Heard so many good things about this restaurant that it was time for a visit. We requested two Thai iced teas which were quite delicious with coconut milk subbed for the cows milk. We told the server we would be sharing our orders. We shared a vegan hot pot and a Pad See Ew with chicken. The hot pot consisted of broccoli, shredded cabbage, carrots, steamed tofu, corn, udon noodles, two vegan dumplings, sliced squash, spinach and baby bok choy. Veggies were tender crisp although the broth was rather bland. The Pad See Ew was a bit disappointing. While the sauce was tasty, the broccoli and carrots tender crisp, the chicken was not only dry but quite tough and chewy. I must add, as were sharing these dishes, the server neglected to bring additional plates and a serving ladle for the soup. So my hubby had to go inside find someone and request the serving utensils for both dishes, plates and eating utensils for sharing. So we waited again. I tried calling Asiatique Eatery several times to place a takeout order. Each time, someone would answer the phone and then seem to set it aside without speaking. This happened multiple times. On the final call, the phone was answered and then left disconnected, making it impossible to place an order. The food is good, but the customer service experience was very disappointing. If customers can't get through by phone, how are they supposed to place takeout orders? I hope management addresses this issue because it creates a frustrating experience for customers. read more

Came here for lunch during the week with my mom. It was decorated very festively for Christmas. Service was pretty fast since there weren't too many people there for lunch on a Friday. My mom had a miso soup, which had coconut milk in it. So more of a Thai style rather than Japanese miso soup. She also had the gyoza and said it was really good. I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken. It was pretty good. A lot of food, so you can definitely get two meals out of it. I put some sriracha on it and it tasted a lot better. There's a lot of curry powder on the rice, so just be warned. Also, I did find a shrimp tail in my rice even though I did not order shrimp, so that was a little questionable. If you have any allergies just make sure to tell them ahead of time so there's hopefully no cross contamination. Not sure about parking because I walked there. The mix of Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese was perfect for everyone's preferences we started with some wings which were amazing crispy and flavorful. Came here randomly because I saw desserts and vegan options. I like that they had a vegan menu. The person who served us was really nice. The first server we encountered was really rude and just walked away when I wasn't done with my questions. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. I told her my allergies to dairy and eggs. She suggested the Thai tea with coconut milk, and the water based pineapple mango shaved ice omit the condensed milk. The pineapple mango shaved ice ($14) had mango purée, mango crystal boba, and pineapple bits. I also ordered the tofu teriyaki ($17) to go With the sauce on the side. My family ordered the pork chow mein ($18) and Black Pink (chocolate with strawberry milk) for $8. They thought their food was okay. I was not a fan of the sauce to the tofu teriyaki so I was glad I got it on the side. The portion to the tofu teriyaki and chow mein were so small, and overpriced. I really love how they have a vegan menu to make things easier to find vegan food. I love their tom yum soup, so perfectly sweet, creamy, savory, and spicy. I love their interior decorations and their fast service. They brought out honey lemon hot water for me, answered questions about their chili peppers and sauces. This was my go to meal the first time I came here and I got it again today, it was just as good as I remembered! Delicious broth and full of seafood! I ordered an extra seasoned egg to it and it was yummy though I would've liked it more if the yolk was more jammy. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming. Oh man. Ok, food is 5 stars. It's very very good. However, as others have said, their service is mindblowingly slow (and feels even more so when you're in a bit of a rush). They were not that busy, and it didn't seem like there was a dearth of wait staff..... but I think we were sat at a table for 20 minutes before someone even thought to check on us. And then, the food took another nearly half an hour to come out. Perhaps they were backed up in the kitchen... The food is very good. We both got the Kra pow - mine with the minced chicken, my partner's with whatever vegan protein they have. It comes with a fried egg on top, and the flavors are great. I ordered vegetable ramen; it was as good as a noodle in America. But I'm Japanese, so I go to a Japanese-owned restaurant when I want to eat ramen. They also have desserts and cocktails, so it's a good place to stop by after eating elsewhere. The staff were friendly, but I think the service can be improved a little (sorry) because It took a long time from the time we were seated until the server came. It was the same for other customers, and everyone was confused. I actually found out about this restaurant because of the Vegan Chef Challenge in January of 2024 when they did a special menu for it. Ever since then, they ended up adding an entire vegan section in the menu which I have tried every item on and love! On our way back from vacation we decided to make a spontaneous stop at Asiatique Eatery and this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We were warmly greeted by John our server and everyone else at the restaurant were really attentive to our needs including the owner! John provided exceptional service. We ordered, 1. Chicken Katshu Yellow Curry Bowl, 2. Tom Yum Ramen and 3. Matcha Bingsoo (A Korean Shaved Ice) We did not wait long for our food. Our food was delicious and rich in taste and flavor. The shaved ice was a great soft texture and perfect with green tea condensed milk and red bean. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever nearby and want to try Asian fusion. Asiatique Eatery is located on Main Street of Ventura. There is ample seating inside and I love the decor inside. Super modern and the pictures of Asian sceneries pair well with the restaurant theme. Their menu is super long. They have so many different Asian ethnic dishes that they offer. We got the crispy calamari and basil wings as appetizers. For the entrees, we got the Singaporean noodles and tom yum chasu ramen. Appetizers: The crispy calamari was probably my favorite out of all of them. Breaded well and flavor was on point! The basil wings were good, but it was missing something. The taste profile was pretty flat. It had some sort of gravy as the sauce with fried basil on top, but didn't really have much flavor. The chicken wings were fried well though. Entrees: Tomyum chasu ramen was a miss for me. The soup was too sweet for my taste. The pork was chewy and hard to eat. The noodles were good though. Singaporean noodles were yummy but didn't have much curry powder unlike other places that I've tried. Haven't tried any of the desserts but the bingsu looked super good, but we were so full. Needed something new on a Saturday hanging out with friends. We decided to ahead and pick it up. Order went smooth until I asked for the bingsu. She told me that they could not order that ahead of time. Then when we arrived to pick our food and order the Bingsu she told me they do make them to go. I came here with a friend on a whim based on their signs outside advertising their desserts. The menu is very extensive and I ended up ordering the tonkotsu ramen while she ordered the tom yum chashu ramen for lunch. I liked the tonkotsu ramen, and while it wasn't the best tonkotsu ramen I've ever had, the flavor was there and the coconut milk made it interesting. The tom yum ramen was better with its hot and sour flavor. It felt like a hybrid tom yum and tom kha because of the coconut milk. I would order the tom yum ramen next time. We both LOVED the mango sticky rice shaved ice. The shaved ice itself was mango flavored, the mango was super sweet and ripe, and it was fun to eat this with the sticky rice. The presentation was also super cute, because it came with a little bear made of frozen milk(?) sitting on top of some whipped cream! They even have Pho! I tried the chicken lettuce wraps. They were good! Definitely can taste the garlic and ginger, which gave it a savory flavor. Have you ever had PF Chang's lettuce wraps? They're great! Asiantiques version tastes like it's missing something. Maybe hoisin sauce? They served me with wilted lettuce too. I asked them to give me fresher lettuce and the lady said it's extra. I wanted to offer them a nickel for the extra lettuce but I had to show her the wilted lettuce. She changed her mind about charging me extra. There was no apology when she brought me 2 more pieces of lettuce. There's nothing more disgusting than being served a wilted lettuce with your meal. The place was busy so everything gets fine so quick. Therefore, I felt like the customer service was hasty. For my entree, I tried the chicken tonkotsu. It was delicious! Crunchy tonkotsu and creamy coconut curry. However, the potatoes tasted spoiled. I only ate the rice and the chicken and a little bit of the curry. Lastly, dessert! I've been loving the mango sticky rice by Mama and I had to try Asiantique's version. How do they measure up? Well, I'm disappointed as it didn't come with coconut cream or sauce. I could taste the salt in the sweet rice. Also, there's coconut sauce but it was so little I could barely see it. They also did not come with a lot of mangos. They cut the mangos small. It's the sauce that makes it great, but they skimped on the sauce. Scale of 1-10, with 10 the highest, they get a 3. For customer service, they get a 4.
