It's not the fanciest place either, but heck, 80's deco can pass for some tasty food. I generally got the wonton soup which is pretty good. Today I got curry chicken and white rice. My mom and brother shared a combo C. The total cost for both and a drink was $15.37, but there was enough food to feed 5. They load their containers to the brink of collapsible with extra chow mien literally escaping the sides of the containers. When you order a combo, they're soo used to people not wanting fried rice, you can just ask for extra chow mien instead. You also get choice of three entrees under the "steam table." If you REALLY want to be picky and choose the best possible looking food, you can ask for the chef to custom you a plate with shrimp or other meat. The guy has been there FOREVER and will be happy to. My mom and brother really do not care on appearances though, and were happy with the 5pds of Chinese food they got for 6.99. A custom plate would run you $8.50. I'm okay with it because of its genre: not fancy Chinese food, just good food at an awkward location. Love this place! Food is great, amazing noodles, and the curry chicken and curry beef are AMAZING. I came to this place regularly for my local fix of chinese cuisine. Since the quarantine however, besides people getting upset over stupid stuff, the prices have gotten rather steep. A combo B used to be about 7-8 dollars without a card surcharge. Since the quarantine started the price of a simple combo box have gone up a few dollars to 10 dollars a box with an included 60cents....no wait 1 dollar.....no wait 2 DOLLAR card charge. This means whenever you buy food here you get charged an additional 2 dollars making that 10 dollar fill you up tasty meal into 12 dollars if you don't have 11 dollars on hand (with tax after the 10 dollars). This may not seem like a lot, but when you go as much as I do, it starts to add up. The food is really good, but I don't go often now. read more

The won ton soup is probably the best I've ever had and their orange chicken is absolutely delicious. The servings are huge. Be prepared for leftovers because you will have them. The chicken was somehow both mushy and chewy at the same time, difficult to eat and even worse to digest. The experience was like eating shards of hardened shoe leather suspended in jelly. The fried rice was okay. The man behind the counter seemed in a big hurry to get us out the door despite being the only people in the restaurant. He charged me a whopping $2 for using my card, which is the most I've ever seen in any establishment. He swiped my card before I could change my mind and give him cash. Tons of food sitting out in the trays but I never see any customers here, so I kind of doubt he cycles it out regularly. In hindsight, the lack of customers should have been a red flag. I just figured it was because of covid times. $16 for one two entree plate and a drink, and I barely touched my food. I thought maybe putting it in the fridge for a few hours would enhance the consistency of it, but no. It's inedible. Sad. Oh yeah, and the guy wasn't wearing a mask either. Very disappointed . I've been here before and had a decent meal, for lunch and diner. Tonight was very disappointing. I came in here more than an hour before they close. They're chow mein was almost out and didn't look quite appealing. So we kindly asked if they could make more. Since we were going to be taking 3 large plates and all chow mein only. They rudely said no, that they were no longer cooking. And that we could take what they had. They basically offered us the scraps. When they had more than enough time to make more when other fresh dishes were coming out of the kitchen. This is what happens when you leave young stoners in charge of the restaurant. No customer service and very rude staff. Our family will not be coming back to this place. read more

As much as i've been to and enjoyed this place very much in the past, it has become one of my least liked places. I don't live nearby so when I come to that area of town I call my order in so I can grab it on my way home. The last three times I've tried to call the line just rings and rings and no matter how many times I call, I never get an answer. it's very frustrating because if I go straight to the store and place the order, most times I'll spend 20-30 minutes waiting. I try to call ahead of time to avoid that wait but apparently they've decided to stop answering their phone. Too bad because I actually enjoyed some of their food. read more

New Panda is terrible. I went in expecting to compare it to Panda Express which is okay but not a high bar to reach. We were hungry and fooled by the good reviews. In my opinion it was very dirty. There were no high chairs which is odd because it shares the parking lot with a kid's gym. The food was terrible and greasy and after 5 minutes we tossed it and went to subway. WOW... probably one of THE DIRTIEST restaurants I have been to in a very very long time. It was actually disgusting. Walked in on New Years Eve (last night), and no one was there. The tables were sticky and one table hadn't even been cleared with old food stuck on the table. 3 people were working an older lady, an older man and a younger mid 40's guy. Not even a smile one of their faces. I wanted to patronize local small business and it was really bad. I asked to use the restroom and he gave me this long coat hanger thing. When I walked into the restroom I have to tell you I thought I was in an old gas station restroom in Compton. Graffiti all etched into the toilet seat, on the walls, and an inch worth of thick gooey grime everywhere. I didn't want to touch anything. The floor of the restaurant itself and the baseboards looked like this as well. I thought if the front looks like this God knows what the back kitchen looks like. It was literally gross! The food was not good either. The egg rolls were so oily I actually had to spit it out. Tasted like it soaked up too much oil. The chow mein literally has a puddle of oil in it at the bottom. All I tasted was that dirty oil taste when they reuse oil over and over, (like some donut shops taste. It's a distinct taste). The orange chicken was hard like it had been cooked way early then re-heated. Not fresh and melt in your mouth. The beef broccoli was chewy meat, and soggy broccoli. They will not make it if they do not clean up their act! Literally. It doesn't take but $30 to paint a bathroom, change out a toilet seat and keep the place clean. And this was NOT new graffiti. Had been there a long time. Regardless... this is not LA... this is a nice neighborhood in Ventura. read more

Pros, Cons, the summary PROs--5 stars--Biggest reason is they are very, very generous with their portions. Plenty of grease and such, but I don't care, I want delicious food. All of their options are good, and you get plenty of them!! I usually get it to go. For the amount of food, it is very cheap too. I always go here when I need a Chinese food fix. You get what you pay for. I got the two item combo. Chow mein, rice, orange chicken, and BBQ pork. Pork was barely warm, orange chicken was crunchy and greasy. Everything was super salty. I did get a lot of food, but threw away over half of it. I was super hungry that's why I ate almost half of it. I definitely would pick Panda Express over this place.
