I have had amazing results once Pest Now started to send the same technician to our residence. Billy is very knowledgeable, he sees & issue & give options to handle the issue that are reasonable. Billy works so hard on taking care of pest issues you would think it was his house how he cares for the issues & resolves them. Has a great memory, service provided by him is top notch & I don't think our pest issues would be solved if it wasn't for Billy. The cost of the pest plan is very affordable. Whatever pest service is needed & requested has been provided without issues. PestNow was recently taken over by another company. Ever since then, the service has gone down hill. You have to wait 30 minutes on hold before you can speak with somebody, nobody knows how the new system works so they cannot change proposals, they change appt dates without warning you, they don't come at the agreed upon time, they no longer have Saturday service, and the employees I talked to said there has been many long time staff who have left and the remaining staff have very low morale. On top of all of those downgrades in service they have raised their prices!! read more

We've used Pest Now for probably 10 years or more. Never outstanding service but decent enough. Recently they changed management and now their customer service is horrendous! Although our account was in auto pay and they had my credit card on file, a "glitch" in their system didn't charge my credit card and my "past due" payment was sent to collections. I tried calling them, but you just sit on hold for 10 minutes, then get transferred to voicemail. I finally got a hold of someone last week, who assured me it was a glitch that had been rectified. But, no, this week I received another email from collections. I obviously want to cancel our service with them, but how do you do that when they don't answer the phone? If I could give negative stars I would. read more

I was a customer for quite some time. I was experiencing problems with squirrels and birds in my attic. The technician recommended Tap insulation, which is quite costly. I had the insulation installed, but continued to have problems. PestNow was supposed to cover the entry points, but had to come back multiple times before getting it right. There was one section where the technician left a gap in one of the entry points they supposedly sealed. I complained about it several times, but to no avail. Well, the squirrels chipped away at the metal, the siding surrounding the metal, and the under board (I can't remember the name). PestNow's response was that my warranty had expired, although I made them aware of the problem from the beginning while it was still under warranty. I am so upset with the service I received. I learned that they should have put a trap down, and moved the squirrels trapped at least 10 miles away. That never happened. They also should have removed all the insulation and then treated the area, which they didn't. Needless to say, I ended my years-long relationship with PestNow. I spent thousands of dollars on the Tap insulation project, and I now have to do it all over again with no consideration from PestNow. read more

they have sprayed for bed bugs 2 times already and trying for a third time, we are still seeing them and getting bit. Pest now will schedule a treatmet and then not show up for it, it has happened 3 times so far. on the third no show, I had called in that morning to verify that I was on the schedule still, it was scheduled for an 8-12 time frame. I called to see where the exterminator was at 12:15pm and they tried to tell me that it was never scheduled for today, and it was scheduled for 2 days later. I have already waited over a week for this appointment and took the day off from work for it. they also have had the same "we are experiencing longer than usual wait times for a system upgrade " message for at least 3 months really hard to get them on the phone. I had originally asked for a heat treatment for the bed bugs and was told on the phone that they did and that it would be $800 and that it was the most expensive treatment. when the person came to do the inspectio, they told me they do not do heat treatment and they tried to charge $1,350. When I told them what the dispatcher said they did lower the cost down to the $800 with no issue, but either the dispatcher didn't know the pricing and policies or the inspector tried to scam extra money out of me, not sure but either option screams unprofessional practices. Update, the Branch manager is coming by tomorrow to spray my house personally and then a week after that. I am praying for a more positive outcome. Will post updates as we progres. Update. The branch manager did no come out himself, but he did send his top guy for the third spraying and another one of his top guys for the 4th spraying. Both seemed highly professional and showed up in a timely manner. We are hoping the bugs are gone. read more

I've been using PestNow for several years. We called them because we had a bad tick problem in our back yard. We also had an issue with mosquitos because we have a large wooded lot and a pool. We have honesty not seen one tick or mosquito in our back yard since the treatments began. I am honestly shocked it has worked that well. It is well worth the monthly fee and we are allowed to pause for any months we don't feel we need the treatment. I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

My building started a contract with PestNow after our Orkin exterminator was apparently caught going through one of our resident's drawers. Unfortunately PestNow pales in comparison from an extermination stand point. They are unreliable and do not seem knowledgeable of basic pests. Since we have hired them, we have seen a huge uptick in pests in the last 3 months. I have personally supervised their treatments and can tell you that they are definitely either not providing knowledge transfer to their employees or their management/leadership does not have the knowledge themselves. Had the company for six months. Supposedly my house had no holes for outside entry of rodents and etc. However, the rodents had to of gain entry somehow. Completely unprofessional. Just about every tech I have had is trying to just go, literally. Disreseptful, rude, and non experienced techs. Supposedly they call before they arrive and they never do! They lie about it straight to your face. Guess what, hired another company and they sealed up 10 holes on the outside of my renovated home! This was just 2 days after the pest now visit. Don't waste your money! I pay just $40 more a year for better knowledgeable techs who are respectful and they actually seal up holes! Pest now won't give me my $89 back. DO NOT waste your money! A technician came to my house after I booked my first appointment with Pest Now, and he stood in my doorway and demanded that I "shut the dog up". He refused to even come inside unless I did so. He gave no explanation as to why, and I assumed he was uncomfortable around dogs. Given that pest control companies usually need access to all interior portions of a home in order to properly service it, I had no place to "shut the dog up", and I wasn't keen on having only part of my house treated. I told him this, and he still refused to come inside, still giving no explanation. He left without servicing the house. Pest Now responded to a review I left on Google, stating that they ask that domestic animals be confined to a space until the treatment has dried, then switch out the animal to a different space so service in the original space can be performed. While this seems to be a reasonable policy, no one communicated this to me. The technician did not say anything about this, which if he had, we could have most likely figured this out. But not communicating this, on top of making demands of me from my front porch, is rather unprofessional. I will be seeking pest control services from another company. read more

I give this service 4 star because most of the technicians that came to our property are courteous, respectful and professional (we had Benado today for a service visit and Roman for quarterly visit. Both of them were great). They do need to improve their call center service multiple times when we told the reps on the phone that no one will be on the main floor they did not convey the message to their field techs. read more

Incompetent, using cheap products, cutting the corners, and terrible, condescending customer service... I got this company through warranty passed by the previous owner, as they did the termite inspection for the sale of the house. The house had termites inside, but they did not check it properly and put reported only "outside" on the inspection report. They also used cheap solution (chemical) for the treatment, which did not destroy the termites that they found "outside". So, 3 months after moving in, during the 1st swarming season we saw termites all over the place. They came back and this time they had to look inside the property (because I insisted) and then they started arguing about missing it the first time they inspected. Finally they agreed that their warranty covers the treatment. When asked about the treatment, they said that they will use the same cheap chemical that they used last time or I have to pay extra. To get proper chemical that respected companies use I had to pay extra "$700. So, effectively their warranty was useless. I had to go with a different company (Ward Pest Management), that for the same amount did the new treatment and provided real warranty. They took care of the termites and were amazing. Glad that I do not have to deal with Pest Now at all. read more

Well after 10 years of intermittent service with PestNow (termite service, occasional semi annual bug service, outdoor bait stations) I am on a search for a new pest control company. Not sure if they changed ownership within the last 3 years but I have seen a marked difference in customer service. (Schedulers not as helpful, technicians not as thorough as they were previously). Today, the young lady that answers the phone to schedule service had a horrible and impatient attitude, as if I'm responsible for her life frustration. Hired PestNow to deal with a mouse problem at our Capitol Hill townhome. The problem is much worse now then before they came. I repeat...the very issue I hired and paid them to treat is much worse now then it was before I hired them. They have absolutely no special skills or expertise, they literally just put copper mesh in a few places and leave bait out. We now have a full blown infestation. In addition, they frequently did not show up for appointments or call me back when they said they would. When they did actually come, they would do nothing and say they would have a manager contact me. The managers never actually contacted me, I had to call and annoy the company to get in touch with them. When the managers came, they also did nothing. Absolute waste of money. Horrible service. You'd be better off trying to deal with a mouse issue on your own. read more

Pest Now is a very quick and reliable acting company. So far Winston has come out to our house a couple times and he is very patient, skilled and explains in clear detail of what's going on. This is my 3rd update, which is 2.5 months after the 2nd, and 4.5 months after the 3rd. A week ago, PestNow COO and Corporate Director Rusty Markland (registered on Yelp as Frank B., a founding owner) checked to see whether the Clinton MD office had followed up from my last contact. They hadn't, and when he learned of that, he immediately took responsibility, scheduled a termite treatment, and mobilized a team. The team arrived as scheduled, treated the crawlspace, porch, soil, and non-soil areas under and around the house, and provided me with a report of the work. Randy also offered to pay my termite warranty with PestNow for a period of 5 years in an effort to regain my trust and confidence. These days, this type of service is simply unparalleled. I'm grateful that Randy is in a leadership position, and hope that more organizations can turn to his good example of follow-through, identifying an issue, and taking responsibility and initiative to resolve it. This attitude has restored more than just my trust and confidence in the PestNow organization; it has reminded me that successful businesses understand that their success grows from human interactions, not merely financial ones. I can understand how some owners may consider Yelp reviews to be a risk and burden to their business operations. I was very pleased with the services of PestNow. Though we had an infestation of drainage gnats that persisted for several weeks, PestNow stayed with us until all the gnats were gone. For about 5 weeks we had several of their service men to come by . Though the servicemen work was adequate, when the supervisor came, he made huge a difference. I would highly recommend this company. I had their services for pest and rodents at 2 of my properties. Several months later rodents and pest are still present in my homes. I don't want to take all the credit away from them, they did come out when I'd tell them I saw activity. However, I'm not sure what all their treatment consists of but it is evident that it was not working, especially for the mice. read more
