Avoid this company! 1 star for actually removing the wasp nests and the friendliness of the service tech James. But once you pay (too high a price) they won't respond to calls to come back. They had to remove a piece of gutter to get to the nest and they did not replace the gutter cover that we had. It is nowhere to be seen and they do not respond to calls or texts. I have zero confidence that they will come back for their "one year guarantee" of no wasps and I just found another wasp in the house. It's been a month since they were here. James called me right away when I submitted my service request online and it was later Wednesday night. We set up an appointment for Friday between 10am-1pm and the service people never showed up. I know they had my address because after james and I spoke Wednesday, he said he'd send me a text me as soon as we hung up to confirm my address and information. I didn't get that text from him at first, so after 30 mins of waiting I tried calling him back (he didn't pick up though) and so again submitted another online request, and then he called me back. He then sent me the confirm text. Then Friday, the guys hadn't shown up. So I called James to see where the service guys were when they hadn't arrived (the main customer service number wouldn't pick up, the chat function didn't work, and I submitted an email request but didn't hear back). After about 10 mins, James connected me with Malik after james couldn't confirm if I was on the schedule. Malik said I was on the schedule and I asked him if he'd have his service people call me to tell me when they'd arrive. They never called. They never came. I purposely didn't go to my office today so that I could be home for the service people. I ended up booking with American pest for tomorrow. No more wasting my time on Nest. When I used them once in the past in DuPont, they didn't arrive within the 3 hour time window then either. Save your time and go with more professional company. Oh and now editing my review because it gets worse, I just got a bill from Nest for being a "no show" when the dude showed up hours later without ever even calling to say he'd be late! read more

I had this company come out in July to spray for wasps in our backyard. They came out, sprayed, and said to let them know if it helped and that they would come back if it didn't work (the wasps were in our fence so it was not clear whether the treatment would be effective). The wasps were back a few days later so I followed up immediately and over the next couple of months by email and phone to have them come back. They never responded to the emails and the phone number wouldn't allow me to leave a voicemail. It was a total scam - steer clear of this company. read more

This isn't simply a poor service or bad workmanship type review. This place may actually be running a scam operation, so be aware before handing them your money. Over six (!) months ago I hired them to close off exterior access points to my home (dryer ducts, etc). They sent a guy that was unable to complete the job but promised to come back to finish it and proceeded to collect the entire charge for the work. Over the next six months they claimed they would finish the work on eight different occasions. Every single time there ended up being an excuse as to why the job couldn't be completed, including: We brought the wrong part (3 times) We brought a ladder that was too short We need two guys for this job Our truck broke down Our technician called in sick (apparently at the end of the day) And so on. In the most recent attempt to get them to do their job, they've stopped even bothering to come up with an excuse, they just didn't show up after confirming the appointment. What it appears is that they collect the money and run, and then make excuses as to why they can't do what they were hired to do. If your plan is to pay a company money to render a service, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. By the way, on their original visit, they left jagged pieces of wire mesh littered all over the ground (even though my trash can was 10 ft away), which ended up puncturing my hand while gardening.  They also managed to trample over an entire row of newly planted flowers.  So not only do they fail at doing their job, they lay waste to your property while they're at it. read more

I called just to see if i had any unwanted roommates or any signs of them before I moved into my new place. I didn't have any pest THANK GOD!!! Easy to schedule .... didn't seem expensive compared to others and he even came back a week later to see if anyone decided to eat the poison ! Came out and put down a $50 trap, shoved a bunch of fruit in it and put it over a ground hog hole, said they'd be back in 3 days to change out fruit every 3 days until it was caught, charged us $400. Currently 7 days later, we have rotting fruit and ants next to our house, never came back, most of the time the phone is busy off the hook, rest of the time they say they're busy and call back later. Basically paid someone $400 to drive to our house and put down a trap they bought for $50 bucks.  Crazy scam. Avoid at all cost. UPDATE: after 2-3 weeks of calling and hitting voicemail or 'out of office right now' money was fully refunded. No attempt at excuses, apologies or explanation as to why no one ever showed up for their $350 'service' of dropping a trap and walking away. It's early in the process so I'll hang in a bit longer, buuuut, I called yesterday for help with a squirrel in the walls of a condo I rent in NW DC. James said he would text me and ask for all my information. I provided billing address and service location address clearly spelling out the difference in the text. James, who said he would be at the property the next day, did not come and sent someone else... no problem, but dude was sent to the billing address, not the service address. Then the guy calls to say he needs to get in the top apartment to get on the roof to set a trap. Within 3 minutes I respond to tell him he just needs to walk up the fire escape, there is no access from the top apartment. Dude doesn't answer for about a half hour then texts me, "we'll be back tomorrow..." so I ask, "what time so I can let the tenants know....?" 8 hours later and I'm still awaiting his response. Musta wanted to start his weekend more than help me. so far, pretty pathetic service. Will update this post positively or negatively after tomorrow... welp, don't need to wait. I simply asked again for a time they were coming back to the condo and the response... "I don't work 24 hours..." these guys are pathetic... avoid them! read more

I don't know how much animal removal services are supposed to be, so I can't speak to the value. I can say that they removed one dead and one live raccoon from my property and I will be calling them whenever we need service. They are prompt, efficient, and responsive. read more

Please do not waste your money with this company. I hired this company to help with nice that appeared in my kitchen after construction started on my block. When the first technician Eric came- he did an "evaluation" of my home and told me there were some holes that needed patching. After paying a contractor to come out and patch them, I was still seeing mice. When Nest returned, they told me they "found new holes" aka they didn't do a complete evaluation of my home. All they did was leave two coffee filters of sunflower seeds and "poison" behind my stove and put steel wool in one corner near a door. No traps or anything. When they come to my home- they're in and out in 10 minutes (my home is 4 stories and over 1500 sq ft) and don't even look in all the rooms. The only dead mice I've found have been on traps that I WENT OUT TO BUY AFTER PAYING AN EXTERMINATOR! I've now paid a contractor on 3 different occasions to come to my home to patch holes because of this companies lazy and inefficient business tactics not to mention the $345 Nest charged me for 2 coffee filters of sunflower seeds and nothing else. Now they're dodging my phone calls & have a full voicemail- what kind of business doesn't even check their voicemail?! I try to support local black businesses and this one puts shame to the rest of the hardworking people who actually provide the services they charge for. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau. Go with a reputable company and save yourself the trouble. read more

We enlisted the help of this company to rid our apartment of mice. A man came and checked out our apartment for holes behind appliances and other areas the mice may have been getting inside. For the consult, we were charged $45. He took pictures during that visit and asked when he could come back with a dry wall person and poison. We followed up with him the day before our scheduled next appointment and he did not answer. The day of the appointment my partner called him to confirm he was still coming. We were instructed to call him and when my partner did, the man said that he 'didn't remember' coming to our place. He explained that he had no pictures and that he would have to come back to do the consultation again. My partner sent him one of the pictures he took during his first visit and this man said he still had no recollection of his visit. With this poor of service, we opted to go with another company and I would recommend anyone reading this do the exact same thing. Avoid this company unless you want to be scammed for $45. Where do I begin?...I am eternally grateful for the job that James, Andre, and Mike did at my home. I HIGHLY recommend them for pest control, specifically mice. I previously used another company and was dissatisfied with their thoroughness. I called James on a Saturday evening and he immediately gave me a sense of comfort. He sent out his technicians--Andre and Mike. They came and did a full inspection and treated the entire house!! They were really friendly and knowledgeable. Not satisfied at all. Wish i could give no stars. Charged me $200 for nothing. 2 coffee filters with some seeds, chocolate and poison. Kept telling me what he wouldn't do even though those were the areas if interest. I ended up sealing up problem areas myself. No mice were caught and the problem worsened after i identified the problem areas was told to keep them opened which allowed more mice come in and left more droppings and urine everywhere. Missed appointments and didn't call to notify me. Waste of time. Lots of talking about nothing and constantly taking phone calls during my appointment. Had no equipment for sealing or knee pads. I did most of the work. Will never use this company again. I advise you don't as well. read more

Wish I could actually give a review of their services but after explaining my emergency situation of a dead rodent and maggots falling from my vent they put me on the books for first thing in the morning which was postponed two times over the course of two days. this prevented me from calling and seeking another service to come quicker because I kept thinking they were coming. We thought we may have termites so we called Nest Pest Control. It took a few tries for someone to answer the phone, but once James did, he responded promptly and came out two days later. (and I saw why it took so long to answer - his phone was ringing nonstop and he answers it himself!) We were so happy with their work. He diagnosed the problem (not termites!) and fixed it, in addition to addressing another pest issue we discovered that morning. He gave warning before coming out, showed up as promised, and was very reasonably priced. We won't hesitate to use them again in the future. read more

By far the worst pest control experience i've ever had in my life. Terrible, absolutely horrible. After not seeing them from December 6th 2019 to January 7th 2020 I finally called them to check up as to why they have not been present. I was told by James that I got lost in the system. Ironic. Andre then came back on January 8th 2020 laid a trap, then back again three days later and sealed up one of the entry points trapping a squirrel or squirrels in my attic. Speaking to me first before making a major step like this would have been the professional thing to do. There is also more than one entry point that the squirrels are using to get into my attic. I have since tried to get my money back from them to go to a better and more reliable service. They refused because one squirrel was caught by them a month and a half ago. Never mind the lack of their presence for over a month and the overall horrific and lackadaisical work they do. Still trying to see if they can actually complete the work or not since my money is now trapped within Nest DC mediocrity. read more
