Holy moly! This place is AMAZING! It's very easy to dismiss this location because it doesn't look like much from the road. The moment you open the front door it's magical. It's like stepping into a different dimension. The decor is absolutely beautiful. You seat yourself here which is nice. Customer service is above and beyond what is normal these days. The menu is small but that's perfect for us. That means they specialize on a small menu and make things great. Everything was "whoa" worthy. I can't even begin to tell you how every bite was an experience. I ordered a cocktail that I wish would have been a 32oz. This place is a spot you MUST try. Everything is fresh and the experience is like no other. We will be thinking about this meal for days to come.

I'm kicking myself for not taking any pictures of the food, but trust me it's worth it! As soon as you walk into this restaurant, your greeted with an ambience fit for acute date or a catch-up session with friends. We ordered a bunch of items off the menu, including an order of the spicy shrimp and pork dumplings, the cucumber salad, the tofu option, Mongolian, beef, and chicken chow mein as well as two orders of the egg rolls. Everything was so tasty. I can't say one dish was my favorite. The drinks were large, tasty, and came quick. This place is an instant add to my "Seattle Clutch" list!

What a fun tiki bar! First time there and the place is hopping. Great selection of island themed drinks and Chinese food. The vibe was very positive and the bar staff were friendly and attentive.

Chow Mein w/chicken, dry-fried long beans, spicy shrimp and pork dumplings- all so good!

Food is awesome and fast. I don't like shrimp flavor/fishy, but love dumplings and these did not disappoint. The sauce was amazing. The green beans were chef's kiss. Chow mein was good as well. Cocktails are also incredible and served by a very friendly staff. I loved the Jungle Bird and Bartender on Acid. Ambience is on point- 11/10 on New Luck Toy!

One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My go-to order includes the beef and broccoli, honey walnut prawns (something I wouldn't normally order, but now absolutely crave), dumplings (the fresh herbs and the chili sauce are outstanding), and long beans. I also love their egg rolls. The tropical cocktails are a nice balance to the food and are always strong and delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly. The cozy, dim ambiance is perfect. Sometimes the AC is blasting so if you get cold easily like me, I recommend bringing a sweater, even in the summer. My husband and I live across town from this place so it usually takes us between 30-45 mins to get here, but it's always worth the drive. My only complaint? They're not open on Sundays! I always forget and end up craving it just when I can't have it. Otherwise, this place is a gem. Highly recommend.

Good vibes, decorated really well, however, food was a bit of a let down. I ordered the shrimp and pork dumplings and that was probably the best part of the meal yet they were a bit sweet. Noodles need work. Sometimes less is more. Drinks were good. I'd go back for drinks only.

Really cool atmosphere! The lighting sets a very relaxing tone for a date night or any night to enjoy a meal out. The food was amazing and they have fun drinks to pick from. It's seat yourself when you walk in and very prompt service from the staff members.

Same consistent American Chinese food served with yum drinks. Salt and Pepper Prawns were right amount of savory. I recognized my server from pre pandemic. Yeah for same staff!

*fully note that I only came here for drinks, so I can't speak for the food* Came here with my family and had a couple drinks, fun decor and ambiance. I'd like to try the honey walnut shrimp! Ordered a slushy drink which was good and a unique offering

    BBQ pork - must have!

Nope! Can confirm I've eaten here in March 2022!

Their rice bakes are incredible, the beef brisket dishes are consistently tender and flavorful, and their chow fun is hands-down my favorite in the entire city. They nail the Hong Kong-style classics every time, with that nostalgic, home-cooked feel you just don't find often anymore. Right now they're running a borscht soup special, and it tastes exactly like the versions I grew up with -- comforting, rich, and perfectly balanced. If you're craving real Hong Kong comfort food, this is it. Service is quick and friendly enough for a HK place.

Depending on your taste, I like adding white pepper to my fried rice, chow fun, and soup. Wonton soup: the wontons are huge and filled with pork and shrimp. The soup however was kind of sour? Not sure what they added in, but the flavor of the broth was not my favorite. There's so much good wonton soup in the area! I wish this broth was better and more savory. Beef chow fun: pretty tasty and the beef was pretty tender. There was no work hei, so didn't have that distinct flavor Half chicken bone in: this was surprisingly our favorite dish! Steamed chicken with a ginger oil. The ginger made this dish and the chicken was very tender. The chicken comes cold so eat it with some rice and it's the perfect combo

The wontons were good, but the chili sauce was the star. It was numbing and a little minty feeling. It was really great over the fried rice, which didn't stand out to me but was good to pair the dishes with. The crab and pork soup dumplings were sooo tasty, I would definitely get them again. We showed up with half our party since the rest of our group had a hard time looking for parking, but they sat us right away and didn't give us a hard time at all. The decor is cute - darker lighting with spotlight on their cultural elements. Not gonna lie, when a restaurant over emphasizes its Asian decor, usually I have pretty low expectations for the food since it will likely be Americanized. This place proved me wrong! Their menu was a mix of Cantonese dishes, Taiwanese elements, Shanghainese dumplings and noodles, and Szechuan mala flavors. We probably over ordered but seriously enjoyed all the dishes. From most to least favorite: - Ginger & Scallion Fish Fillets: Sooooo fragrant and honey. LOVE! - Typhoon Shelter Beef Short Ribs: The fried garlic seasoning is fantastic, usually seen with crab or seafood but with short ribs it was excellent and super flavorful too - Black Truffle Wagyu Fried Rice: A pretty big portion for the price! The aroma of the truffle was fantastic but not overpowering - Half Hong Kong Style Honey Roast Duck: Hard to find good roast duck in the US so was happy to see it in the menu, skin was crispy and flavorful and the sauce was authentic as well. A tad too salty if I were to be nitpicky which is why it's not higher on the list - Traditional Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings: Good but not standout, not the star of the show compared to places that specialize in dumpings - Stir-Fry Green Beans: A little bland, can skip The Hong Kong Style iced lemon tea is just okay, but it's hard finding one truly authentic around here. Still enjoyed it! For the price point, ambiance, and quality of food, I was blown away and highly recommend!

It took a long time for the food to come out, and when our entrees finally arrived, we weren't given rice. We had to go ask for it so we didn't end up eating everything else first. It felt like they might be understaffed, which didn't help the overall experience. The appetizer platter was a bit disappointing. The honey walnut shrimp didn't really land for our table -- though I will say the crispy coating was interesting and I appreciated that they used actual walnuts. The entrees were better. The chow mein was my favorite -- great smoky wok flavor, well seasoned, and just really satisfying. The seafood clay pot was also solid, with shrimp, fish, and tofu. The beef broccoli was nicely cooked too, especially the broccoli with garlic. Overall, there are some good dishes here, but with how slow the service was, I'm not sure I'd pick this spot again.

We stayed, talking, until the restaurant closed. As my friends packed up and said their goodbyes, the staff noticed me looking around at the different tables. I wanted to find Bruce Lee's favorite table, which I had seen on online reviews of Tai Tung. The staff member very proudly brought us all into the next room, turned on the lights, showed us the photos on the wall, and told us about the history. We got a history and culture lesson with our meal. Best of all, our friends all congratulated me on the "great find!" of a restaurant, and isn't that the kind of validation every Yelper wants?
