a few arcade games. The service was friendly but know that it is minimal as you will order from the QR code at your table and order drinks at the bar. Definitely worth checking out and plan on returning.

The staff were friendly and we appreciated "The Library" filled with games and books. I was nostalgic and read Hunter's Guide to 1996 Michigan complete with a recommendation to stop at the now obsolete Pleasure Island Water Park. That used to be my absolute favorite getaway as a kid! We ordered arancini as a starter that came out tasting crisp like a tator tot, but the shape and taste actually reminded me more of a fried tteokbokki (Korean rice noodle) known for its deliciousness through its texture highlighting the spicy sauce. This would've been amazing had they had a nice gochujang mayo combo to dip this crispy treasure in, rather than ranch and pizza sauce. Next we tried the tikka masala pizza. Fun and inventive idea... much better than the naan pizza I had in Muskegon... however the sauce didn't taste as good as my homemade tikka masala base and though the pizza was tasty with varied texture, we found it somewhat lacked seasoning especially on the protein. If I were to construct it, instead of potato I would've had chicken, red pepper, cilantro, fresh avocado and pickled onion. Yum! To drink, I enjoyed a refreshing ginger Kombucha sourced from Walker Brothers in Nashville Tennessee. The kids loved their cheese pizza and cheese smash burger with fries and drinks. Overall, great first experience and would love to come back as it seems like they are constantly reinventing themselves with tasty morsels and brews. If you come, there is free parking in the back. If you love it here there is a $150 lifetime membership (not sure what that all entails but sounds special). Thanks 7 Monks, we will be back!
