I contacted Armando to get a roof inspection because I had concerns about the work done by another roofer. He seemed very honest and knowledgeable on the phone. Until he asked who did the original work. And I told him. He said he knew that company well. I hoped he could remain neutral. But he didn't. He came to the house, looked in the attic and asked me questions about plumbing and water pressure (he said he himself had discovered he had over 100 psi at his house, so that's what was on his mind.) BUT HE NEVER WENT ON THE ROOF. Can you imagine? A roof inspection but the roofer doesn't get on the roof at all??? If he didn't want to see what his friend did wrong and be put in an uncomfortable position he should have cancelled the appointment. I am also not a fan of being given a 4-hour window for time of arrival with no update or text while on the way. I had to cancel everything I had on my schedule that morning to accommodate the vague 8 am to noon arrival time. That was a huge waste of time, all for nothing. The good news is that I got 2 other inspections and I'm waiting to get the official reports. The initial roofer did a lot of things wrong. And now I have proof. But not thanks to Armando. read more

New Era Roofing (NER) did a great job reroofing our home. They were very responsive when we had an active leak during a big rainstorm. They placed a tarp on the roof until we could arrange roof repairs. After several quotes and reading reviews we chose NER to repair our whole roof. They were very punctual to start and end each day, but when needed they also worked late to finish their daily tasks. They cleaned up all around the house at the end of each day and were very polite and conscientious about their work. The first day they introduced themselves and gave me a chance to move my vehicle out of the garage because they would be blocking it during their work. It was only blocked during their work day and removed at the end of the day for our easy access. They were very conscientious about their work safety and owner's safety. Our roof had leaked several times and in several places, and after 30 years it was time for a new roof. NER did a great job replacing bad wood, replacing the underlay, relaying our existing tiles, and power washing the tiles. Our roof looks great, like new! They painted the house trim where the new tiles didn't line up with the original install and unpainted wood was visible. And for a small fee they also painted a window sill and shutters! When they estimated the re-roofing, they told me that it only had one layer and that the sheathing was sound, so the second could be installed directly over it. This saved us the expense of having the old roof removed and hauled off. I've had re-roofing done before on other houses and know this is a good way to get a good water resistant roof as it now has 2 layers. Since I had asked for a tear off and re-roof, they could easily have sold me that service, but honesty and concern for my expense got them the job. They took care of all permits, HOA compliance and the City inspection and sign-off. The material arrived exactly on schedule and the installation was fast and proficient. I have a tile roof on my house and it is my understanding tile roofs can last many many years, what I didn't know was they do require maintenance. I was on a ladder one day and spotted some broken tiles. It was getting on rainy season so I was looking around for a good roofer. I called them and the owner came out quickly, he actually came out before I even knew it to look at my roof and the type of tiles I had so he could go on the hunt for the right ones. Even though my roofing tiles were discontinued he found new ones where a manufacturer picked up the molds I guess that fit and we're a close match, he came out and replaced the broken tiles, re-seated a bunch of other tiles that slipped over the years around my chimney and other areas. He was affordable and responsive. I called him out this last rainy season he came out inspected my roof and he didn't see anything that needed attention, he wasn't going to charge me. I gave him some money because it's still his time and fuel and thanked him for his honesty. I couldn't recommend this roofing company more highly!
