Nella Terra Cellars is definitely a hidden gem. Booking Nella Terra was one of the best decisions during the wedding process. We loved everything thing about it, from the grounds, wines, staff, and preferred vendors. All the details were handled seamlessly. We can't thank you all (Whitney from NT, Torrey from On the Vine, and of course Katie and Lindsay from Simply Lovely Events for spending the entire day with us) for making our day so special and memorable!!! read more

Our wedding at Nella Terra was everything we could've asked for! The team ensured that the day was seamless and that we were happy. You are locked into one caterer and coordinator, but the food was great. The gardens and winery are the ideal backdrop for guests and photos. We highly recommend this venue to other couples! read more

Nella Terra Cellars did a superb job hosting our wedding. They were very organized and accomodating and attentive. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very professional and communicative. I highly recommend visiting this venue, whether it's for a simple wine tasting or to host a wedding. read more

First of all, this venue is beautiful. There were obvious care and attention put into the layout of the complex as well as the decorating of the space. I was immediately captivated by the beauty of the area and the people I interacted with were very nice. This place is at the top of the list in terms of beautiful venues But, here's why I wouldn't have a wedding here. * Disorganization - I called to arrange a visit and was greeted by a friendly voice who said she'd check with the coordinator and call back. A few days go by and no call. I call back the venue and the response I received was she couldn't read her own handwriting so she never called me back. I guess she never thought to check the email I sent her. The tour guide was surprised they never even wrote down my information. It also took them 6 days to get back to me after the tour because the email was "stuck in the drafts folder." * Rescheduling tour for misleading reason - I was asked if my tour could be rescheduled a half hour earlier because of an event at the venue. I said that's fine. When I arrived there were two other couples waiting around for the same tour. Apparently, we're on a group tour. This was a first for me. I'd think when you want to drop at least $10K they'd have the courtesy to give you a private tour like every other venue I visited. Nope. Oh, and 10:30A rolled around, no event was happening. In reality, I was asked to have a different tour time so I could be part of the group tour. * Inexperience - It's pretty obvious they're new to the game. I think they'd only been doing weddings for a year is what the tour guide mentioned. Heck, their website doesn't even have a section for weddings. I would consider this a mom and pop type operation. Also, the tour guide didn't seem to know how to address half of the questions asked. * Layout - Although a 50+ step staircase looks elegant, I couldn't imagine doing it in heels. That would be a long, painful fall. I can't hold that against them. I can be a klutz. I believe the guide offered that flats would be best. Also, they don't have any indoor plumbing near the wedding site, so everything is in white trailers. It takes away from the beauty of the manicured landscape. * Portapotties - I couldn't imagine my guests using portapotties at my wedding venue. Granted, the white trailer says they are luxury portapotties, which they are, but they still smell like portapotties. I recommend they build a bathroom. This glamping portapotties would be my ideal portapotty if I had to use one, but NOT for a wedding. * The grounds - You'll be walking around in dirt with gravel. It made my car a mess. It'll make any dress, shoes and pants' bottoms a mess. I'd recommend paving the roads * False advertising - The website shows a barn. A beautiful barn. A barn where you could have your reception. This barn does not exist. It will exist one day. They do not know when this day will come. * Dog running around - The dog ran around with the group on the whole tour. The dog was very sweet. I have some guests allergic to dogs and some unrealistically afraid of dogs. I love dogs, but I wouldn't want a dog running around my wedding. Maybe the dog stays inside during the wedding, though. I don't know. * The groomsmen wait area - They're in a garage. See below for more information about the garage. I thought maybe this place would be better for a vineyard party. But, here's why I wouldn't have a vineyard party here. * Small Tasting Room in a Garage - The tasting room is LITERALLY in a garage near the owner's home. It has a garage door. It's decorated and painted so it doesn't look like a garage, but it's still a garage and holds maybe 5 comfortably, at most. * New vineyard - They've only been growing vines for 3 years. The free wine they offered us after the tour was from Santa Barbara. In summary, this place would look lovely for Pinterest boards, but that's about it for me. It does have lots of potential, so I hope they improve a few things as mentioned above, to be more competitive. read more

My husband and I got married about a year ago at Nella Terra, and we continue to be in awe at the BEAUTY, UNIQUENESS, KINDNESS OF STAFF, and of course all the magical moments we had while celebrating our marriage that Nella Terra helped make possible. When my husband and I started our wedding venue shopping, we were looking for a venue that represented California, had the capacity of being able to accommodate our large wedding party/guests, and full of natural beauty. We quickly learned that Nella Terra hit all these points for us, and so many more. First off, Nella Terra is an absolute diamond of a wedding venue and offers the whole package. It is truly a hidden gem, nestled in the rolling golden CA hills (which was a must have on my husband's list). The grounds are absolutely stunning, and truly picturesque, there are so many beautiful photography spots. We loved how the ceremony site was only a few steps away from the reception area, and the gazebo for cocktail hour is a great place for all your guests to enjoy a glass of wine or beer before the reception starts! As the bride, one of my favorite things about Nella Terra is the grand cascading staircase. It makes for the perfect entrance to the beginning of such a breathtaking and magical wedding day. I continue to cherish that moment walking down the staircase, taking the whole venue in and seeing all our wedding plans come to life. A few other items that we would like to mention: The benefit of having the option for "indoor" and outdoor. Having the large tent for the reception could be used for the ceremony if weather doesn't cooperate. Even though the venue is quite large, having a smaller more intimate wedding, particularly during social distancing times would be absolutely beautiful and would still be able to provide you with the same beautiful and magical wedding day experience that you are dreaming of. There is TONS of parking for all your guests. The bridal cottage is so cute, and a fun place for the bride and all her gals to hangout in before the big moment! The Catering company that Nella Terra uses is stellar! Loved working with On the Vine catering. From the moment of signing our wedding contract with Nella Terra, to the tasting and then having our menu come to life on our wedding day was flawless! We had so many complements from our guests! We really liked that you could do a dual entrée, so guests could have a plated dinner and receive both salmon and steak. We liked that the decision for a catering company was already decided for us, takes the headache out of researching and booking a company. We thoroughly loved the food and would highly recommend! We cannot say enough about the Nella Terra Staff; very professional, responsive, and accommodating to certain questions and requests my husband and I had. We loved that Nella Terra made us feel like family and there were so many personal touches that made us feel special. Thank you to Whitney, Kendall, and Sharde for all their hard work that helped make our day super special and flawless and all other Nella Terra staff working behind the scenes. This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning their wine. Absolutely delicious, and there are many varieties to choose from! We are big pinot noir fans, and their wine does not disappoint! We are proud Nella terra wine club members and look forward to swinging by the winery to pick up our quarterly shipments, it is a way for us to enjoy the grounds and the beauty that Nella Terra offers. Not to mention reliving our wedding day each time we pick up our wine shipment. So, you must add Nella Terra to your list of venues to visit, and if you are like us, will quickly realize it is a one of a kind wedding venue! read more

We were married at Nella Terra in August 2018. We had both our ceremony and reception onsite. We toured a number of Bay Area wedding venues, and this is hands down one of the most breathtaking outdoor settings you'll find! We still get comments from guests on the beauty of Nella Terra. It was the perfect backdrop for gorgeous wedding photos that we'll treasure for a lifetime! I will never forget the moment the curtains opened, and I walked down the staircase arm-in-arm with my parents towards my soon-to-be husband. We worked with Whitney, and briefly Kendall while Whitney was on maternity leave. Both were prompt with replies and helpful in answering our many questions. They were kind and understanding - absolute pleasures to work with! We appreciated their flexibility in allowing us to bring in vendors outside their preferred list (aside from the caterer). The bridal suite is a beautiful, spacious and air-conditioned two-room building. It was a great place for my bridesmaids and I to gather before the ceremony. The groom's suite is a garage that's been converted to a tasting room for the winery. It served its purpose considering none of us had much time in our pre-wedding rooms. We were required to use On the Vine Catering for all of our food and beverage needs. Our guests liked it - we went with a taco bar! Naturally, all of our wine was from Nella Terra. We splurged on the wine & beer package so we could select our own wines, and they were all incredible! We didn't have a choice in beer, but people seemed to enjoy the one offered (a blonde from Altamont Brewery, I believe). I've read the bathrooms as luxury porta potties, but they have flushable toilets, are incredibly clean and tastefully decorated! We didn't have, nor hear, any complaints about them. There was also a wheelchair-accessible option for those who couldn't climb the stairs. For less mobile guests, they also offer a golf cart to get from the parking lot to the ceremony site below (the shuttle the majority of the guests use has some steps). If we had to do it all over again, we'd choose Nella Terra in a heartbeat. We wanted a peaceful, private outdoor venue to dance the night away with family and friends. We got exactly that! Pro tip: pay the extra fee to arrive more than the allotted 2 hours pre-ceremony, especially if you're doing a first look. Your bridal party and photographer will thank you. read more

This place left a bad taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively. I would like to say thank you to our host, who was the best thing about this place. She was down to earth and mellow, not like a lot of tasting rooms where they tend to think wine is not a commodity to be bestowed upon the commoners. I wish every tasting room had her vibes. Wines: I enjoyed the sparkling viogner very much. Bright, pleasant, and clean. Unfortunately, every wine that came after it was too acidic. We also ordered a $25 charcuterie for two, which included prosciutto, soppresata, brie, an additional 2 cheeses, olives, dried fruit, nuts, chocolate almonds, crackers, and a single strawberry. I liked the variety, but felt it would've been an elevated experience if it was served in a platter or board instead of in a plastic takeout container. This next part is the catalyst for leaving a negative review. As we were walking back to our car, we stopped to take some pictures of the apple trees and vines along the parking lot. An older, crusty jerk in a yellow t-shirt stopped us and asked rudely, "Did you come from the tasting?". Yes, rude dude, you creepily watched us walk a the way down to the lot. When we replied in the affirmative, he said, "The weddings starting soon". Okay. You host weddings, that's great. Wayyy down the hill, with trees blocking the view and ensuring their privacy, where we can hear the band testing the equipment but no voices from the area. If we can't hear them, I'm sure they can't hear us, as we're just quietly taking pictures on the way out. The tasting room wasn't even closed yet. That send-off, paired with the acidity of their wines, left us with bad feelings and kill joyed any other positive we could see about this winery. read more

Loved this location so much we joined the wine club! Can't wait to play bocce ball for free with our membership as the facility is just so gorgeous! read more

This review is only for its wines. We were lucky enough to get to try them at the Livermore Harvest Celebration this past weekend over at Concannon and was pleasantly surprised at their viognier and pinot noir which were smooth and pleasing to the palate. Their price point of $18 a bottle or 2 for $33 for the festival is so reasonably priced for a good red and they were super friendly and happy to talk to you about their wines. read more

We got married September 2015 and couldn't be happier with Nella Terra Cellars. Not only was it an incredible venue, but the staff should receive 6 stars, not 5. :) We booked Nella Terra Cellars 13 months in advance and initially worked with Veena. She was super knowledgeable and helpful as we were deciding on a venue. After we booked, Leann took over as our coordinator. I couldn't say enough about Leann... I'm a very picky bride so naturally, I bombarded Leann with many questions before we even met. She was always prompt in reply and easy-going. I never felt like I was overbearing (even if I was). Our two in-person meetings also felt really easy and she helped calm any nerves. You can tell Leann has been a wedding coordinator for a long time. But she was truly exceptional on the wedding day itself. It seemed like she didn't even take a 2 second break. She was running around all day and all night making sure everything was running smoothly. She also checked in with my husband and I throughout the evening, asking us how we were feeling and if we needed anything (for instance, if I wanted a ride to change my shoes up in bridal suite or if I needed an extra cocktail). At one point, she even stopped our guests from saying hi to us during dinner so we could quickly eat! What a nice (and difficult) thing to do! At the end of the night, Leann made sure all our things were packed up nicely in the boxes we brought them in and she wished us farewell. She has even emailed us to see how we're doing. I'm so impressed and grateful for Leann. She really made our wedding day what it is! Thumbs up to this awesome venue and awesome team of professionals. read more

Update: Response to Griffin's comment attached to my original post (see below). Griffin, we don't know you, as you have never been a part of any of our previous meetings or conversations. This being said, I'd like to address several of your points in your response to my post. First, regarding your accusation that all of the 1-star reviews posted recently on Yelp are from our friends and family is just not true. We don't recognize many of the reviews that were posted and have since been removed by Yelp due to Nella Terra contesting them. Nella Terra contested a 1-star review from a twin sister of a bride, mirroring our experience. My fiancé does not have a sister. Nella Terra also contested and had removed a review from a mother of a groom (twice), confirming our same experience. This woman who posted lives in Sacramento and my mother lives in another state. For you to imply we are the only couple aggrieved is disingenuous. April, May and June wedding couples are all impacted and you well know that many feel the way we do in how you are handling this situation. Second, with regards to the local government guidance around June 6th, although it is highly unlikely large gatherings will be allowed, this is irrelevant to the feasibility of having a wedding. We've expressed multiple times how all the businesses we need to be working with currently being shutdown during crunch time has prevented us from being able to continue planning. Even the Wedding Coordinator (Simply Lovely) Nella Terra specifically required us to hire, told us weeks ago it would not be possible to pull off a June 6th wedding with all that was left to be done. Only now that we refuse to be bullied into taking a weekday date in 2021, has everyone's tune changed. As of late, we are feeling pressured by Nella Terra and Simply Lovely to officially cancel the date. We can only assume this so they can enforce the part of the contract that states if we cancel, they get to keep our money and wash their hands of us. Finally, you state we were offered the ability to reschedule for multiple Saturday's in the Fall. The only Saturday offered was Nov. 28th, a few days after Thanksgiving. In previous years you normally close your wedding season in mid-October, obviously due to the weather. Whitney told us it was beautiful this time of year. Having lived in the area for many years, we know differently, and when we checked the weather.com site it shows an average high of 58-60 degrees, with an evening low of 40-42. This is unacceptable to us for an outdoor venue and we would never have booked that time of year for our wedding. The fact Nella Terra didn't even offer to refund the premium paid for the Summer Season speaks even more to the greed of your establishment. Please let's all move on from this unfortunate situation. We should have been granted the option to reschedule for a similar date next year at a minimum. We all have better things to focus on than continuing this dialogue. At this point, the relationship has soured so greatly we ask that you please just give us our money back, so we can make other arrangements and put this behind all of us. Nella Terra hasn't spent a dime on our wedding and citing grounds maintenance for a winery as a reason to hold us hostage is ridiculous. Do the right thing. read more

My friends threw me a small surprise engagement party at Nella Terra Cellars and it was absolutely wonderful! They told me all the scheming they did to surprise me and even worked with Griffin to keep it a secret and stall me in the beginning as they were decorating. They were accommodating and let them come early to set-up and decorate. We rented the bocce ball court which was really fun. The wine was great and I even ended up buying a bottle of the Cab. The place is so beautiful we took tons of pictures all around the grounds. Not surprised by how many weddings are here. Would definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

Nella Terra was one of three venues for our multicultural wedding celebration, and we can't say enough great things about it! The venue is just stunning, and looked just as amazing in photos as it did in person -- we're big nature people and love wine, so the vineyard was a perfect backdrop for our special day. There are SO many great spots for photos, whether it's for your first look, family photos, bridal party photos, etc. One of the silver linings of the pandemic was that because we postponed, we got to spend a lot of time at Nella Terra before our wedding day -- we can confirm that it's beautiful all-year round! We also got to know the Nella Terra team and event staff quite well, they were an absolute blast to work with. Very friendly and organized, and helped make our wedding run smoothly! We were also fortunate to work with many of the vendors on their preferred vendor list, and all of them were amazing. We'll add too that the guest experience is equally wonderful, we received a ton of compliments from our family and friends in attendance. All in all, we are SO happy to have had part of our wedding celebration at Nella Terra -- what an incredibly gorgeous and accommodating venue. Thank you to Kendall, Whitney, Griffin, and the entire Nella Terra team for all of your help throughout, we are truly grateful!! My wife and I just got married here on 9/29/2018 and everything was just about perfect. Leading up to the wedding, my wife was able to contact Whitney at any time with any questions and she would receive a prompt response. We originally toured the venue in 2017 and from that day to the wedding, my wife was able to work with all vendors, coordinators, and Whitney to make sure the wedding went as plan and it did. The venue itself is beautifully maintained with working fountains in a pond, a small waterfall, a bocce ball court, nice trees, and a wood bridge. My wife and I were told by numerous guests how nice the Nella Terra property was. read more

This venue is the absolute best! As a newly-wed groom, I will make try to make this short and sweet for all of the newly engaged couples that may be reading this. - We threw a big, fat, Indian wedding and this place excelled in every way (400+ people). The venue itself was beautiful and accommodated every one of our needs. Beautiful tents that kept our guests cool during the warm summer day, large/booming tent during the reception that kept the Indians dancing and celebrating late into the night, and overall, an absolutely astonishing staff that catered to each and every need. They made sure everything ran smoothly. We can honestly say that there was not one thing that went wrong (and to say that for a wedding is rare). Overall: I would highly recommend this place to anyone- be it my best friend or my future kid whose wedding will be the second most stressful time of my life. This place is the best! Veena and her team know exactly what they are doing and I am surprised that this undiscovered gem has not received more recognition. Just a matter of time until it is truly seen and praised for the amazing venue that it truly is! read more

I was recently here for a wedding in which myself and my husband we a part of the bridal party. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and the venue was great. However, the events coordinator is the reason for the 2 star review. She started by flirting with my husband and making inappropriate passes even after he told her he was married. Then she went around telling everyone that he was her new boyfriend. After dinner when it was time for toasts, the waiters and waitresses were filling up everyone's champagne flutes. She went out of her way to grab a bottle, fill up my husbands glass right in front of me and then walk away not getting anyone else at our table. This is SO unprofessional and absolutely disgusting. I didn't want to make a scene at a friends wedding but thought I'd share my experience here. Will not be returning for obvious reasons. read more

Nella Terra was a perfect setting for my sunset proposal to my fiancee! Was a hidden gem close to home that many people didn't expect in the middle of the mountains. Spoke with Kendall many times regarding planning and she set up something custom that was exactly what I needed. She was soo supportive of the planning process with my constant changes and let me come by to visit the property multiple times for staging and planning. Only downside was that the patio area didn't look as good without the pretty white tent setup (we were there during off-season so this was expected as this was a custom event). Thanks Nella Terra! read more

We had our wedding at Nella Terra this year and it was fantastic. Nella Terra's venue is beautiful and we especially loved the indoor-outdoor aspect. The venue is huge and offers many photo-opps, from the rolling hills to views of the vineyard. It's a family run business and we had the pleasure to work with both Kendall and Whitney; both were very friendly and fun to work with. Their dad even pitched in on the wedding day and shuttled people on his golf-cart! Overall, our wedding day was perfection and we could not have asked for anything more. Nella Terra was very accommodating and easy to work with; highly recommended! read more

Absolutely beautiful venue that fit our private & (mostly) outdoor wedding vision. The property has several great photo options including many amazing golden hour locations. The "natural breeze" we were concerned about turned out to be a blessing on a late June afternoon. It was also a joy to work with the Nella Terra family and their list of preferred vendors. All required and preferred vendor options were great quality with fair pricing . We were very happy with our planning & day of experiences. Thank you for making our day so amazing! read more

Nella Terra is such a well rounded establishment. I have been to a handful of tastings, the accommodating and knowledgable staff really make you feel right at home. Due to current events, they are even doing curb side pickup. It was actually really nice to get out of the house for a bit, take in the awesome views and pick-up some good wine. I have also attended a few larger events . A summer wedding which made you feel like you were in a fairy-tale. The grounds by itself are so stunning, really doesn't need much extra but the tasteful decor really put everything over the top. My family attended their mother's day brunch last year. There was live music, the food was fantastic, the kids loved running around the bocce ball courts. Definitely one of the most breath taking event spaces I've been to. I can't wait for my next visit! read more

Unfortunately I won't be able to write a review about how great this location is or could be. I reached out for some information for my wedding and casually said 75 people. And their response was "after looking at your information, we don't feel this venue is a good fit for your needs." This Kendall girl is telling ME what my needs are? How do you not know if my guest count is larger or could be etc. either way, such a turn off! I work in the wedding catering business and want to make sure everyone knows the service you'll get from Nella Terra Cellars. read more

We absolutely loved our wedding at Nella Terra and have no regrets about choosing them as our venue. From the first time we visited, we were impressed. There is something magical about driving into the venue passing the rolling hills (green in spring and golden in summer), farm land, and cows. It feels private, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city but also very accessible for people traveling from all parts of the Bay Area. The location and beautiful scenery were the biggest draws for us choosing the venue. Another plus is Nella Terra is staffed to help run your wedding. Ex: they have a phone number you can call and someone will answer or get back to you usually within 1 business day. This doesn't sound like a big deal but it actually is when you are planning your wedding and you have questions you need answered. We worked with Kendall at Nella Terra and found her to be super professional, friendly and very responsive. Even though she officially does sales, she continued to support our questions after we signed our contract which I really appreciated. She was a huge help to us as we navigated the questions that inevitably come up during the planning process. The one thing I hope can be improved in the future is the restrictions. We were required to sign contracts with a planner and caterer that Nella Terra had an exclusive partnership with. While this arrangement is beneficial to helping run the wedding since all of these people need to work closely together and it definitely helps if they work together frequently and know the venue well, it also binds you to what pricing options and services those vendors offer. It also creates a dynamic where it sometimes feels like your vendors are working for Nella Terra instead of you. I would advise negotiating on the planning services. I chose the cheapest plan on the planner's provided list but it was still fairly expensive given the planner actually functions more like a day of coordinator. The planner also operates for Nella Terra ensuring that you fulfill Nella Terra requirements - ex: providing proof of insurance and signed code of conduct from external vendors. I think having a few more options to choose from for both planning and catering would improve the experience for future couples while also maintaining a smooth working relationship with Nella Terra. Another suggestion could be to bring day of coordination in house. All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Nella Terra on our wedding day. The Nella Terra staff and partners took good care of us - running all the coordination and details so we could enjoy the ride. It's hard to describe how special it is - but really all of the planning and work that culminates in a single jam packed day is totally worth it. It's one of those days you want to savor and re-live every minute. read more

Where do I even start? Our wedding day at Nella Terra Cellars was absolutely magical and stunning. Our wedding exceeded our expectations and I am a very particular person! The only negative we have was that we wish the day lasted forever and ever! The communication was always easy with our coordinators Kendall and Whitney. I was never left with any unanswered questions, they were so responsive and always made sure I was up to date on everything. They work so well with Simply Lovely Events, that all our vendors were always on the same page. Everything is organized perfectly and left us saying to others that our wedding day was literally perfect, which not everyone can say after their wedding! There were no hiccups, everything was seamless and our guests continue to keep raving about how magical the evening was. I can't recommend Nella Terra Cellars enough to people for their special day. We have no regrets and wish we could relive that night over and over! Thank you for such an amazing day that we will never forget and continue to look back on with beaming smiles! read more

My wife Jessica and I were married at Nella Terra Cellars on September 15th, 2017. We used Palmdale Estates Catering as our caterer. Leann Jackson was our event manager and Yoselin Ontiveros was our ceremony coordinator. From the moment we walked onto the Nella Terra property on a tour with Lindsey Caravelli (a former sales person), we knew that it was the venue for us. The property is absolutely stunning. It was vast and expansive while also feeling intimate and romantic. While reviewing our venue options, we referred to it as "the one with the stairs", as the aisle to the ceremony site is a long descending set of stairs. It was a gorgeous way for Jessica to make her grand entrance. On the day of our wedding, it couldn't have been more beautiful. Our experience working with Nella Terra and Palmdale was mixed. While we were very happy with our final result, we ran into many small snags along the way. There were changing policies (how alcoholic beverages could be served), sales promises that weren't able to be kept after contracting (using the fire pit for a s'more based dessert bar), and confusions over contract language (the additional cost for venue and bride having early access to the property). We had consistent communication from the team, but it wasn't always clear, and we often had to follow up multiple times on requests. We would highly encourage all clients to closely review the contract language as well as all formal notes taken. Although we thought we had made a specific request, it wasn't notated correctly and we ended up having the wrong colored table clothes for our reception. Thankfully, Palmdale was extremely apologetic and did everything possible to make it right, including refunding the cost of the table clothes after the fact. Palmdale's quality of food was excellent. Although food wasn't our priority, and we were happy with the reasonable price per plate, many of our guests complimented the quality of the food. We were certain they would be pleased as we had an excellent private tasting experience with Chef Jeff. We served Chicken Picatta, New York Strip Steak, and Vegetable Strudel and were very happy with our entree choices. We served the Mixed Spring Greens salad, and offered the cascading garden display as well as passing Bacon Wrapped Chorizo and Dates and Smoked Salmon on Cocktail Rye crackers for appetizers. The staff at Nella Terra went out of their way to help make our day special. From providing golf cart transportation for the photographer and us as the couple for photo opportunities, to a very special surprise at the end of the night, the staff went above and beyond. At the end of the day, Nella Terra was the perfect venue for our wedding. We were so happy we chose it. Thank you Nella Terra and Palmdale! read more

I attended a gorgeous wedding here in Summer 2019. The venue is impeccable and whole event ran smoothly from start to finish. The ceremony was stunning on a warm summer day with a breeze and a gorgeous sunset with views of the hills you can't find anywhere else. Literally picture perfect. The reception was the most beautiful and was well organized and spacious for the band, dance floor and dining tables. The tent really made it feel intimate. The wines are delicious and as a club member I enjoy all the events they have hosted like Mothers Day brunch 2019 and the smaller tasting events throughout the year. We have visited Nella Terra for several events and each time was even better than the last! It's such a beautifully landscaped secluded venue with wide open spaces and picturesque rolling hills. The open air reception area was really unique with intimate casual seating and fire pit area which is located just outside event tent. The tent is AMAZING!! The wedding we went to there was the most beautiful wedding we have ever attended, AND THEIR WINES ARE SO DELICIOUS!! The staff at Nella Terra are so welcoming and professional. We cannot say enough great things about Nella Terra Cellars. They absolutely know what they are doing. We picked the venue for its beautiful scenery, but fell in love with the team and their level of service. A bonus for me was that they felt genuinely excited about our wedding day. Their approved vendor list significantly helped with the planning process. My wife and I live in Southern California and Nella Terra made finding the right people simple. The ability to use the bridal cottage to prepare was helpful the day of the ceremony. I definitely recommend renting the extra hour. The grounds are unbelievable. Our photos turned out amazing and we were able to use multiple locations within the venue to add variety. I will never forget watching my wife walk down the beautiful staircase on her way to the altar. read more

A year ago a large group of us from Texas attended a wedding at Nella Terra venue, it was the most amazing place! The staff were so kind and attentive. I often think about watching the beautiful bride coming down those stairs to a wonderful song. It was breathtaking! read more

July is bringing back memories of Ty and Whitney English's wedding we attended last year at Nella Terra Cellars in Sunol, CA The memories of the scenery, wine, food, and music are screaming "Take me back!!" The staff was so professional and yet you could see they were having as much fun as we were. (Well, maybe not quite as much fun) The attention to detail let me know that everyone's experience was first and foremost to them. Thank you for making this such an extraordinary lifelong memory for me. read more

The venue is beautiful but my coordinators Cassie and Leanne were not helpful..will post new blog soon. Too much to talk about. 5 stars for the owner and his property read more

Nella Terra is just beautiful. We attended a wedding there last summer and it was one of the most memorable we've ever attended. I loved the ceremony in the lower vineyard; it was just stunning. The cocktail area and magical tent setting for the dinner/dance was perfect. It was a very large wedding but there was plenty of space to not feel overly crowded. They had excellent wait staff and the wine was first class. Of course the bride and groom made it special but the setting made it first class! read more

This venue is absolutely stunning! It is so unique and provides a magical experience hidden among the rolling hills. We stopped in here on Saturday and met Paulette who gave us a tour of the grounds and bridal suite. She was so friendly and helpful with answering all of my questions. The reason that I will probably not end up booking here is because they do require a 200 person minimum for Saturday nights during peak season and my guest list will be much smaller than that :( However if you have anywhere around 200 guests you should definitely come check it out you won't be dissapointed. read more

Just having been open for a year, Nella Terra Cellars is one of the newer wineries/wedding venues just outside of the Bay Area. It's definitely out in the middle of nowhere....Sunol. My only previous experiences of going out to Sunol was for hiking or rock climbing in the regional wilderness park. When I was invited to attend a wedding at Nella Terra in Sunol, I was surprised why anyone would choose that area as their venue. After visiting, I realized that the venue was beautiful and almost like a hidden gem that has just been discovered. I didn't get a chance to check out the actual wine tasting rooms, but as you enter the Nella Terra grounds, vineyards provide a beautiful backdrop as if you were in wine country. For wedding guests, they provide a short shuttle ride down to the open space venue. It's great to have this shuttle service to and from your car since it would be a bit of a walk down or up the hill (especially ladies in high heels). There is a lovely lawn for a wedding ceremony with a garden and pond in the background. Only would caution those getting married during the summertime bc Sunol tempertures do get really hot. There was also a huge tent for the reception that day. I'm not sure if the catering is also affiliated with Nella Terra, but the food was alright for the most part. Some of the servers didn't know what they were serving when we asked during the cocktail hour and plates got cleared much faster than they were supposed to be during the reception. I gather that they do not have plumbing, so there are fancy port-a-potties on site. Overall, beautiful outdoor venue with the feel of being in wine country without the cost. As for the Nella Terra wines that were served at the reception, they were quite good. I tried both the Red Bliss and Viognier. Both blends were easy to drink and better than I would have expected. I definitely would go back to do some wine tasting if I were in that area. read more

Nella Terra Cellars - Wineries Near Me - Sunol, California

First, we'd like to thank Leann, Alena, and the Nella Terra staff for making our wedding a memorable one.Even the owner, Jerry, was very friendly and warm to my wife and I. They truly made everything as seamless as possible from the time we chose Nella Terra as our venue to the moment we got married. My wife and I decided to do everything on our own and forego a wedding planner. We didn't need one! Leann was so helpful and informative throughout the process that we were able to get everything together for our big day. What really helped was Nella Terra's bridal fair! Make sure you go to it.You're able to taste the food, speak to the DJ's, talk to the hotel representatives, cake tasting, etc. Overall, we highly recommend Nella Terra. Such a great venue with an even greater staff. For the price, the location, and the experience, we couldn't ask for anything more. read more

Nella Terra is a breathtaking venue with a staff that is passionate and knowledgeable. For weeks after our wedding, we received compliments from family and friends on how the venue was the most beautiful venue they've ever seen or how everything at the wedding was just perfect. We know that this perfection in the execution doesn't happen by chance and that only through working with Shanelle and Veena were we able to host such a memorable event. Their level of detail is remarkable, dealing with issues small and large so that we didn't have to worry about it at all during the event. The only regret we had with the entire process was not booking the extra hour for the wedding to run later. Book Nella Terra if you want great event organizers, an unforgettable venue, and an experience you won't regret. read more
