I've been to a lot of sneaker stores over the years, and The Laboratory DTX is easily one of my favorites in Dallas. The inventory is always solid, whether you're looking for something new, classic Jordans, or hard-to-find pairs. What really makes this place stand out though is the people. Jesse, JP, Max, and the entire team are great to work with every time I stop in. They're knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and you can tell they genuinely love sneakers and the culture. It never feels like just a transaction as they take the time to help, talk shoes, and make sure you leave happy. Great store, great atmosphere, and a great group of guys running it. In Dallas for a shoe convention and wanted more before heading back to Fort Worth. Located in a very trendy and busy Lowest Greenville, This place is beyond cool! If you're looking for a specific shoe, they may have it in several sizes. They also carry rare and never seen in person type shoes. They consign by what I've seen as well as well as new unused. Be sure and be prepared to pay more than what you'll find retail or even resale at conventions. You want a pair here, you're paying for it and then some. This store is awesome. I cosigned a pair of one of my first Jordan box sets here and the guys were great. I read about a break in and got super worried that my shoes would have been stolen but they were not. They took a while to sell but all in all it was a great experience. I loved going in and seeing my shoes on the shelves! I have also purchased a few pairs of shoes from here. The guys behind the counter are alway super nice and helpful. The pricing is typical resale pricing so be ready for a little sticker shock but nothing too crazy. They also have great covid protocols. Even as late as early April they were limiting the number of folks in the store and required masks. I was super happy to see that their security game has been elevated after they had multiple break ins. I hope that does not cause them to close this shop. I know I would be fed up with people coming in and stealing what is not theirs multiple times. read more

The laboratory grand opening showcased an awesome new sneaker store on lower Greenville. The store is based off popular streetwear clothing and shoe brands that release products in limited quantities creating a market for resellers. The store doesn't have any wholesale agreements with any of the brands and so inventory is procured from our customers. They sell new and used items and make sure to do a rigorous review of items taken in order to verify authenticity. They also offer consignment as an option for those customers that choose to sell something at a higher price than we're selling to buy it for.  So in a sense, the customers are the suppliers. The Laboratory is my new favorite store in Dallas, and I just moved here! Sure, sometimes you could find better deals online, but that could apply to anything with retail. As a reseller myself, I know that sometimes you gotta spend a little more for conveniency and rare-ity of the piece. Compared to other stores in New York and LA, such as the most popular 'Round Two', The Laboratory prices are reasonable, given the model. Plus they get new stuff everyday, so make sure to follow their insta to get the good stuff! Other consignment stores I've been to, like Round two, usually like to stick with only hype stuff, but I was happily shocked when I saw brand names like Helmut Lang, CDG, Neighborhood, and Mastermind on the shelves. I even saw some vlone designs that I never even knew existed. They may not have a huge selection of high fashion pieces, but I can get there one day. The supreme and bape collection is pretty good with standard pricing! I bought a CDG shirt for $85, but in NY or LA it would've been doubled. Watch out for the Lab, they're going up from here! Dallas needed this store. People may talk about how the workers are chilling behind the counter, but at the same time people should remember that this isn't a traditional retail store. They checked on me when appropriate and helped me get with their sweet program where you get $50 for every $500 you spend! They don't have a designated parking area that I know of, but behind the building there is a parking lot for the retail spaces in that area. There is also street parking in the front, but can be full at times. read more

Awesome store, great staff, good music and great clothes. Went there the day after the opening with my sister and bought several Supreme and Bape items. Biggest regret is not researching the prices online before purchasing, pricing can be good or inconsistent, bought a hat for $90 when the resale value is $35-45. They carry many old Bape items which might interest the old school hype-beast and for the new average fan of fashion, they carry Off-White and Yeezy items. Make sure to do your research and be prepared before you buy anything. (P.S. the owner is so nice, the staff likes to compliment you which makes you feel welcomed.) read more

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Prices are higher than the market. I bought Yeezy Blue Tints for 340$ from them, and I go back to sell them after wearing them one time (a little to small) and they offer me 200$. Said they were "beat" after nothing on the shoe changed. Don't bother buying or selling to this place. read more

Great Store! This place is just like a store in LA. They have a huge selection of Supreme, Yeezys, Bape, etc. The service is also great. The staff helped me sell my yeezys and let me try on many things. My only complaint is that they take 20% of your money on consignment. Its kinda alot considering many sneaker places take 12 or 10%. Cool store but employees don't talk with you and try to help at all. Most of them were near the back by the register and there was only one guy on the floor and he was the greeter. Prices are too high and I know the market on what shoes go for. You can find better deals on GOAT. And there are better consignment stores in the area that will work with you on the price of shoes and supreme unlike the laboratory, where they are "firm". read more
