Pros: amazing spirits and concoctions Cons: a wee bit pricy ~$12/drink, limited parking Such a beautiful location. Not too much seating, but cozy. Drinks are a little steep, but are really lovely. Build-a-bramble with dry gin was a top favorite. House blackberry lemonade with mint, a little fiz, and the dry gin (you can pick what spirit to add), was light, effervescent, and gorgeous. I had an Old Fashioned -but the Bramble shined. There's street parking so finding a spot on that section of Wealthy can be tricky.

Compare how you feel to when you have a Coke in a glass, a cold glass, as opposed to a can or, god forbid, a plastic 2 Liter. Tell me which experience is superior. You already know it's going to be the glass. Especially if it's chilled. And that's the ambience of the environment in which you are enjoying your beverage should facilitate. In Eastern Kille, I asked myself, "Am I drinking this cocktail in an environment that feels like a plastic bottle or like a chilled glass?" And tonight, I felt like I was vibing in a chilled glass.

One of my favorite places for a drink in Grand Rapids! I absolutely love the aesthetic in this bar. The simple details and design make it for me. This place is small with limited space but I truly enjoy sitting at the bar the most. Each bartender here has shown a lot of kindness and impressed me with their drink making skills! Good place to meet up with a friend or date for a drink and I would recommend this place to anyone. I haven't had a bad experience here! Love love love it!

Stopped in one night after dinner. This place had the latest hours so it's where we ended up. I've been here 3x now. Each time we have had great service and great cocktails. Every one of the bartenders has been helpful and friendly even on their busiest nights. I have food allergies/intolerances and they are always ready to listen and help come up with something wonderful. I haven't had a cocktail I didn't like. Love the look of this place. Very different from most cocktail bars. It has a great laid back atmosphere. If I had to point out a negative it would be that the music is a bit loud sometimes so it can be hard to have a conversation with people. Definitely a place you should visit if you haven't.

One of Grand Rapids' newest cocktail bars is no stranger to the craft cocktail game - Eastern Kille has been operating on Ottawa for a while now, and they recently opened this second location in the busy Wealthy Street neighborhood. Nate and I stopped in for a drink during this year's Uptown Shop Hop and were able to grab the last two seats at the bar. The space is pretty cozy, so I would expect a wait during peak cocktail bar times. The modern decor and soft lighting was impressive and beautiful - I couldn't stop staring at the light fixtures near the bar. The menu is concise, with eight signature cocktails, five classics, and four draft cocktail options when we stopped in. There were two specialty drinks listed on a dark menu board up on a wall near the bar that was kind of hard to see. I wish those were listed on a paper with the regular book-style menu. They also offer spirits (flights or pours), house shots, and aperitifs. Pricing is very reasonable, ranging from $8 for a draft gin and tonic to $13 for a signature cocktail. I tried the chupacabra: reposado agave spirit, ancho chili liqueur, ginger syrup, lemon, and tajin rim. Nate got the Notorius F.I.G.: fig-infused bourbon, house fernet, brown sugar, and black walnut. It was fun watching the bartenders make the drinks - we saw a flaming drink in a skull cup, I'm thinking that was the Mai Tai. Our drinks were nicely balanced, smooth, and drinkable. The chupacabra was refreshing and not really spicy. We both enjoyed our drinks and would love to stop in again when we're in the area.

I was looking for a quick spot to grab a drink before seeing a movie at The Wealthy Theater when I saw EK Wealthy on Google Maps and remembered they had just opened this location. They've made great use of a small space with plenty of seating and an open floor plan. There's a cute green interior and theme with plants lining the bar shelves, though it does seem a bit reminiscent of a salad or juice bar. I personally prefer the lighting, location, ambience, and smell (or lack thereof) of this spot compared to the original (which I'm also a fan of). I ordered the Left My Heart in MN and my partner got their classic old fashioned. My drink was tasty, and I normally enjoy egg white cocktails, but the foam to liquid ratio was a bit too high for my liking. There was a lot of foam leftover at the end and it wasn't as meringue-like as I'm used to. The bartender was pleasant, the overall experience was nice, and I'd definitely come back!

Great quality cocktails (even if you're not a huge cocktail connoisseur). Staff was very friendly. Fantastic vibes for a pre or post-dinner cocktail :)

Was really anticipating visiting the new location after visiting the main distillery during art prize. We decided to get cocktails on my birthday, but had to find another place to celebrate after observing closure due to light maintenance. So a month after my birthday we finally found time to make it over to our favorite cocktails in Grand Rapids. The space is absolutely amazing, and a major upgrade from their main location. The inside has a beautiful Art Deco interior which I was in awe of. We did find that we didn't like the chairs though. The low back chairs are brutal on the back and lead to bad habits like leaning on the bar. The bartenders were very attentive and enjoyable. Really looked like they loved working there. We ordered many drinks, and as usual, we loved them all. I don't like tequila, but they made a cocktail that had me second guessing my alcohol choices. We also went all in, and also got their new desserts. Luckily they weren't out of the key lime tart. The key lime tart paired amazingly with my bourbon cocktail. They have something unique and delicious that the main location doesn't. They need to devise a system that has a pairing guide for each dessert they have with the rotating cocktails to really enhance the experience. They only had 3 desserts and were out of the pecan tart so it's clearly a popular idea. Overall, still the best cocktails in town and a must go. Either location is acceptable with this location having a smaller menu, and desserts. The main location has a larger menu and events. Either way you can't lose and will get the best cocktails. Follow the locations on social media to get updated menus, and event schedules.

Doctors Orders on the left. Don't recall name of the teacup drink but it was warm, boozy and delicious!

The cocktails and the presentation are always on point at Eastern Kille! I loved my warm bourbon cocktail served in a teacup, and my hubby's cocktail was just what the Doctor ordered! Be sure to take home a bottle of their barrel finished gin.

Great atmosphere for cocktails before or after dinner! Lots of staff, got seats and our drinks right away! A little noisy.

Inside you will find an array of high tops and low tops as well as some dinette seating but no booths. Visiting recently on a Saturday was a little tough but that was because half of the restaurant was reserved for a scheduled party. The service was a little choppy but the team did apologize for the lengthy wait and the back and forth. I truly believe it was because they were expecting a large crowd and people who were dining in didn't have a place to sit right away. All in all the food was delicious! Note there are times where they run out of BBQ so if you don't want to make the trip you can call ahead. There stated hours of operation are: Mon - Thur: 4:00pm - 10:00pm Fri - Sat: 11:00am - 10:00pm Sunday: Closed We ordered the following: Chips and queso with a side of pico: this was delicious. The queso was creamy and the pico gave it a great tang! I don't know if the chips are made in house but they were great. $9 1/2 LB Smoked wings in buffalo sauce: The wings were served with ranch and they definitely fell off the bone tender. The buffalo sauce was your typical sauce flavor. The wings come with a slice of bread that they put under them - almost missed it. $8 BBQ Meat Sampler: 1/4 Lb. of Each Meat -- Chicken, Pork, Brisket, Pork Ribs Served with BobbyQ Sauce, a slice of bread and some pickle chips. This sampler was perfect for two. It was a great way to try all their bbq options. My favorite was the brisket. Everything was well seasoned and so tender. The BobbyQ Sauce is their bbq sauce and they serve it warm. The sauce has a nice tang to it and goes well with the food. Because the restaurant was pretty busy I did not ask if they offer other sauces. $28 Jalapeno Cornbread with whipped honey butter: the cornbread was good but we didn't really get that jalapeno kick and will most likely skip on this next time. $4 Kids menu MAC & CHEESE made with queso blanco and served with a choice of Chips, Apple Sauce, Potato Salad, or Fusion Slaw We chose the potato salad but it was very bland and the kids did not like how hard the potatoes were. I think my kids would give the fusion slaw or the house chips a try next time. $8 Overall the food was great and we love supporting local so we will definitely be back.

Lofted above is a great looking outdoors complete with heat lamps and a mini A framed covered area that can be rented for parties. We were greeted warmly by friendly staff and given a kids menu, draft and spirits menu, regular menu and restaurant week menu. Menus galore! We went with the 3 course meal (many items can be ordered on the regular menu) for $25. I ordered the tomato paprika soup and my husband got the split pea soup. Of the two, the split pea soup was the clear winner. Two kinds of pork (cubed and shredded), well balanced seasoning and texture married well to enhance a soup I've loved since childhood. I could've easily eaten a bowl for my meal. The accompanying homemade Dutch Rye Bread, though I'm sure it's authentic, I didn't care for. It was dense, soft and had an off putting flavor. The second course we had was equally delicious. My hubby had the beef and pork sausage overtop a bed of mashed potatoes with kale, onions and bacon. I loved the addition of kale and the sausage was tasty. Everything was well seasoned. My beef slow cooked with apples and beer was delicious. I wish it had been served with more beef. It would have been nice to have some bigger chunks of meat to dive into. The mashed potatoes they came with were good, but the potatoes with kale were the star between the two dishes. The kid's meals were also good. The hamburger had a nice smokey flavor with a tasty side of fries. My daughter didn't care for her Mac 'n cheese, but that's because it was too refined for her palette. The Gouda cheese was complimented by the egg noodles. The third course was dessert. I tried the restaurant Flip custard: Dutch custard, fruit compote, and topped with a dollop of Greek Yogurt. It came with a cute spoon that gave the perfect portions and the flavors all complemented each other well. I would order this again and again. It was a great balance of tangy, fruity and sweet. My husband had the stroopwafle icecream. It was also good, and came with a cute mini stroopwafle. I washed all this down with their Bier Distillery Lager and tried a flavored banket spirit. This restaurant originally was just a beer and specialty liquor spot. I love that they now serve food, because that was the highlight of our evening. I wish this establishment was closer to our home, but perhaps will come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy the outdoor patio. Definitely come and check out this The Bier Distillery for yummy Dutch inspired food and drink! Worth the drive.

We split a burger with carmelized onions pickles and paprika mayo and had a garden salad with dill pickle vinaigrette They have so much to offer and it so unique.

I was so excited about this option when I saw it on Instagram but there is so little mention of it in the menu (basically an, "ask us about our mini cocktail flight" at the bottom of a page) and no leaflet showing the flight details or price. I'm very much a person that likes to try a little bit for everything so once I remembered it after we left, I had a moment. I got a Gin Fizz and the bf got a Blueberry Vanilla Mule. The gin Fizz tasted very much like lemonade, even with the addition of cran flavoring. The Blueverry Vanilla Mule was very strongly clove. If you like clove, you'd likely like that one. We decided against getting second cocktails since happy hour had ended, but got a flight to try their stuff. We like the liqueurs but they are hard to sip straight due to all the flavor they pack. Our favorite was the Pink Peppercorn Gin out of everything we tried. We would definitely come back, but please print out the cocktail flight list or at least suggest it if people are hemming and hawing over what to get like I was.

The tour is $20 and it comes with a flight, which we were going to try anyway. Or you can just do the tour for $10 if you don't want a flight. It's not much of a "tour" in a physical sense as their production facility is small, in just one room, but we learned a lot about distilling in general, as well as a lot of information about the company and their products. I'd highly recommend it especially if you don't know much about the company. The interior has a 20s speakeasy feel, which I really liked. It's a little fancy but comfortable and welcoming. The drink menu was pretty large and it was tough for me to choose which drink I wanted after the flight. I ended up with the blueberry margarita because it was on happy hour. It was really great! Not too sweet. Nate got the cherry black Manhattan which we both enjoyed too. I loved the flight because we got to try pretty much all of the spirit offerings, including their amaro, Oaxacan green corn bourbon, and pink peppercorn gin, which were all unique and very tasty. Our bartender was knowledgable and very kind - great service. I'll definitely be back!
