They really provide top-notch services. I was checking out any new product at YSL counter and replenished some stuffs too. The sales ladies were so friendly and helpful. They even offered my friend a casual makeup after my purchased. I also got the best cleanser I never had! Eve Lom 1st day launched at Neiman Marcus and got 5 sales at the counter. This review is SOLELY for the makeup mastery of Michelle at the YSL counter. I totally don't know why I didn't remember to write a review sooner since my trip was in the summer. I love MAC products, but let's admit it, many of the girls who work there themselves and on their customers cake the makeup on! I love having that sexy nighttime smokey eye look, but if I went to MAC to get my makeup done it would be 1000 times more intense and probably take a lot longer to wash off. Michelle knows her stuff, she actually used to work at MAC awhile back; so she can give you that MAC look without caking on the makeup! She gave me the best makeover for two nights in a row for the clubs. I kept receiving compliments all night and had way better Vegas b-day pictures because of her. On a mission for a particular Bobbi Brown eye palette, I decided to give Neiman Marcus a try. As soon as I entered the store, multiple sales associates smiled at me and welcomed me to Neiman's. One of the SAs approached and asked if I needed assistance. When I told her I was looking for the Bobbi Brown counter, she escorted me to the counter and introduced me to the makeup artist. I explained what I was searching for. She regretfully informed me that they did not have what I was looking for, but she offered to put together a custom palette for me. If all of the shadows would have been available individually, I would have jumped at the offer. Unfortunately, one of the colors is only available as part of this palette. Oh well. The SA was so apologetic that they did not have what I wanted. I must say that I was very impressed with the customer service at Nieman's. This is a nice store if you get to develop relationships with some salespeople, if relationships in store are important to you. If you live in Vegas and want to make this store "your" go to department store, walk around and get the vibe of some salespeople. There are some awful employees who treat you like an idiot, but dust off your shoes and look for authentic personalities and you will find them. Chanel sales associates are terrible. Worst chanel customer service I have ever experienced at a chanel store. Fine jewelry department and handbags are the most amazing! If you like fine jewelry look for Michael Pascal. He will treat you like a king or queen. And you can shop with him for everything you need. My review is only for the Cafe at Neiman Marcus. The Cafe at this Neiman's location is somewhat of a marriage of the fine dining restaurants and cafe restaurants that most other Neiman Marcus stores have. I have dined at both the fine dining restaurants and the Cafe's at other Neiman's more times than I can count and am quite familiar. I haven't been though for a couple years and was craving their famous popover. It was a pleasant surprise that the cafe served them as a complimentary start with a demitasse of Chicken Consomme. The popovers have always been served to me steaming hot fresh and moist on the inside. These popovers were obviously made some time before and were room temperature. Having sat long enough to be a bit tough and a real let down! I ordered the bistro salad which was greens with dried fruits, pecans and crumbled bleu cheese with grilled chicken. The salad and house dressing were just an nice as expected however the ample sized grilled, sliced chicken breast laid to the side was cold from the refrigerator. Every time I have had grilled chicken on a salad at Neiman's it has been freshly grilled and warm. As you can imagine, a refrigerator cold pice of grilled chicken breast makes for a pretty dry and hard piece of chicken, even being sliced. It was a bit shocking actually to discover the chicken cold as such. Lunch here was a total disappointment compared to other Neiman Marcus restaurants and other establishments as well. The ambiance is nice and the server was great but it really is about the food. read more

In my continuing saga to find a wedding dress, I finally found one on Neiman Marcus's website. I thought since I'm in Vegas I'll take a look at it in the store. Well, we went in and looked completely lost of course so one of the sales staff pointed me to the right floor. When I got to the proper floor the sales staff was very helpful, however, they don't carry the dress in question. They were tried to find some other selections to show me, but as I found out, most white dresses aren't in stock until at least February. I appreciated that they tried to assist me with my quest. I ultimately, went back online and ordered it when I arrived home. I wouldn't mind going back and checking out a few more things at another time. read more

Extremely rude staff. I went to return an item, and the staff were very rude. They then called a manager who came and he was even more rude, plus refused to let me return the item. Beware of "Josee Acosta" at the Chanel boutique! I was very excited to buy a graduation gift and picked out a nice bag for myself. I saw one I liked and Josee *repeatedly* told me that she could shorten the strap so it would fit better on me. Little did I realize that she played me so I wouldn't be able to return it and she could keep her commission! I went back to Chanel the following day because I was having second thoughts and the very rude sales associate told me that they could not return the bag because it has been modified by Josee. My issue is that Josee NEVER told us that I could not return the bag if it were modified. You would think that if you were spending $5k+ on a bag, you would be treated with more respect but I guess a scam is a scam! This place is a joke -- saturated with the most pretentious, pompous, and laughably ridiculous employees I've ever encountered. I stopped by this afternoon in search of a new pair of shoes, bag, and maybe an outfit or two. As I strolled by the shoe department, the light skinned gentleman with dark hair had the most snotty attitude I've ever seen. He even laughed at the way a certain pair of shoes looked on me as if he himself wasn't 15 pounds overweight with a comical hairpiece. (Relax, buddy, you work at the mall. You are not Christian Louboutin himself despite whatever you tell yourself at night. Get over yourself). I tried on several pairs of shoes but ultimately purchased the SAME pairs at Sak's Fifth Avenue where I actually received outstanding service. Just about every single employee there seemed to despise their lives and had stuck-up attitudes. I guess would, too, if I worked at the mall but that isn't my problem. Even their manager -- a scrawny little Asian guy -- had a pathetic, woe-is-meattitude. There was also some 24 or 25-year-old female manager who was openly talking crap about customers. (Get a life, Criselda). LET'S TALK ABOUT GINA. She was this lady (about 70-80 years old or so) who gave me the dirtiest looks. When I'd catch her, she'd try to cover it up with a fake smile. Her condescending attitude may have been a reflection of her deep regret for her life choices but again, that's not my problem. Her being geriatric and senile has nothing to do with me. All in all, everyone who works here is miserable. Again, I get it -- they work at the mall and have done nothing remarkable with their lives. They are pompous because, for some reason, they confuse their job titles. They SELL luxury goods but they cannot AFFORD said luxury goods unless they save up their paychecks and receive their employee discount. Lol. They are one step above Forever21 sales associates but could never actually own such an establishment. They confuse themselves with their affluent clientele, but probably go home to their studio apartments on Vegas boulevard. But then again, that's not my problem :) Anyway, I ended up getting a credit card and purchasing my stuff online instead. Do not go to the Chanel Boutique here... I own over 10 Chanel bags bought at various locations I have never received the service I received today. There was not a sole in the store and I walked in and asked for a certain type of bag...the salesperson literally laughed in my face for 30 seconds. It was the most bizarre reaction I have ever received from someone when I was walking in to buy a $4000 plus handbag. I understand inventory is low but there would have been a much better way to let a customer know this. This review is for the Gucci section. I went in hoping to purchase a Gucci purse. I didn't know exactly what purse I wanted. There was an Asian woman (young looking/I wish I would've got her name)-super sweet showed me every possible design. I was looking for a specific bag. She was giving me options and different styles because I didn't know what I wanted. She was checking what they had in stock in their back room. Another girl walked in (mid 30s blondish hair) and gave us the dirtiest look and said "no, we don't have it." The Asian girl kinda looked uncomfortable because she gave us a look like let me keep looking. Still walked into the stock room to look around and smiled and said "are you sure?" And the other girl said "yes we don't have it." Didn't address us at all. Just the other associate. They clearly had many in display. We're dressed according to the weather so nothing fancy. Directed us towards "cheaper" purses. Sucks because I really wanted the purse but I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

The SA was very rude, unpleasant, and seemed irritated that I was asking questions. No one else was in the booth. Maybe she thought I wasn't the clientele she was expecting that would purchase something. I ended up leaving empty handed because I didn't feel that it was proper for someone with a horrible attitude to get a commission off me. Very different from my experience from stand alone stores. The customer service here is impeccable, with someone always around to assist you, paying very close attention to anything you might need. The SA I dealt with was so patient, grinning and chatting about trends (which she actually knew well) and her favorites as she brought me 8 pairs of shoes. (Others have, instead, expressed irritation.) And even though on the first day I bought nothing, when I returned the next day to buy my top 3 picks, while most SAs would've probably pawned me off on someone else, she headed straight towards me to ask if I wanted to look around one more time and try on the shoes I liked the day before one more time just to make sure.. She even remembered which ones they were. They also have a huge collection which, surprisingly, includes some pretty hard to find accessories by luxury brand names. When I went, I was lucky to have gone during one of the semi-annual sales, which meant plenty of GORGEOUS shoes from the previous season for much cheaper ($290 for Chanels!) than I would ever find in Jakarta. I ended up going home with a pair of Tod's flats, Chanel flats, and Prada pumps. :-) (x10) read more

The only reason I like going to this store is because I can see all the different brands all in one department (purses, in particularly.) But the workers....OMG.... the rudest workers on the planet! So, I was very reluctant to write this review. One, because Neiman Marcus speaks for itself so why review? Two, because I wasn't sure if I'm ready to let anyone in on my little secret *evil laugh*. Given that I'm a devout Yelper, it is my duty to spread the good stuff, right? Alright ladies, you want handbags, come here. Why? Because you save money on tax when you say it is a "gift". The salesperson I worked with while I was perusing asked/hinted me if my purchase was a "gift"... well, technically yes, just for myself. I chanted a mantra to myself before stepping foot, "Do not buy anything, do not buy anything." Once the gentelman informed me about the tip on tax, I couldn't pass. All you need to do is have the purse shipped to someone else at a different address. Shipping is a flat fee and is a small fraction compared to the hundreds of dollars you are saving on tax. I don't know the complete list of brands, but I do know that Chanel is included and that Louis Vuitton is not. FINAL ANSWER: Neiman Marcus, Las Vegas = mecca of handbags. Selection is much better compared to Palo Alto's store, and the customer service is superior to that of Palo Alto's as well - the salespeople are great but not annoying sharks. I truly have a hate/love relationship with this particular Neiman Marcus location. I absolutely LOVE the lingerie department at this location. When their bras go on sale, it is amazing and even better than any Victoria Secret bra. I have only gotten excellent customer service from the reps in that department and give kudos and credit to whomever trained the ladies there. However, I am definitely docking off 2 stars for the service my sister and I experienced today at the Cle de Peau counter for makeup. A woman named Maria came up and asked if we needed any assistance and my sister was buying a replacement for her powder foundation. Maria grabbed a box from the area and rung her up. My sister than proceeded to pay with her debit card and we thought all was good. As my mom browsed through a few other things, my sister opened the box of foundation that Maria had given her so she could replace her current one. She realized that Maria had given and charged her for the liquid one and not the powder one she had asked for. Maria agreed to cancel the payment, but just a few minutes after ringing up my sister for her debit card, she said to my sister "do you have the $7 I gave you and I will give you the $100 cash back?" Umm what?? We looked at her confused and my sister reminded her that she had paid with her debit. Maria muttered a woops and continued to push a few buttons on her register. Ten seconds later, she showed my sister a receipt and said "ok I have voided the payment but I have to keep the receipt." My sister then asked for a copy of the receipt so she could keep it for her own record. Instead of giving her a copy of the real receipt, Maria proceeded to give her a gift receipt. At this point, we were getting very frustrated. Maria's attitude also became more and more begrudging. We asked if she could just make a simple copy of the receipt for us. She finally agreed and when she came back, she practically pushed the papers into our hands and walked away. Neiman Marcus is supposed to be an excellent department store but some reps here can definitely use some more training. I know this isn't the case for everyone that works here, but for anyone who is a first time buyer, especially for the prices of some of the things here, service should definitely be more than this. read more

We visit Las Vegas to shop, and in part because this Neiman's location has a fantastic selection. Why are we reluctant to return? The sales staff is way too aggressive and not very professional. We found ourselves in the middle of a huge amount of tension between sales people and wound up being 'assigned' to one woman who simply couldn't wait on all of us adequately. She was pushy about following us around the store but disappeared when we needed help with sizes or selection. All this drama unfolded while several other sales people stood to one side waiting for their turn to pounce on incoming customers. Really Neimans! We arrived ready to buy and only 1 of 6 of us left with a bag. Professional service and a little less tension about 'claiming us' would have resulted in a vastly different shopping experience and many more sales. We are smart women and smart shoppers, and although we are substantially younger than the sales people, we expect to be treated with some respect. We moved on to Saks, with great results. read more

Do NOT shop at this NM store!!! If I could give zero stars, I would! They have the worst customer service of any department store! I recently bought a beautiful dress there to wear to the Power of Love Gala. I expressed concern that the dress was snagging & the material could possibly be prone to doing so. The sales associate, TRACIE, assured me that it wouldn't happen and responded with "I promise". Well, the dress became a joke at our table that evening. It grabbed onto everything and snagged in several places. I was so bummed out! I really loved the dress, it fit like a glove, but was now snagged to the point where I couldn't wear it again. I tried to return the dress explaining what happened and that I would be happy to receive store credit if a complete return wasn't possible. I told the manager that Tracie and I had the discussion before I purchased the dress and she assured me more than once that it would be fine. The manager, JASON YOO, was extremely rude and dismissive and explained that I "should've known when I bought it". Really??? Is this how Neiman Marcus conducts business??? Making empty promises to customers? I vow to never shop at Neiman Marcus again and you shouldn't either. Let's not support these kind of businesses. read more
