Just in case everyone didn't know, Nordstrom is better than Neiman Marcus. I'm a frequent Nordstrom online shopper and I pick up at Northpark. It is an entirely seamless process. I was buying some gifts that I wanted to be nice so I thought buying from Neiman's gift wrapped would be better. I ordered online and payed $7.50/item for gift wrapping. I called the store to confirm pickup location, etc and got several abrupt "can you hold?"people and then no one answered. Showed up and parked because there was no curbside pickup like Nordstrom has. The pickup was nowhere near the parking lot! I walked in to customer service (the department that had not answered my calls) and four women looked at me guiltily behind the counter as they stopped their gabfest. I gave them my ID and they pulled my package. Nothing was wrapped. They said it would take 30 minutes to wrap. Why would I have ordered online if I had time to wait? I said I would just return the items and buy them elsewhere. They offered individual bags, which I accepted reluctantly given my time crunch. All the while one of the four women was yammering on about how it didn't say gift wrap on the order despite seeing my order that showed $42 for gift wrapping. Then on my way out - I asked how my recipients returned the items if there was an issue. I had a lot of blank stares from the four. Then a process that included the recipient giving the store my phone number if they knew it. I requested gift receipts, which were apparently not an option for Neiman Marcus. I was disappointed with my experience and I will not be back. read more

I was shopping for a formal gown for an upcoming event. So many beautiful designer pieces! I looked for help with a few items, but all associates were busy. Finally, I saw a woman that was straightening some dresses. As I walked over to her, she was asked by another lady if they had any other sizes in a certain gown. She replied while walking away, "whatever the designer has, is out." Then told her coworker, "I'm not helping anyone else tonight". I get you're tired and maybe having a bad day, but come on..it's the retail industry. It's not fun at times, I get it. I finally flagged down an associate about a dress I wanted to order and a few more questions she answered. Maybe understaffed? Maybe they don't give a crap? Not sure? I've always been a loyal Neimans shopper, but it's definitely not the same as it was. Makes me sad. I'm giving 2 stars because it's a pretty store to walk through. read more

North Park mall puts most malls in America to shame. This particular Neiman Marcus does the same. I shop here all the time. The customer service is top notch. Sometimes they have complementary wine or artisan drinks and water. I love when they have a piano player playing classical or cover songs. I once walked in and there was an epic fashion show. That did it for me. I asked an associate if I could join in and have a seat in the show and they said yes! Right next to big fashion buyers and fashion execs. They had free hors d'oeuvre, wine, sliders, soda, etc. Talk about making a random (me) feel special. The show was very professional, models were gorgeous and the narrator described the outfits. Later the designers explained their passions and motivation behind the portfolio of outfits they made. I learned a lot about fashion. Good times. read more

I attended a lovely luncheon here on October 15, 2019 in their beautiful Zodiac restaurant. It was a lovely event that I was able to fly in for. Valet parking was recommended and made it easy as an out-of-towner not knowing where to park. Unfortunately, my rental car was damaged in the garage by the valet. I immediately reported it to the company running the valet for NM. Initially, very attentive taking information, pictures, address to refund me for the damage rental car company charged me, then nothing. No check. No communication. No return emails. I have been patient waiting to give the guy benefit of the doubt, but it's February now. Made for a VERY expensive lunch. read more

The customer service is great. I just a facial and a gift bag to accompany my purchase. They regularly pour champagne for customers, so refreshing. We placed 2 in-store orders on March 13 with the promotion code "MARCHGC" and supposedly should get a gift card as the reward from the event. It has been almost 4 months and still hasn't received the gift card. I contacted the store (NorthPark Dallas) today and now they said "that promotion was INVITED ONLY" and I was not on the list, that's why I don't receive the gift card. I checked the event web-page and guess what? There is no any word indicates the event is invited person only. Moreover, When I was placing the order in the store, the salesperson did check with the manager and did confirm that we are eligible for the event. I am really disappointed with the result and believe that Neiman Marcus as a trustworthy department store should not lie to its customers. read more

Horrible customer service. I made an online purchase with an American Express gift card. After all the funds were spent, I threw away the card. I had to return the shoes as they were too tight and did not fit even though I ordered them in my size and the website did not say they ran small. I specifically write in large, bold letters that I was no longer in possession of that gift card and to please issue me a store credit. They were lazy and ignored my request and refunded the gift card for $168. I have been back and forth with customer service for 2 weeks regarding this and getting no where fast. I have written a letter documenting everything to the CEO and have not gotten the courtesy of a response. For a high end, over priced felt. Store, there service stinks. I get better service at target. Their unwillingness to help me means I am out $168.! After writing a letter to the CEO I finally got someone to call me back and work with me on a resolution. Going downhill fast Want to get "high by contact"? Go visit the store any given Saturday or Saturday afternoon. The stench of weed (specifically in the men's 'fashion' area) is horrible! And (as expected) the men's fashion selections have changed over time to cater to the... stoners... that grace the store during the weekends. Also, the quality of service at the cafe seems to be slipping faster than Maxine Water's wig when riding a convertible... Most of the servers are very good, but the one that took care of us today... well... I get it. Weed possession is a "nothing burger" in Dallas. Therefore, your rental Dallas Police stay upstairs and don't mess with the situation. However, I'm sure those people will leave if your rent-a-cops hand out a few tickets... I went in Neiman Marcus at North Park Center on a busy Saturday and was immediately greeted and welcomed. The store was very busy but I was helped by Maggie. I absolutely loved her service and she made sure I was well taken care of. I needed this same gift wrapped and got more help from Tyler. Terrible experience! I bought a designer ring and shipped from Dallas, TX NM. The ring was over 7k dollars and came with no authenticity card, original box, no GIA certificate. I called the customer service and was told by the manager that the box and certificate can be shipped home desperately and I will be contacted two days later with more details. Waiting and waiting...Heard nothing back from them. Few days after, we reached out to the NM jewelry department again and were told that they DO NOT carry original box or anything at all. I have mixed feelings about this store. I have shopped at Neiman Marcus in Hawaii, Vegas, DC ,Maryland and PA and NC to name a few and I have always had great customer service from the second I stepped foot in there. But, this one isn't the same. At times I feel like they purposely don't speak to you. Its definitely not what I'm use to. The selection of clothes and bags (minus Marc Jacobs) is great. But I have a lot of trouble spending money in a store where they don't treat you that great. I may be spoiled and use to my salespeople at the stores I frequent but I moved to Dallas recently and I'm just not satisfied with this service. I will probably contact my salesman in LA and have him send my items because I'm just not happy. If anyone knows a good salesperson please let me know. I always feel out of place in NM, mostly because I never dress nicely when at the mall since it seems like such a waste. That plus no makeup plus a long puffy coat = the employees thinking I'm some kind of crazy hobo-lady who is going to make a huge scene while urinating in a corner. I'm a fan of department stores that carry nice slim fitting menswear and this store has that in gads. No, it's not cheap, but they carry brands that actually fit well and are flattering, which is kind of all that matters. Their women's section is huge, and for me a little disorienting in the amount of leather, feathers, fur, and sparkly snazzle on the racks. They do, however, have a nice denim selection, and unlike other stores are good about keeping the sizes in stock. Pro tip: Do not go to NM wearing a t-shirt that says "see you in hell" - no one there will think it's funny (even though, come on, it is). I think employee training may prevent the workers from smiling or being friendly toward people they suspect might not be able to afford a tin of hot chocolate on the basis of their outfit alone. read more

What more can I say that hasn't been written. Somehow I believe that when all fashionistas die, before they pass through the pearly gates, they pass through the doors of Neiman's. Beautiful store, located in what is probably the best shopping experience in the entire Metroplex. PLENTY of beautiful things to see (and sometimes buy...depending on your wallet). My wife and I love this store, not only for its amazing selection of high end designer merchandise...but the customer service is really THAT good! I've NEVER had any issue with a sales person. Everyone is friendly...willing to help...and don't make you feel like "if you're not buying, i'm not helping you". Never has happened! Sure I'd love to be able to afford to buy more there...who wouldn't!!! But come on...its nice to walk a little on the wild side and splurge a little on yourself (or your wife) and Neiman's is the place to do it. Cash...Nieman's card and now all major credit cards too! Worst. Service. Ever. I was wearing Jeans, leather frye boots, and a black coat and was treated like I was an escaped convict. The woman working there was rude and dismissive. If you aren't wearing flashy clothes you will not receive assistance. What's more you might be discouraged from even trying on clothes. I was coming in to by an evening gown for a black tie event. A VERY pricey evening gown. I had debated between a couple online and wanted to go into the store to try on and purchase. I searched to find the product in stores and proceeded to that Neiman Marcus location. I saw a couple of dresses I liked and decided to try them on. First of all. It took a solid 15 minutes of me walking around with multiple dresses before anyone even asked if I would like them to start a fitting room for me. Then, once I pulled op the photo of the dress I had in mind, and finally got a sales associates' attention for help. She was not only unhelpful, she walked off in the middle of talking with me to help a customer who was clearly a lot wealthier than I was WITHOUT SAYING A WORD TO ME. I was so livid that I walked out of the store without even trying on the other gowns I had picked out. Neiman Marcus not only lost my business on that evening gown, I will not be going to them to shop for anything in the future. They have lost my business for life and I will not hesitate to share that story whenever I find an opportunity. I came in to get my wedding shoes. I had two in mind. I got to the table Loubies to look for the two contenders. After a few minutes, an awesome sales associate helped me out. I didn't get her name. My size always varies in CL so it took a while to find my size. She was very patient and helpful. The pair I wanted happens to sell out fast and happens to be the more expensive pair. She informed me of the company's inventory but wasn't pushy. I wish I got her name. When I get my next pair, I'll look for her! read more

After spending today at my mothership, I couldn't help but feel compelled to yelp a few high notes for Neiman's. If I were to marry, adopt, or take on any other lifelong form of committment to a retail institution, it would be NM. Why? Well, in Dallas, they have everything. They are the end all be all. Women's Classic Collections and Shoes & Handbags are covered like there's no tomorrow, and, as far as Ladies Contemporary, there's only the rare moment when I can't find a new label I've found in New York or elsewhere. Not to fret though, there's online shops until Neiman's comes through the following season. Makeup selection is superb and Zodiac (or NM Cafe as it is now) is impeccable - but that's for another review. Neiman's is my kind of heaven. Just the thought of it is sending out endogenous endorphins and lowering my blood pressure right now... PS. In Contemporary, work with Lori. I've worked with her for almost 4 years now. She's the best, sweetest, and always nabs the cutest sale stuff for me, even when I'm 1,500 miles away... PPS. One major note here: no Chanel at Neiman's Northpark. Need to go to Downtown or Willow Bend. This is too bad, but I guess between those two and HP Village, there are enough boutiques to satisfy all the Coco lovers of Dallas. read more

I love this store and the people in it. I've rarely had a bad experience. This store needs mold remediation badly. Every time I go in here it bothers me to stay for an extended period of time. Lately it's back to being very high on the side of mold. I don't know how the people stand in it 8 hours a day. You should call fixairx they'll get the problem fixed. I purchased a new Armani Jacket and some other things this summer, I have been shopping here since 1985. Wore the Jacket this past week for the first time, and a friend noticed the back seem was apart. So Sunday I drive into Dallas to the Northpark location, take it to a clerk he informs me they have to charge $24. I ask for the manager I could not believe what I was hearing a new coat that I had not worn they were going to charge me for their defect. The Manager came over and said well we will make an exception this time, what? The absolute BEST tortilla soup you will ever have. Sitting at the counter is a treat, although you can't see all the shoppers. We had a great view of the lady making the sandwiches and it was quite interesting. The chicken salad sandwich is divine, and the blackeyed pea + corn relish are really good. Recently went in to buy Creed Green Irish Tweed for my husband for his birthday. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock in the store, but Jeffery the Creed brand manager was able to order it for us. He sent an email copy of the receipt on the Saturday it was ordered then followed up to let me know the item had shipped. Item was received Tuesday PM after ordering Saturday. Jeffery followed up after the item was delivered to make sure it arrived as scheduled and as we expected. Excellent customer service all the way around. I appreciate the thought and time that goes into following up to make sure the customer is satisfied. Susan Buskirk in women's shoes is the kindest woman ever and so helpful! I will be returning to get all my shoes from her whenever possible. Fell in love with some Louboutins only to find out they didn't have my size anywhere in the metroplex (not even other chains or the boutique) she found the last pair in the country in a Florida store. Ordered them for me at no additional charge. Ordered at closing time on Sunday night with a federal holiday the next day and they arrived early Friday morning. read more

I never thought to review this the Mermaid bar until I noticed David's new one. I agree the tortilla soup is outstanding and it definitely draws me into this place on a regular basis. My personal favorite is the soup and sandwich combo (chicken salad in my case). Everything is very tasty without being huge in portions. Prices are less than you'd expect given this is Neiman's... Neiman Marcus isn't for the faint of heart... it's for people with more cash then brains. But... I love the brand and usually shop at the original downtown. Recently I was trapped in this horrible mall for an interview suit and saw fit to stop by. Everyone I came in contact with was professional and very helpful. No one tried to oversell me anything and took me right to what I asked for. I found some Jimmy Choo's that I wanted to sleep with but they weren't what I was looking for. I did pick up a small item and let my friend carry the tiny expensive bad for laughs. :) The biggest plus to me is that they take REGULAR credit cards now... not just Neimans or Cash. read more

I shop at Neiman Marcus all the time but mostly online lately since they have a lot more GWP and beauty promotions online. Every girl loves GWP and they seem to offer them often. However one problem I've noticed is a lot of GWP appear as available when you purchase and then after you receive your order you find out they ran out. They sometimes substitute it with something else but never as good as what was originally offered/advertised. However, shopping at store eliminates that problem if they have GWP available and shopping in store is also good when you really need something right away like before a trip or a dinner date. But they really need to start offering the same promotions in store if they want people to continue shopping there. I've been doing most of my shopping online for years. But with beauty products you really need to try in person. And sephora doesn't carry a lot of the high end brands that you'll find here. read more

Okay, after reading a few of the reviews about the Neiman Marcus stores in Dallas, I was a little hesitant about my first visit to the North Park location. However, having ran out of my last bit of Chanel moisturizer, I decided to bite the bullet. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Chanel counter was amazing. I left with not only my moisturizer, but samples for days. They room their time to explain different parts of their line and didn't try to up sell me, just educate me, which worked because after the lesson I bought a few more pieces. Shoe section-AMAZEBALLS! Very attentive sales persons, no snooty attitudes, they were an absolute delight. Will definitely be back when the finances allow. read more

Felt like I interrupted their conversation when I asked for the product. One went looking for the product and the rest turned their backs and started gossiping again.
