Eggs benedict with home fries
Richard P.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. There are several signs posted so that people know they are cash only. I had heard good things about the cinnamon swirl pancakes, so that is what I ordered. I was not disappointed! I had the large stack which was three pancakes and I brought some home. They were delicious. My wife ordered eggs benedict which came with home fries. This is a relatively small place, and they insist that all in your party must be present before you are seated. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable and I'm sure we will be back again soon.

WOW! Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday after helping my daughter and her husband moved to North Tonawanda from Cleveland. Yvonne, our server was the nicest person you could ask for. I had the omelet special in the photo. Make sure you select the homemade Italian bread from Di Camillo bakery. Coffee mugs are meant for giants-just what we needed, and the coffee was delicious. Everybody was happy with their selections. The place was clean and neat, and simple. No complaints. Would highly recommend this place. We will be back next time we visit the kids. ;)

Do your tastebuds a favor and have breakfast here. The service was fast and friendly! The food was so flavorful and great portions. We got there when tables were available and had no wait but there is limited space inside so by the time we left there were patrons lined up outside. I'd definitely return if ever in the area again.

Solid breakfast offerings at reasonable prices. Service was quick and staff were friendly and courteous. Definitely feel the homey vibe of the place as many of the customers were regulars and the staff chatted with them by name. I had the Nelson special ($7.99) which came with pancakes, eggs, sasauge (or bacon), and home fries. Everything came out hot and fresh and the whole meal was delish.

A little hidden jem in Niagara Falls. Nelson's has good food, nice service and everything is a decent price too. I ordered 2 over easy eggs any style with sausage and fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked and tasted great! My friend got the eggs Benedict and he loved it too. Will come back again!

Nelson's Breakfast Special- 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausages & hash browns.

Great food, good service, excellent prices. The only thing bad that I can say about them is that they aren"t open 24 hours!

There were still tables available inside, so don't let a full parking lot scare you away. Do not skip the fried green tomato appetizer- to die for! I ordered the Sunday prime rib special with a loaded baked potato and asparagus, and it was absolutely to die for. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and such a great portion. My husband had the chicken risotto and loved every bite. We heard regulars talking about how amazing the desserts are. We were too full this time but next time I'm excited to try the bread pudding! The bartender/manager was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. The whole place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Open for lunch and dinner, menu has a nice variety. We both selected the home made IroNTon Burger, half pound patty on a brioche roll with bacon jam, garlic aioli, arugula, brie & fried shallots. Served with crispy fries, this meal was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. The owner visits his customers, checking that everything is alright, treating customers as if they were his family. The establishment is quite charming. Recently remodeled, it does have the original bar. Old time NT memorabilia can be found within. Plenty of parking, too. If you want to dine in a lovely restaurant with excellent service and home cooked food, the IroNTon is the place to be. Happy dining. Happy Holidays.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.

Sides: Mac and Cheese very good. Creamy and also with a nice kick. Sweet potato fries perfect. The honey dipping sauce very tasty. Tried the "sweet corn pudding". Interesting. Cornbread stuffing and corn. Might make for Thanksgiving. Cornbread a bit too smooth, more cakey than coarse. Wife had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and Honey Poppyseed Coleslaw. The sandwich was huge. It looked great. She enjoyed it. They were fairly busy for a Tuesday, hoping that's a good sign.

And the place is not bad by any means... clearly from the reviews people cherish this place. We walked in at about 1130am on Sunday and it was packed. The door opens right into a table for one person, and from there, there is a counter (typical for diners), and the three other sides are bordered with booths. The entire middle is packed with tables and chairs. It's really, really tight in here. The ambience is nice, with photos and paintings of old cars, old planes... We waited a little while to be seated in a corner booth, which was nice. My daughter liked her pancakes, my wife really liked her eggs. The eggs and bacon were perfectly done, IMO. We got apple juice and orange juice, which were little bottles of Apple & Eve. I asked for the sandwich "Roast Beef and Gravy." When it arrived... I thought it was something covered with mole, but then realized it was my sandwich completely covered with gravy, and I wouldn't be able to eat it as a sandwich. Usually, when a sandwich like this is served smothered in gravy (and therefore needs to be eaten with a knife and fork), it is called "Hot Open Roast Beef Sandwich." In this case, the sandwich was served closed, so I would say "Roast Beef Sandwich smothered in Beef Gravy" on the menu. It would really help someone know what to expect. I really wanted to grab a sandwich with my hand and dip it into gravy. Knowing what kind of gravy it was would have been helpful, too. But I was disappointed that the roast beef itself was not hot. It wasn't cold, just kind of cool. Even the gravy was cool. It was strange. I ate the roast beef and left the bread for the most part. I would not recommend this dish unless they change it a bit. My wife left over her hash brown potatoes since they were kind of hard / chewy. All in all, and decent place for locals who can deal with a really tight space. It's fairly priced, for sure.
