I've been in two or three times and I must be hitting them at a bad time...or not. I understand the fact that I do not look like their usual clientele. But my money will spend just as readily. No one has ever said boo to me. It's like the bad Will Ferrell clothing store skit. They look up from the counter and then go back to talking on their incredibly small cell phones, because I don't meet the hipster standard. The clothes are trendy. I do like them better than Counter Culture, but it's like comparing apples to, say apples with big stitches and bad appliques. But Chris is right when he said you need to watch the store to make sure you get there before they sell out of what you need. Best bet, pry one of the sales clerks from their stoop and wave enough platinum card if front of them to make them your willing personal shopper zombie slave. I went into this store and was immediately hit with the stench of marijuana. It was so overwhelming that I had to leave within a couple minutes of coming in because as someone with asthma I was worried about endangering my health being in that environment. From the intensity of the smell it was clear that there had been people recently or actively smoking pot INSIDE THE STORE for an extended period of time, and since there weren't any customers in there it seems like the employees were the likely culprits. If you want to smoke pot, fine but do so a) OUTDOORS b) not at your place of business! Not everyone tolerates the smell of marijuana and some of us have issues breathing in smoking environments. Id encourage Centre to be more mindful of customers with disabilities and consider the customers they're losing by allowing the pot stench and smoking to be in their store. read more

I ordered a hat in August for a friends birthday and was told it would ship in a week. Then received an update at the end of September that as a small business they have been affected by COVID supply chain issues, which is understandable. In this email they said production was complete and my order would ship in a week. I reached out in early October asking for an update...no response. November 1st they emailed saying my order would ship on or before November 9th. It is now November 13th and I haven't heard anything from the company. Overall a lack of communication and when they do it is misleading. I suggest not ordering from this store online. read more

Wish yelp had negative stars. I would rate Centre a -100. Worst customer service experience ever! Do not order online from this store! I placed an order for $250 worth of apparel on December 13, 2022, was sent a confirmation email saying that my order was confirmed, they would send an email when the order shipped and to expect delivery in 7 to 10 days. My credit card was charged. The website provides a phone number to call if there are any questions about an order. Called several times the week before Christmas and no one would answer the phone, so I left a message asking about my order leaving the order number and all pertinent information. Never received a call back. Never received an email indicating shipment. Christmas came and went. Tried to call the number provided on the website the week after Christmas and, SURPRISE, no one answered the phone. Called at least 50 times and still no answer. Checked the store hours online (THEY DO NOT EVEN OPEN UNTIL NOON) and decided to go to the store on Wednesday afternoon-- 3 days after Christmas-- around 1 pm. A handwritten note on the door said that they would be closed the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after Christmas and would resume normal hours on Thursday and Friday. THIS IS THE WEEK AFTER CHRISTMAS WHEN EVERYONE WANTS TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE MERCHANDISE!!!!! Left without any answers and tried calling about 50 times again on Thursday-- What? Still no answer. Went back to the store on Thursday and a different handwritten note on the door said that they would be closed on Thursday and would reopen on Friday. Luckily, someone inadvertently left the door unlocked and I went in. I was not going to leave without a refund. The condition of the store was an absolute disaster-- just like their customer service. So many boxes everywhere it looked like they were moving. I asked if they were and was told that they were opening more stores-- which is a horrible mistake IMO. The guy (Bennie, I think) that finally gave me a refund was very apologetic, but nothing could make up for that total disregard for my time, effort, satisfaction and lack of Christmas gifts that I ordered within a reasonable time frame to expect delivery by Christmas-- especially since I live in Dallas! They are the Southwest Airlines of Clothing Stores and I will tell everyone I know not to step foot in this mismanaged, rude and disorganized nightmare of a business! read more

Centre is an ultra-hip, too cool boutique in Mockingbird Station. It's small, but they have a good selection of some very, very nice things. I like the clothes they have to offer, but the biggest standout for me is their collection of sunglasses. They specialize in unworn, dead-stock vintage glasses. Recently, I bought a pair of Diors from the '80s that were 50% off and a pair of Porsche-designed Carrera Aviators. If anyone you know is a sunglasses geek, they'll be especially appreciative of Centre's unique offerings. As well as clothes and sunglasses, Centre also has unique books, jewelry, shoes and bags. read more

First, they send me the wrong shoes. Then, the owner/manager, Johnny Powell, "goes out of town" and never sends me a new invoice. His attempt for good customer service WAS appreciated since he offered to take 15% off my order when sending the correct pair of shoes to me, so that's the only reason I would give Centre 1 star. He also said the shoe I originally ordered was still in stock (but was shown as sold out on their website). I'm assuming that he clearly doesn't know his inventory, so now he's trying to get out of not sending the correct pair since he doesn't have it anymore. You would think the owner of a small store would try to fix their mistakes in a timely manner to keep their customers happy? Anyway, after waiting for the new invoice for 6 days, I called the shop and talked to a lady and said she would inform Johnny "the next day" about having the invoice sent. 4 days later, nothing. The only email he has sent me was the return label to send the wrong shoe back, which he sent almost 2 weeks ago. I have sent several emails ever since and left a voicemail for anyone to contact me in regards to this issue. Still nothing. Overall, terrible customer service, especially if you're out of state and have to deal with them through phone calls and emails. They simply don't own up to their mistakes by not responding to their customers. Hopefully they don't screw up the return somehow, but they probably will. read more

It seems everyone has had different levels of customer service here. I definitely don't fit the demogaphic of a Centre patron either but I'm always greeted when I come through the door here. My boyfriend has this supra craze so he absolutely loves this place and I appreciate them carrying Stussy, Puma, Nooka, Wesc, Toms and even some Keds! The store is small like several boutiques are but the racks are full of goodies and sometimes they have awesome sales where you can get up to 25-75% off depending on what color sticker is tagged on the item. Great shopping, one of the only places in Dallas where you can find established streetwear labels like Maharishi, 10 Deep, and Stussy. They also carry some dope footwear that you won't see on anyone else like Gram, ALIFE, and Supra. I understand what everyone is saying about not being helped right away but that happens everywhere. If you don't fit the customer demographic it's assumed you stumbled in window shopping. This boutique is a much-needed revitalizer for Mockingbird Station. I was so sad when Mesho closed! Also, I feel the area's became a little dead for shopping with the rise of NorthPark. Anyway, Centre's seems to restock often, is selective with the merch, and is really hip (maybe too hip... I get a little intimidated walking into the store). The items are pricey but right on par with the trends. If you're a hipster (which I am not) you will appreciate this store. I visited with the intent of buying "fly sneakers". Thankfully the employee didn't laugh at me and was really nice with helping me pick out a neat pair/explaining how to lace them. Centre is a cool little streetwear boutique in Mockingbird Station. They seem to be better setup with men's apparel than womens, and the kicks seem to lean more towards high tops than anything else, but the brands they carry are top notch--lotsa unique t-shits that you won't find in big box stores. Be sure to check out the sunglasses and watch displays. On my last visit, I was greeted promptly and dude even complimented me on my shirt, recognizing the print and brand. He pointed out their sale items and offered plenty of assistance, so I'd say customer service was above average. Dallas is lucky to have a store like this. read more

Dallas was the last bastion of streetwear in Texas for me. People expecting hand holding are just unfamiliar with these types of stores. Most regular customers go in knowing what they want. It's a scene, and of course clueless people get the cold shoulder. That's how sceney things work. Besides everything is up in browsable racks. They have Joyrich and MHI, which are scarcely found in Texas. And they have a better selection of 10.deep than most places. They don't carry Crooks or the Hundreds, but that could most certainly be a positive. Short quantities are a way of life in streetwear. I bought a sweatshirt in one size bigger than I was planning to, but it fits well, and that's just the breaks. Their vintage snapbacks are a godsend. Dealing with shipping hats can be a nightmare, and to have them in a physical storefront at a decent price is nothing short than a miracle. Most look factory fresh. My only complaint is that my sense of restraint prevented me from buying more than I did. The space did feel a bit cramped, especially for the number of lines they have. Also, carrying Munnies seems more than a bit pointless with the kidrobot shop right there. Their Nike account is weak to be honest, but Adikt has that covered, or Big Mikes. I could not care less about Alife (shoes) or Supra. Also, charging over retail is lame as hell. This is a hypebeast store, not a hipster store, not that many care to understand the distinction. I'd say this is my second favorite shop in Texas, but mostly for the snapbacks and a few of the brands. With Motive 807 closed, Premium Goods is THE spot in Texas for streetwear and sneakers. I appreciate Centre 214 in Dallas. Their product offerings give my wardrobe a more upbeat and urban look. I too don't fit their typical demographic but I do like a pair of hip sneakers with my lulu outfits. I placed an order online for the first time and I changed my mind about picking the shoes up in person. I called the store and the customer service I received was for sure thoughtful. The associate was able to change my shipping preference and didn't put off the rude vibe about the revision. The store even handled the shipping cost, which I was not expecting. I will definitely be going back to Centre to find more sneakers and cool Dallas shirts. read more
