Beef Lo Mein

This is my new favorite Chinese spot! I walked in today and ordered to go out of the blue. I was greeted promptly and politely! It was very clean and organized. My food came out fast and fresh probably in 10 minutes! When I got home I was surprised how much food I was given! A huge amount! Probably enough for two people! I love it. The food was delicious! And cooked perfectly! Can't wait to go back! :)

8/24/24: running an errand in this part of town and got hungry. Since I had a craving for crab puffs, we found New Asian Kitchen. Plenty of parking, service was polite and quick, a delicious drink place a couple doors down, and easy access to the freeway. Their bathroom was a little sketchy, though. I felt like I was walking down a short, unsafe alley in Brooklyn. New Asian Kitchen was good, but despite the odd flavor in my sesame beef dish, everything else was delicious: crab puffs (we even ordered a second dish to take home!), egg drop soup, and the mushroom chicken. The sesame beef was not horrible but there was an odd taste I could not identify at first. I only had a few bites anyway because we scarfed down the crab puffs and practically licked out the bowl of the soup. LOL! My sister's mushroom chicken was way better tasting than my beef dish, nothing odd with hers. When I tried to eat my leftover sesame beef later for dinner, I concluded the odd flavor taste was fish. I do not like seafood at all. My sister's sense of smell sucks and she was unwilling to try a bite, but I am positive the odd taste was from fish. I can only think it was there because they cooked the beef in the same pan as fish...? New Asian is not in our neighborhood so not sure we would stop in again. If it's more local to you, though, I would give it a go -- just beware the sesame beef. Unless you like fish flavors, then go for it.

My husband and I came here for lunch and we were very satisfied! The restaurant was quiet and peaceful so we got to enjoy a nice conversation during our meal. We got service right away and our food came out very quick. Our meals were both delicious!

This is a great old style family run Asian Kitchen. Everything the three of us tried was very good and tasty. Some similarities between certain items, like Orange and Sesame Chicken. But otherwise, the sauces were very good. We would recommend the shredded Mongolian Beef and Onions, along with the above chicken dishes, Dumplings, Egg Drop Soup, Fried Rice and Lo Mein. Our bill came to $56.13 including taxes, but not gratuities. Enjoy!

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. I also want to try their happy hour that's available everyday from 4-7PM. All the food items are only $7 and variety looks amazing.

I ordered the seafood jjam-pong and Genghis-khan beef. The jjam-pong was not oily like at other restaurants which I appreciated. It was very flavorful and clean tasting. The beef was delicious and savory. I couldn't finish it all and had leftovers. I would definitely go back and try many other dishes. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is amazing. Our food came out in record time, but was still hot and tasted of high quality! I recommend coming during their lunch times, I came on a Sunday and they still offered their lunch menu. The lunch menu plates are huge! They come with your entree, soup, chow mein, rice, a crab ragoon, and an egg roll. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and it was delicious. It had a slight kick, bit it wasn't too spicy. The shrimp was cooker perfectly, mot rubbery. My favorite was the egg drop soup, it had tofu in it and it was addictive. I definitely recommend checking George and Sons out!

To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

It's a small plate type of restaurant and we tried 5 different ones: 1-egg noodles with pork belly...delicious!!! The pork belly pieces were so tender and the noodles were perfect. 2-fried bamboo with sweet chili sauce...amazing! I would love to have a bag of these and just eat them like chips while watching TV...LOL! 3-stir-fry bok choy with tofu in a garlicky sauce...one of our biggest surprises of the evening! What a wonderful way to eat your greens, along with the most flavorful tofu I've ever had. (We actually ordered it twice.) 4-scallop crudo with garlic and lemon sauce...refreshing! I'm not a big scallop person, but these were so fresh and so good! 5-fried chicken with a sweet/savory dipping sauce...very good! The chicken came like wings, very crispy and juicy. Everything we had was incredible! Unfortunately, I'm allergic to curry and mango, so our choices were somewhat limited. I'm just glad we were able to find these dishes that were so awesome. The only downside is the parking. It's street parking, but there are a bunch of apartments all around, so the spots were very limited. There are some pay parking lots, but they're pretty far from the restaurant. Hubby drove around and did find a spot about a block and a half down a side street. But, to be honest, it was a nice little walk back to the car after eating. What a fun time and a delectable experience!!
