    Steak and Potatoes

Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery is a very popular event venue in NorCal. This spot sits in Pleasanton, and I recently came for a wedding. The venue itself was very nice, as the outdoor venue was small and intimate. The indoor venue was massive, and I really enjoyed my experience. The food was some of the best I've had at a wedding! In fact, the steak came out perfectly cooked. I was shocked, as usually steaks at these venues are overcooked. The potatoes really wowed me. They were some of the best potatoes I have had. It was truly a magical experience, and I highly recommend it to people looking for a fun venue.

I just attended a wedding here and wow, I was so impressed. I've been to quite a few weddings and have to say this venue is top notch. It feels so luxurious and very Europe-esque. From inside to out, everything is so well maintained. The space is spotless, and the landscaping and plants are clearly cared for with attention to detail. The food was also one of my absolute favorites -- they served short ribs and mac, a flambe donut station, a late-night fry station, and more. I would love to come back and attend another wedding here. Absolutely breathtaking venue!

We had our dream wedding at Casa Real! Our day-of coordinators, Heather and Kelsea, were incredible--they kept us on schedule, paid close attention to every request and detail, and thoughtfully included drinks and appetizers in our bridal suite, which was so comfortable and perfect for resting between events. During the early planning process, Carly also offered delicious suggestions for our signature drinks, and our guests loved the hors d'oeuvres and dinner. Many friends were so impressed that their families are already recommending the venue for future weddings. The Sun Garden was dreamy and magical, with delicate trees and the peaceful sound of the fountain as I walked down the aisle. I also loved the uplighting in the Grand Salon reception room (we customized the color to light pink and it added such an elegant touch)! The team made our slightly smaller guest count of around 90 feel perfectly accommodated. The only minor disappointment was that cold sparks and fog machines aren't allowed, but it didn't take away from the beauty of the day.

We just got married on 2/1/2026. Everyone is still buzzing about the venue. They fell in love with it just as we did when we first set foot in there as our first stop, and canceled all the rest of our other appointments to tour their venue. The vision of our wedding was built after we visited Casa Real. Sarah was our Day Of Coordinator. Top notch service. Attentive, communicative, and very calming. The entire Casa Real team were extremely responsive and easy to work with causing less stress with all the moving parts of wedding planning from the very beginning. We made memories that will last a lifetime and Casa Real set the tone... and we are forever grateful.

This review is so overdue but there are so much to say about how Casa Real and the team behind them are truly a well oiled machine. Booking Casa Real as our wedding venue was the easiest thing we had to do during our wedding planning. From setting up a Zoom call, to checking out the venue, to the food tasting, and being assigned a wedding coordinator, to the weeks out from the wedding, and day of- everything went as well as it could have been. It was truly the wedding of our dreams. Casa Real is an outstanding venue, it had the feel of a European castle and that's exactly what we were looking for. Their food/drinks package is truly amazing. You get more than what you pay for. My guests raved about the delicious food, drinks, late snacks, and desserts. We had great email exchange with Kara and Brittany (our wedding coordinator). Both of them were super communicative, patient, and transparent. It was so helpful that I didn't have to oversee as much. I wanted to shout out Brittany specifically. She was truly the MVP for our wedding. She is amazing at what she does and was able to guide us through our wedding day to perfection really. We never felt rushed, overwhelmed, or left on our own. We were so blessed to work with her. I also wanted to thank all the workers that worked our wedding on 3.24.24. Everyone did their part. From the great bartenders, the two people assigned to the groom and bride, and the chef/kitchen staff and more than I can think of... you helped us host the greatest party of our lives :) thank you ! If you're still reading this review by now... I hope you run to their website to book a Zoom call/visit! You won't regret picking Casa Real as your wedding venue!

We loved having our special day here and we could not have asked for a better experience. Everything was so amazing from the apps, to the service, to the parking, to the day of coordinator, to the food, to the staff!! I cannot rave and recommend enough this venue. Our families are still talking about how beautiful everything was. We got married in Feb and it was supposed to rain but we chose this venue because of the indoor/outdoor ceremony option and we are so glad we did! We had to change from indoor to outdoor a few days before and I am so glad we did because it rained *which we loved) and the indoor space worked even better for our overall theme! If you want a stress free wedding venue that takes care of all the big details and has amazing food and service, look no further!

We thought Casa Real was simply the perfect venue size and feel for our anticipated guest count (330) but what we realize now is that Casa Real was the perfect venue for us! We wanted an outdoor ceremony & indoor reception, and they also have an indoor area backup for ceremony. We had our spring garden themed wedding April 2024 and it couldn't have been more perfect! We worked with Kelsea to plan all the details of our wedding and she was such a pleasure to work with and guide us through the entire wedding planning process. We did outside catering with one of Casa Real's preferred vendors, Le's Kitchen, to have food our guests would be more familiar with. With Casa Real & Le's Kitchen combined, we continue to get compliments to this day about how beautiful & thoughtful the venue was, how great the food was, and just how fun the entire wedding day was!! The team at Casa Real is so experienced with throwing any type of event at their venue, you can book them with full confidence that they will do everything in their power to make your wedding day one of the most memorable of your life! We felt the price we paid for included everything up front and had no issues with random up-charges like you hear about at other venues. Definitely go and tour Casa real if you are on the fence! We continue to get questions about the venue from our guests who are in the process of planning their wedding and we cannot say enough good things about Casa Real to them.

Here for daughter's wedding and the venue is just so beautiful! It was an outdoor wedding with the dinner and festivities inside. The wedding couple planned everything and Lexi was their event planner and everything went pretty smoothly. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding with the garden outside and the inside, is also spacious and magnificent. I just wish they had a microphone so that we could make announcements about what is going on as our daughter's photographer asked us to physically gather up relatives for one family photo and so it was to me a bit stressful to go and look for our relatives outside and inside when we only had a few minutes for only one huge photo shot. And the desserts were served without the whole room knowing it during the performances so within 10 minutes, all 300 desserts were gone! This, however, could have been avoided if we knew what was going on. Perhaps our daughter needed to have the DJ make the announcements about family photos and desserts and where they would be located. I'm sure it wasn't the responsibility of the event coordinator but I just wish each phase of the schedule was communicated more through announcements. Hubby also left his dress shoes in his dance bag and we called the next day and they were found as well as other items that the wedding party left at the venue. Lexi was very attentive and we enjoyed having her as a coordinator.

My husband and I chose to wed at Casa Real last spring 2023 and we couldn't be more happier with our decision! We toured many venues for our special day but chose casa real for its location, vineyard scenery, the size of the space which could comfortably fit our 200+ guests, the inclusive package (outdoor wedding ceremony space, catering, alcohol, waitstaff/bartenders, event set up, wedding planning, cake, signage, tables, chairs). We also loved how seamless and professional working with the casa real team was! My husband is an event planner in the corporate world, so he had pretty high expectations going in but throughout the whole process, he was pleasantly impressed with every interaction we had with the team! Kara was always great to work with and was quick to answer any questions we had when emailing/calling in! And Carly was absolutely fantastic as our wedding coordinator. Her flawless attention to detail, quick pace and calm was a dream to have on the big day! We are STILL receiving endless compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed our event last year and will definitely be recommending Carly as a coordinator for any of our friends/family that may choose casa real as their wedding venue in the future!

I attended a fall wedding at Casa Real and everything was amazing. This was by far the best wedding food I have ever had, everything was so good from the appetizers to the dinner courses to the late night treat. I couldn't even stop eating to take a picture! There was also an open bar and the bartenders managed the line effectively and the drinks were great. The venue is breathtaking and gorgeous and the staff are so accommodating, inviting and friendly.

When it comes to choosing a wedding venue, there are so many options, and my daughter and I certainly looked into lots of them for her wedding. However after meeting with Kara via zoom, we all were so impressed. Then when we visited the venue in person, it was even more impressive than her zoom photos. Another factor is how much support they provide for the wedding. They take care of all the food and drink, the ceremony and reception is at the same location, and they provide a wedding coordinator. With so much taken care of for you, we decided to forego a wedding event planner, and everything turned out beautifully. THE STAFF: I can't say enough about how supportive Kara and Tammy (our wedding coordinator) were. They responded to all our questions quickly and always in a very friendly manner. They are real pros. THE VENUE: The venue is situated in a beautiful vineyard that's just breath taking for sunset photos. The bridal suite is large and with lots of mirrors, a bathroom, and tables and chairs. They also provide champagne and snacks while getting ready. The sun garden is a picturesque spot for the ceremony with an arbor with vines at the altar. However, they also have an indoor room for ceremonies. The grand salon is a huge reception room with a wooden bar. They provide standard linens and utensils (which really aren't bad), but you can upgrade. THE FOOD: A few months prior to the wedding, the couple is invited to taste all the different meal options. Everything was so delicious, they really had a hard time choosing. When I finally tasted the food at the wedding, I was so impressed. Every course was 5-stars. The guests are fed from start to finish. Upon arriving, we were treated to mimosas and juices. During cocktail hour, there were hors d'oeuvres of shortbread, duck liver pate, smoked bacon, chorizo, mini cuban, grilled cheese, and french fries. Then dinner service begins, and the entrees were short rib, roasted chicken, and Thai coconut curry. Then there is a quesadilla bar for a late night treat. These are all options that the couple chose. THE MEETINGS: We met twice with Tammy, our coordinator. She was fantastic and walked us through all the decision points, where we wanted each decor item, how many specialty dances, how many speeches, etc. By the end of our final meeting, there is a detailed itinerary down to almost every 5 minutes. She also drew up layouts of each room based on our preferences. We couldn't have done it without Tammy. THE REHEARSAL: Tammy was there at the rehearsal, and she pretty much coordinated the whole ceremony. Who walks first, how fast to walk, how to exit, etc. With all the planning meetings and rehearsal, everyone was ready for the big day. By the wedding, everyone was relaxed and enjoyed every moment. Many guests indicated it was the best wedding they have been to. Thank you Tammy & Kara for making the experience so wonderful. Photos by Augie Chang Photography

Super late review but 10000% recommend having your wedding at Casa Real!! My husband and I got married here in March of 2023 and it was the best decision we've ever made. We first toured this venue in November of 2021 and wanted to make sure we had more than enough time to plan the wedding. Their team really helped along the way with guiding us through the appropriate timeline. Their food is delicious and their staff was so extremely kind and thoughtful. We had the wonderful Alyssa as our day of coordinator and I cannot thank her enough for helping us. She really made sure our day stayed on track. Thanks again to Casa Real for such a beautiful wedding!!

So I have very mixed feelings about this place. Some things are incredible. Some things are not…read moreso great. I am a member of the "Legends" club. So that to me means it's top of the line membership as indicated by their pricing and what we get. So I feel I should get top notch deals, pricing and service. Turns out, we get the same shaft as the lower club members. Starting with the good, the location is pristine. Nice area with lots of room for kids and adults to mingle and play. The wine is also pretty darn good. Of course there are some better than others but I enjoy most of their wine. The service is also for the most part very good. The waitstaff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Their food is also pretty darn good. It's not incredible, and a bit overpriced but it's fine enough. Their wine pricing is also fair (but of course with the highest membership we get the biggest discount). My biggest complaints would be the price gouging and lack of communication. We made arrangements on a Friday to show Sunday with 6 and asked for the "VIP space upgrade to lounge or upstairs Vista Patio Lounge (when available)". They said no problem. When we showed on Sunday they said it was closed with no notice. Just a sorry. OK whatever. We sit inside (6 people and 2 children) and they charge for 2 children a "non drinker" charge of $10 ($5 each). A head count charge for non-drinkers? For children? Total nonsense! I am spending over $1,200 a year here and you want to gouge me for someone's kids? Their tastings are $40 a pop which is really crazy. Our price is waived on this so that's fine but if you are not a member you are paying a lot for a little. The wines do take a bit of time to come and they don't give you a lot. Kind of a bummer waiting for the taste. We ended up with 4 appetizers (sliders $24, Charcuterie $25, Tater Tots $12 and Pretzel Bites with Grilled Sausage $16) 2 bottles of wine and $4.25 for water and the bill was over $250. Oh and top that off, with 6 people, they charge a mandatory 20% on the bill for a tip and are basing that with taxes (as the button default), not the actual sub-total so they are actually getting about 23%. All in all, I am not sure that the cost is worth what you get. I mean we are giving them a lot of money just to be members and then having to pay more and more for anything else that really should be included (like water and kids) makes this place just a bit too over-rated for me. Probably end my club membership in the fall and go someplace that doesn't place money first.

The Barn was the best fit for us. Things to note about the Barn: -There is an old wooden bar that you can move depending on where you want it -250 person capacity -There is a dusty smell to the Barn as it's older, with candles we didn't notice it -The Barn isn't super clean, there is a little bit of dust and cobwebs, but it is a barn afterall -The bathrooms are pretty minimalistic, the men's room actually doesn't have a door -There are big white panels on the indoor walls of the Barn which look great with uplighting -They make you have security, but it wasn't prohibitive or even noticeable -There is plenty of parking -They don't allow kegs -It is better for a night reception, as the night makes the Barn's flaws less noticeable -There is a minimal kitchen for a catering company to use -We rented chairs, tables, and a dance floor, rather than using what came with the Barn -They don't clean, so make sure you arrange for cleanup Overall it was perfect for our wedding, I just don't think it would be perfect for everyone's wedding. Great service before, during and after the event, however there were 2 issues I encountered. 1- we got double-booked hence the party being on Friday but we did get compensated for it. 2- i was told no alcohol and the security guards were like really?! In the end though because of the rainy weather it was meant to be because of everyone's safety. If you are creative this is the place for you (personally I'm not). I'm use to walking into hotel banquet rooms and then off to have fun so unless you hire a staff or have a great support system like me this is a good choice. We embraced the walls. We went with their hors d'oeuvres, 3 course meal, open bar (I was overjoyed when they allowed bloody mary's as a signature drink and it was DELICIOUS) and late night snacks and everything was amazing. They also provided us with an outdoor ceremony tent to help us with the heat. Oh, and they have decorations you can rent at a cost or for FREE! We used Weddings with Athena as our coordinator, Celestial Petals as our florist, Ditto Dianto as our photographer, Benji Films (La Venus Studio) as our videographer, and DJ TN with Twin Spin Entertainment as our DJ/MC. All vendors were already familiar with the venue which made the entire planning a breeze. I hope to visit again as a guest as I will be recommending this venue to all future brides & grooms. Thank you so much Casa Bella!

From start to finish, we truly felt so supported and guided throughout the entire wedding planning process. From the venue tour, to navigating contracts, to nailing down details and logistics (menu tasting, coordinating with vendors, etc.), to the actual day of the wedding - the Palm's team was so incredibly professional and efficient, while also being understanding and reassuring during such a stressful time. The Palm's team is clearly a well-oiled machine and executed the entire wedding day without a hitch. We have to give a special shout out to our venue coordinator, Melissa, who is absolutely exceptional! Her attention to detail, kindness, and ability to simply get things done smoothly is unmatched. We were so grateful to have had her as our coordinator and highly recommend her! On top of the wonderful team (this includes all staff!), the venue is absolutely stunning and the in-house catering is amazing! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the food, and we can confidently say that no guest left hungry! My husband and I highly recommend The Palm Event Center for your special day!

The entire team was professional, kind, and committed to making our day perfect, and the venue itself is breathtaking. You can tell they take real pride in what they do. A huge part of our incredible experience was thanks to our coordinator, CARLY. She was kind, caring, joyful, and brought so much positive energy to every step of the process. She made us feel supported in a way that went beyond anything we ever expected. She cared about our wedding more than anyone else, family or friends included, and it showed in every detail. Our day would not have been the same without her. The Palm Event Center is stunning, but it's the people, especially Carly, who make it exceptional. We are deeply grateful for everything they did to make our wedding unforgettable.

We were very impressed with the entire Ruby Hill staff, especially our private events manager, Samantha. From the beginning, she helped make the planning process smooth and enjoyable. We had a wonderful tasting experience and an initial walkthrough where we were able to visualize the flow of our wedding day, which made us feel confident that everything would come together perfectly. The food was also delicious. Guests loved the steak, fish, and vegetarian options, and the late-night bites were a huge hit. The bartenders were fantastic as well--friendly, quick, and great at keeping the energy up throughout the night. One of the most special moments was seeing the staff and servers dancing along and enjoying the music with us in such a playful way, while still remaining attentive and accommodating to our guests. Their energy truly added to the joyful atmosphere of the night. This venue is absolutely five stars. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place or a better team to help bring our wedding day to life.

For me, the biggest draw are the french fries- they are almost always perfectly crisp and well seasoned. Furthermore, the taste of the food is great as well, and they are constantly trying out new recipes and ideas.
