The worst pedicure service I've gotten. First red flag to turn around was the shop didn't look clean. They didn't even sanitize what they were using they just moved from one client to the next. I walked in and was seated very quickly unfortunately I waited 20 mins in my chair with cold water, but I didn't mind because I had the massage chair on. My service lasted less than 10 minutes, she rushed scrubbing my feet and didn't really massage my feet. Yet they were complaining the fairs were taking away business. Worst pedicure I ever had. Not only did the nail tech rush through my pedicure, from cutting my cuticles, scrubbing off the dead skin, massaging my feet, even put hot stones directly on my bare skin without checking the temperature. As I looked over my feet after she was done multiple employees walked past looking confused at me. When I asked for my feet to be fixed they looked perplexed. They didn't offer shellac, only upgrade the offered was wax. In the picture below are my toes on the SAME day. 4 hours after receiving said and getting out of the shower. Save your money and don't find yourself in the same position as myself who now has to pay double to fix something that I paid to be done to behind with. read more

My mom and I have been coming here consistently for pedicures for almost 6 years. The ladies are always so sweet and make sure to take care of us. This was my first and last visit to New Nails. We were drawn in by a ValPak coupon that said the salon was newly renovated. It sure didn't look like there was any renovation done. The pedicure chairs were old and filthy! The salon was not clean. My friend lifted a pad on the foot rest of the pedicure chair to find it full of filth. They have a COMMUNAL paraffin wax that is used by multiple clients without care or concern for sanitation. I basically had a polish change because I was afraid of cross contamination. My friend got a chin and eyebrow wax and woke the next day with a itchy rash. read more

No sanitizing?? I was a first customer of the day and liked my pedicure. HOWEVER when employee was done with me she immediately carried her tools to the next customer and used the same tools she used on me. She swished the callous remover tool in my lukewarm water. Same with the sandpaper. Did not clean any of the clippers or cuticle tools. Hopefully they were sanitized the night before. I got a fungus a few years ago because of the same thing. I wanted to bring some girlfriends here to treat them to a nice place that buffs nails to a shine instead of polish. Called and they said no extra charge to buff. Great! Mom came in town and I ended up taking her there first. She wanted the same color on her toes (whitish) as she had and they picked out a color that looked pink in the bottle. They insisted it was like her color n pulled out a color wheel to show her. She said she didn't want pink. They insisted it was white. She let them do it. Guess what? Pink. They said it was what she wanted and argued. We stopped arguing. They were nice other than that mostly. When they started buffing my nails though they burned hot using the buffer tool, and they weren't even shiny. Huh? They put everything away and said all done. I said politely, usually when I get nails buffed they are buffed to a shine. The mani lady got out a few other hand buffing tools/blocks grumpily and worked on those. They were a bit better. The pedi lady cane back and complained my natural nails were black (uh, no I haven't used polish in 3 years... these nails look pink and fine). And kept saying they were "shiny shiny" as if to convince me. Then they tried to up charge me for the buffing. Sad experience. Now I have to find another place that buffs and isn't too expensive . THEY DO NOT HONOR WHAT THERE SIGNS SAY. The gel polish is not free. I got my acrylics filled and it says gel polish is free on there sign outside the building and on the prices on the wall. The gel polish was 15 dollars for 10 nails with 2 coats. I never once seen them clean the utensils from going to foot to foot. They expected a tip from us while being rude about it. They give you ugly faced when you don't give them the amount of tip they want. I face them simply the tip they earned which was not much. I'm just not the happiest person at the moment. Went here to get a fill because it was really close to work. The person who did my fill was distracted with others around and not concentrating on doing my nails. I had thick pieces on my nail that didn't look right. My nails were uneven and my paint job was not sufficient. My right index finger was noticeably crooked. This is my first visit and a friend recommended the salon. There are several stations for pedicure and manicures. Their price list includes waxing too but I was here for the pedicure. I received a warm welcome and went to pick a color from a wide selection. They have massaging chairs and a flat screen TV for customers to enjoy. The technicians wore gloves and the foot baths had liners in it. My technician was polite and didn't make much small talk (to my relief). They used what looked like a mixer on my feet (don't know if that is good or not) but it made my feet feel amazing. My service included a scrub on my calves and feet...felt really nice! A paraffin dip was also a part of the service. The massage was quite unique because at one point she was hitting me with the back of her fist. A couple of times, my toes had a slight tingle feel, which wasn't exactly comfortable but it was for the briefest of moments. Overall, arrived at 12:40 and she was done at 1:15. Cost? $22 + tip. CHEAP, if you ask me. They use OPI and I really like that brand. read more

In all the years of going to a nail salon this has to be the best place I have been to. I go at slow times because at any place you go to for just about any type of service, if they are overwhelmed you will not get a through service. They do a complete pedicure, no place have I been to that takes their time to massage, exfoliate and hot wax till my feet legs arms and hands are extremely soft and looking beautiful. If you want to be pampered you have to go at non peak times. These gals work really hard and you will not be disappointed. read more

I've stopped by here before for a brow wax. I didn't have to wait and the girl did a great job. So I returned here for a manicure, pedicure and another brow wax. It was convenient because I live close. I didn't have an appointment and they were pretty busy, but I sat there for well over an hour with my feet in the water, waiting. The water eventually got to room temperature. They didn't warn me about the wait... Oh well, anyway. When it came to do my manicure in shellac, the girl didn't seem to care. Two coats were still not opaque enough and were streaky, there was no question about it so I'm not sure why she asked me if it was OK... Obviously I said no so she did another coat. A week later, it started chipping away. Nothing major, but still annoying. I've gone to places before where the shellac outlasted the nail growth and never chipped! Then when she waxed my brows, well... I've only had an eyebrow wax twice before but this was the worst of all! I had SO many stray hairs everywhere. I had to do quite a bit of touch up when I got home even though I asked her to pluck the strays away. On the plus side, their pedicures are good! They also use liners which is great! I'm on my feet a lot and they get easily callused, but most places don't care to take good care of it--just scrub and call it good. This place did a good job leaving me with super soft feet! Their prices are also very reasonable. I'll probably be back just because it is just down the street, but I probably wouldn't get a shellac manicure here and request someone else for the brow wax. read more

I took a disabled woman that I work with to this nail salon today to get a manicure. She got a flower design on her nails and the end result was AWFUL. The flowers were smeared. I told them that I didn't feel she should have to pay for the design since we had to leave. They said she still needed to pay the full price but offered to fix it. Needless to say, they didn't do a damn thing to her nails, and when I said something, they told me that was how the flower designs are supposed to look!! Really?! Then I walked out and I could hear them talking about me and/or the situation with their other customers!! So unprofessional!! They were even laughing! Yes, really great. Mess up on a disabled elderly woman's nails and not even have the decency to make up for it. I will NEVER return here again. Terrible customer service. read more

Used to love this place. Keep trying to go back and hope for a better experience. Tonight was my last attempt. Sadly will not go back. Owner did my gel manicure. There was nothing relaxing about it and I had to come home and file my rough edges. Owner was also busy chatting with other employees during my manicure and barely paying attention to what she was doing. My toe nails are uneven length but other than that pedicure was fine. Regular polish colors look old, tired and almost empty. Should be thrown away and start over. Same with gel color swatches - they need to be redone. read more

Good pedicure for the price ($22) but way too long of a wait. Came in at 3pm on a Thursday. I had made an appointment for 2 people but the first person wasn't in the chair until 30 or 45 minites later. There were not anywhere near enough techs for how many customers they had. I also saw blue disinfectants on the shelf in the bathroom yet no tools in it..... But I'm not sure what that was for. So if you have time to wait, sure walk in. This is after a little fixing up I did myself, nail polish all over the place, just a mess. Didn't fully fix it cause you go nails salons to pay for a service since you don't wanna do it right. The lady that did my nails just kind of did her own thing after I told her 4 times I wanted all white nails, color on the ring finger and for the white to be matte, she proceeded to use the white nail to give me white tip, I was thinking.. okay maybe that's just how they do it here, then she proceeds to put a clear coat on the top so tell her a 5th time that I asked for ALL white on the nails with a color on the ring finger. So she paints the white over the clear coat instead of fixing it. also like to add this place is not clean, while my nails were being painted a NAT flew into my nail and got stuck in the nail polish, and she laughed.. that was disgusting and not funny at all, there's no paper towels to dry your hands after washing or an air dryer. I asked for short stiletto and got the oval shape, told her 3 times I wanted stiletto before shaping, after having to repeat myself so many times about what I wanted I really just got fed up and accepted my fate that these nails were going to be terrible and absolutely not what i wanted. This is my regular nail salon. Gel manicures, spa pedicures and waxing services are all top notch. I took my daughter and her cousin in to get their nails done for my daughter's 7th birthday. It was around 6pm so they weren't busy, and all the ladies were just hanging out. They were really sweet, talking to the girls and helping them pick polish colors. They even did flower designs with gems for free "because their nails are so small." I was very pleased by the service, and the price! I will continue to be a loyal customer. read more

I went and got my nails done here because I've heard good things about it. I got there right when it opened and I waited in the parking lot for ten minutes before someone finally opened the door. After they were finished I was waiting for my nails to dry and I noticed ripples in my nails like someone had put shrink wrap as the top coat. Almost every nail had this on it. When i went back to get them redone, they tried to convince me that it was my fault they looked like this. She also made me take off my own nail polish. Not okay. I love New Nails! My sister introduced me to this nail salon about 5 years ago and I haven't gone anywhere else since. I usually only make appointments with one technician named Dari, but that's because I only like one person to work on me as I do the same with hair stylists. I always leave satisfied and they always have the most interesting shows playing when I come in. I also usually bring my 4 year old daughter and they always let me pull up a chair near the station I'm at so she can sit and play on my phone. New Nails is the best!!! read more

Back when I used to get acrylic nails they always did a great job (I don't wear them anymore because I'm a nurse) and I still go there and get my pedicures because they dip your feet in hot wax and it feels amazing lol they're always really sweet too. I have tried this place several times, each time giving it the benefit of the doubt because everyone I know says they are sooooo good, but I have yet to be impressed. I love new nails! Prices are reasonable, the nail techs know what they're doing, and I always leave feeling so much better! It's just a small place in a strip mall, but I drive 30 minutes out of my way past dozens of other shops to go here. I generally try to get in for a pedicure every month or so and I occasionally get a manicure too. The pedicure chairs are pretty great. They use disposable liners in the foot bath so there's not the worry of anything gross leftover from the person before. There are multiple massage options and you can move the seat back and forth and recline if you want. As someone with really long legs, I appreciate the option to give myself more space. The pedicures themselves are awesome! The ladies are great about trimming and shaping the nails and even dig out ingrown toenails- I'd pay the pedi cost for that alone! They scrub off calluses with a few tools, one being a hand mixer with a sander type attachment. I thought that was really weird UNTIL I tried it. It really does work. They scrub your legs, dip your feet in paraffin, and then massage lotion into your feet and legs. They finish with the polish and there's the option of having a design painted on as well. Whatever base and top coat they use is pretty good, my polish stays on for weeks. The only downside is it can get super crowded on weekends, but they do have a few extra seats and a tv so waiting isn't horrible. For a $22 pedicure I don't mind waiting a few minutes though. read more

I usually visit a nail salon on South Hill Puyallup but decided to try some where new that was closer to home. I have been to many different nail salons in Hawai'i (Where I am from), California, and Washington State...this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had! I went on a tuesday afternoon and gave myself about an two hour window before I needed to be at school. I assumed that would give me ample amount of time since I have never needed more than 45 mins to get my nails done...boy was I wrong!!!! The lady who did my nails took FOREVER to put my full set on...she spent about 5 mins PER NAIL and that was just to put the glue on! Once that was done it took her even longer to put on the powder and when she did the powder was so thick that you could see the huge amount on each nail. If that wasn't bad enough, she had made my full set nails so short and uneven. I was very very upset at this point and to make matters worse, when I went to pay, their credit card machine was broken. At this point I had about 5 mins left until I had to leave if I was going to make it to school on time. She called someone who I assumed might be the company for the machine but instead she was talking to someone in Vietnamese (obviously it wasn't anyone from the credit card machine company). She then told me that she would write down all of my card information and I argued that I was not going to give her that. She continued pulling out plug with no avail. Finally I got so upset and fed up that I gave her the numbers to my credit card and made her give me a receipt with her signature on top. After rushing to school I checked my account and it was charged for the amount said. Now I need to be diligent in checking my account to make sure it is not being used. All in all, this was the absolute worse and horrible experience I have ever had. I was not happy at all and the worst part is that I still had to pay for such a horrible job and experience. I would never ever ever recommend any one to ever go here. Lesson learned...I'll never give up going somewhere that I know will do a good job for somewhere closer to home. read more
