We used this venue for our daughter's first birthday, management is very helpful and the place is amazing. Everyone we invited are happy and amazed about this place. She lets us decorate how we wanted it to be,she even let us decorate 3 days early before the party. That was a lot of help since it was just me and my wife that's adding what we wanted. We didn't use their catering and brought my own caterer, it was hectic setting up the catering. But she's very helpful and helped out with the set up. Just make sure you add the kitchen use to your contract if you need the kitchen. Overall the venue and management is amazing!

I had my wedding reception here just recently. Mrs. Tess Del Rosario was very accommodating and reasonable. She had made planning less stressful. Theme was rustic and place was exactly how I envisioned it to be. We had parking for out guests within the property and if not enough there is a nearby public parking space. Place is easy to dress up :)

Our family, friends and I had a wonderful, memorable experience celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday. This place is definitely a hidden gem and food was delicious! I received a lot of good praises about the venue and especially the food. Staff was excellent to work with and would highly recommend. They do it all! Thank you to Nicole, Tede & Elsie for everything!

Such a fun night!

The concert was so much fun! It was such a hassle free event. Great atmosphere and vibe! The place is perfect for any kind of event!

The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and easy for guests to access, which made a big difference when hosting a larger group. Everything ran smoothly, and the venue worked well for the kind of celebration we envisioned. One downside was parking--there happened to be a farmers market at the same time, which significantly reduced the parking availability we had planned for our guests. I do wish we had been given a heads-up about that in advance so we could have prepared accordingly. Overall, we had a really positive experience and would absolutely consider using this venue again in the future.

She was responsive, kind, and sent us super clear, detailed instructions a few days before the event on how to access the building and use everything, which helped calm a lot of first-time-host nerves. The location was another big win. There was plenty of parking both on the street and in the lot, and so many of our guests commented on how nice the area was and how spacious the venue felt. The space itself has everything you need--a kitchen, men's and women's restrooms, a bar area, plus tables and chairs you can borrow. That made planning our first baby shower so much easier and way less stressful. We also really appreciated that the building has an elevator, which was a huge help for friends bringing strollers. Overall, we had such a great experience and would absolutely recommend MCC to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-equipped venue that can comfortably host 80+ guests. We're so glad we chose this place!

The business is both a tea room and shop with tea ware, decor, vintage clothes, and other items for sale. Reservations are a must and my family was seated promptly at 1:30pm. The menu has two tea options and we each opted for Victorian tea. They present the scone first on a separate plate rather than on the tiered tray. The scone was delicious nonetheless, served warm and with three spreads: cream, lemon curd, and a seasonal maple butter which was a standout. The sandwiches were tasty and also served warm, with unique offerings like a cheese melt and mini quiche. My favorite was a cheese puff pastry item. The cucumber cream cheese sandwich was slightly hard to the bite (possibly overripe), but still tasty. The tea menu listed all flavor profiles and decaf options which I appreciated. I ordered a decaf blackberry sage English breakfast which went well with the scone and desserts (fudge, snow cookie, petit four). I enjoyed the warm scones the most, and the savory items second. This is one of the best value afternoon tea services I've found in the Bay Area for the price. Service was well paced and all parties were well situated so that everyone had their own corner. They even had a pile of a tea party hats to choose from towards the back wall. Overall, I would highly recommend Tyme for Tea and it's my favorite tea room I've tried in the East Bay. This business also perfectly complements the historic and charming qualities of the Niles neighborhood.

House tours are on the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Saturday of the month, from 1 to 3pm. What I liked about this spot is that there's about 2 gazebos in the enclosed Japanese garden with bench seats (no tables) where you can sit and meditate or quietly enjoy the calming ambience of petite Japanese maple trees and rock formations. There's also a tall tree near the front which was apparently planted in 1878, as well as some old olive trees with cool trunks in the periphery of their small and enclosed Japanese garden. There were quite a few bees and butterflies fluttering around during my visit - all signs of a good garden sanctuary for these insects. In the front and center lawn, there's a couple of picnic tables where I saw some locals sitting and having a nice conversation and enjoying the atmosphere. Towards the back is a much bigger barn and open space, which seems like it would cater for events, like an outdoor wedding reception or BBQ style party. During my visit in the late afternoon I saw a few people taking fashion and engagement photos here too. The parking lot looks like it could hold about 10-15 cars. I stopped in here for a quick stroll and visit after running errands in the area, so that I could enjoy some quiet relaxation and wait out the early rush hour traffic before my drive home.

If you're looking for an inclusive venue, Casa Bella is a must. We went with their hors d'oeuvres, 3 course meal, open bar (I was overjoyed when they allowed bloody mary's as a signature drink and it was DELICIOUS) and late night snacks and everything was amazing. They also provided us with an outdoor ceremony tent to help us with the heat. Oh, and they have decorations you can rent at a cost or for FREE! We used Weddings with Athena as our coordinator, Celestial Petals as our florist, Ditto Dianto as our photographer, Benji Films (La Venus Studio) as our videographer, and DJ TN with Twin Spin Entertainment as our DJ/MC. All vendors were already familiar with the venue which made the entire planning a breeze. I hope to visit again as a guest as I will be recommending this venue to all future brides & grooms. Belvoir Springs Bedbug Problem…read more Normally, I'm not the kind of person to go out of my way to post a negative review about an establishment (I don't even really post on Yelp), but Belvoir Springs is problematic enough where people need to be warned. There is a bedbug problem. The attached photos do not do the issue justice (they may get taken down). The bites also extended significantly to my torso. From a customer service standpoint, the owners Jim and Susan Richardson treated me with blatant disrespect. I was called a "hoodlum" (I'm a 4th year medical student), told to "shut the f-- up" , and "how about I bash your guitar over your head" by Jim. How these people can talk to anyone in that manner, much less a tenant, is beyond me. However, the focus of this post is about the sanitation issue. Beside the bedbugs, the kitchen for an entire month was filled with flies, and there is also an elderly man in the basement who personally cares for the feral cats that are on the property (I lived in the basement and there is a large radius in the hallway outside his room that reeks). What's remarkable is that I've posted this message on Craigslist to warn people and within 2 weeks, I received a total of about 10 emails from past residents of Belvoir Springs who had very similar bad experiences. That's 10 random individuals who happened to be browsing the housing section of Craigslist in a 2 week window, who were also past residents of Belvoir Springs and felt strong enough about their horrible experiences there that they e-mailed me to commiserate. What's implicit is that the issues and sub-human standards of Belvoir Springs are much more extensive and have been going on for a long time.

I recently responded via email to an ad about a room for rent. In his response, Jim, who I assume…read moreis the owner and/or general manager told me to make an appointment to see the room. I called to speak to him and asked if there was interest in that particular room. He told me there was interest but no pending applications. With that in mind, I made an appointment for 10 am this morning. I arrived a couple minutes after 10 due to rain. I'd been told to call when I arrived because the staff might not be on property. Three phone calls, two voicemails, one email, and an entire wasted hour later, I finally got someone to come out to the property for my scheduled appointment. When he (whoever he was, since I never got a name and he said he wasn't Jim) arrived, tiny wet dog in tow, he informed me the room I'd made an appointment to see had already been rented. So thanks to poor management and even more poor communication, I wasted time and money going to see a room I was never going to be able to rent. The trip cost me more than just a wasted morning - I could have scheduled client meetings during those hours or worked on pending projects. Instead I got aggravation and an unsympathetic man-with-a-dog-whose-job-title-remains-unknown. If this is how they treat potential customers, buyer beware. The beginning of the relationship is the best it's ever going to get, and it's all downhill from there. Judging by some of the previous comments about the rundown nature of the place (it was neat in appearance but definitely has seen better days, especially the filthy guest bathroom that I refuse to describe here), the service and maintenance is on par with the treatment I received today.

The center itself is humble, so not really for a wedding or anything fancy but great for baby shower/birthday parties etc. It has plenty of parking and they only rent out to one party a day so no one else is in the center except you and your guests. You are not allowed to hang/tape anything on the walls so you have to get really creative with your decorations.
