what happened here? the level of customer service has gone awry. I have been a customer of this place for years, but a few weeks ago I was there for lunch with my wife and afterwards did a little shopping I ran into a nice gentleman in the Mens dept named Eli. I bought a couple of sportcoats, sweaters, shoes and 10 new shirts. all was full price not sale goods. the tailor fit the items and I was ready to go when I noticed the alterations were included except the shirts. I asked why that was and Eli said "that what corporate wants". I explained it wasn't the money I was concerned about but all was included except the shirts. I certainly wanted a better explanation than it what corporate wants. I asked for the manager and he made it worse by saying the same thing just with a rude attitude. I said keep the shirts and a few minutes later Eli called me to say they would now include the alterations. two and a half weeks go by and I called today to see if they were all ready which the said yes....was anybody going to call me to let me know?.....fast forward to today I went to pick it up and while I said I was done with NM I saw two pairs of shoes and a top that I wanted. a sale rep found the top and when I asked if he could help me with shoes he told me to go to the shoe dept and bring them to him.....really so I did like a schmuck and while I waited for him to bring my size back to me 10 minutes later I asked someone to find him and they told me he went on a lunch break........right in the middle of my purchase!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to this flagship store? it got to be leadership and I asked who was the manager and the said Rebecca was the store manager so I went to her office and apparently she doesn't work on Saturday. the biggest sales day of the week.......its true Rebecca if your absence dosent make a difference than neither does your presence. Its easier to steal the goods here at NM than to purchase them Im now and forever officially done with Neiman Marcus!!!! read more

My family was in Neimans on Black Friday and unfortunately people were in the store not wearing masks.  They have security that check when you enter at some doors, but no rules are implemented once in the store that we saw. We've been longtime supporters of Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills.  We will not return now.  Security and workers could very nicely ask customers to wear a mask. I reported this to a few workers and they ignored the request. So, they're enabling the minority of selfish people who don't want to obey the mandate?  I don't feel safe in Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills around non mask wearing, coughing people. Neimans has now lost their longtime customers for fear of implementing their own rules (and a state mandate!). Greed over safety... Bye Bye read more

This is my first and only bad review on Yelp. Neiman Marcus is the most fraudulent retail store I've encountered. I ordered a pair of shoes and sent them back immediately because they were too big. NM refused the return because they claimed they weren't in re-sellable condition. This is a lie because I returned them in the same condition I received. All I wanted was an exchange and they refused. The customer service staff was rude and unhelpful. Don't buy from Neiman Marcus - go somewhere else. read more

If you ever wanna feel poor, I say you come here. I guess the "associates" are not trained on how to associate with the "commoners" lol which I believe brings most of their income. I bought my first pair of Louboutin shoes and what a disappointment! They feel cheap, the box is ugly and dirty, no dust bag. The shoes have marks on the top and bottom like is a floor sample. We bought a pair of Adidas sneakers from the men's section on the top floor today. We would have shopped a lot more, but the experience was so bad that we cut our trip short. The sales never greeted us, made us wait multiple times, and didn't even say thanks to us. Every time we flagged him down, he acted annoyed. I called earlier in the day to ask about a pair of Gucci shoes and the person on the phone was super nice. They looked up my order and told me that they didn't have my pair in stock, but they had a similar style I could try on for sizing and they would order that shoe for me. I thanked them and told them I would be coming in later in the day. I got to the store itself and I was met with an incredibly rude staff. There was one female associate who looked at me, rolled her eyes, and then stood with her back to me even though I clearly needed help. I said, "Excuse me," two times and she just completely ignored me. Then another gentleman, Christian, came up to me and asked if I needed help. I explained that I was coming in to exchange a pair of shoes and was told I could try on another pair for size and it had been put aside for me. He looked at my shoes and said that he didn't have my pair nor any shoes like it. I told him again that I knew they didn't have the exact pair, but someone had put aside another style for me to try on. He claimed that he didn't have anything even similar to the boot I was exchanging until I pointed to a pair that was sitting in the display. He rolled his eyes and went to get me the pair. The entire time I was there he would cut me off when I was speaking and acted like I wasn't supposed to be there. I ended up just keeping the shoes because he was so rude and I didn't want to deal with it any longer. I was pleasantly surprised at the Beverly Hills location. I found the store "gets it". It is bright airy very pleasant and well stocked. Very much like Saks in NYC. I found the selection of men's clothing beginning to become a possibility. The restaurant on the Mens floor was lively and jumping. Too bad Neiman's didn't do that in the NYC Hudson yards store. Excellent customer service at this place. I had trouble securing a Chanel leather tote. I tried in Vegas (Wynn) Rodeo and even NYC all I received was a no because my husband's address on the license was different than the shipping address we've used for over a decade. They didn't care to look at the purchase history. One very nice lady told me to call Neiman Marcus so I did and finally Juan Carlos answered the phone and was able to secure the tote with the understanding that we will come in person to pick it up no problem. Now he is my advisor. I'm so happy with him and his manager. This Chanel also has access to all their inventory including fine jewelry. I wrote to Chanel in a survey how we've been treated with dates and names. The other stores need to step it up and treat people with respect. Neiman also has a great bar and delicious lunch with people seating around . I prefer Neiman over Saks even. Again customer service. read more

Neiman Marcus is my favorite online department store but this store in particular is the worst for customer service. I could easily go online and pick out the shoes I wanted, but instead I like the choice of talking to salespeople and trying shoes on. I walk in, i'm just in my casual wear (lululemon outfit, Nike airmax, a no logo Burberry Prorsum jacket, and my favorite Chloe purse). So there I am, standing there, holding up not one but two pairs of heels, I look straight ahead at the three salespeople chit chatting to each other and having a few laughs(not tending to anyone else), but they just glance back at me. I've never felt so disrespected by the way I dress before at a department store than at this one! I couldn't believe it! Like umm, what? Do you expect me to be in an Herve Leger dress covered in a granny ass Chanel jacket and tacky ass Christian louboutin pumps carrying the most gaudy Moschino purse? Please!! The only people that were being helped were young women in obvious name brand dresses and their older companions, or really really old ladies and their dated Crocodile Nancy Gonzalez handbags and a butt load of plastic surgery. Neiman Marcus is my favorite store, but with service like this I'll take my hard earned money elsewhere. Omgosh this place was so crowded during its shoe sales. I saw all kind of designer brand shoes here and it was kinda hard finding my size. They organized the shoes by size in different shoe racks and on top of tables. It was already messy when I got there because I was there pretty late. I love love love Neiman Marcus because they have good Manolo Blahnik sales. If you have giant feet (size 10 & up) then you are lucky. I had to settle with whatever left. I saw a pretty pair of Manolo and wasn't sure if I was going to keep them since it was kinda weird-in a good way. I did buy the shoes but ending up returning them a week later. Hands down, my favorite department store in Beverly Hills. I'd been eying the Givenchy Antigona in a neutral/nude/beige color for months, but waited too long to jump the gun. Now that we're in F/W season, that bag was nowhere to be found. Luckily, I came across one at Neiman Marcus and immediately purchased it, even though it was $500 more than their other Antigonas. My SA, Robert Hinkle, was a huge help in explaining the difference between the various leather varieties: grainy goat leather, smooth & shiny calfskin, and pebbled calfskin (the one I ended up purchasing). Robert was super friendly, personable, and made my shopping experience fast and easy. Previously, I'd gone to Saks, Barney's, and almost every department store in Beverly Hills and Costa Mesa and just couldn't find the perfect structured bag. I'm really happy I stepped into Neiman that day and now my beautiful bag is sitting in my bedroom, carefully stored in its dust bag 'cause I'm too scared to use it and ruin it's gorgeousness. As I pulled up to the valet alongside a brand new light gray RR I knew I was in for a treat. Today was my first visit to this location. The store is absolutely beautiful, with ample staffing of employees available to assist customers during a busy shopping season. On the main floor of NM bubbly drinks like Perrier and Champagne were being offered to shoppers which added to the excitement of shopping in such a luxurious store. I stopped in to visit the Creed Perfume boutique located in the cosmetics department to find a newly released fragrance. I really love how their cosmetics and perfume department is laid out, the brand counters are easily distinguishable making shopping easy and pleasurable. Wow! This is the new and improved Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus, where service is their middle name. Not only is everything beautifully and elegantly displayed in every department and all the various floors, but they've managed to hire such dedicated, diligent and truly passionate stuff. I was on a mission to buy a birthday gift and went to the men's cologne department on the top floor. I was greeted by Marc Bronson, a true perfume connoisseur. He was able to guide me through the various fragrances and direct me towards the appropriate one for the occasion and budget. He was patient and down-to-earth, not to mention extremely knowledgeable. I would've been completely lost had I not had his attention. He makes his clients feel special and important no matter if you're buying $1000 perfume, or $200 perfume. I would definitely go back to him over other sales people at Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom's, simply because of the amazing personal service he provided. I left having had some hearty laughs, a beautifully packaged gift bag, and headed off to the gorgeous bar on the top level to enjoy a cocktail on a relaxing Saturday afternoon. What can I say? There's always going to be a pretentious air that lingers at any Neiman Marcus. I'm never greeted, I get looked up and down by customers and sales associates alike, and customers usually treat me like I was a piece of furniture - pushing me aside and bumping into me to get where they needed to go. But really, after being to several different locations all across California, I would say I've had the best experience here. I bought a pair of Christian Louboutins from a woman named Jill, and though she wasn't the one who approached me as I was browsing, she seemed eager to help after I showed interest in making a purchase. She was very accommodating in that she even offered to fetch some water for my mama, and she bought out different sizes for me to try until I found one that I could comfortably slip into. In the end, she signed for our validation and gave us the entire day. The entire process took less than 10 minutes, and I was out and about on the streets again to finish shopping elsewhere. First of all, the staff are super rude they are not helpful at all and the person that was helping me with the shoes literally yelled at me for going to Dior and not being on the floor to try on the shoes they have brought out. I did tell him I'm going to have a look at Dior and will be back to try on the shoes, he was very rude and very mean. Idk why they keep having the staff despite many bad reviews about them but this is not the worst part. I spent over 10k at Dior when I went back to get my parking validated the person looked me in the eye and told me he will not validate as he didn't see me shopping like WTF. Right now, in a safe corner of my parents' house, there rests a pair of beautiful, expensive shoes from Neiman Marcus, stored for my wedding day next year. The sales associate assured us that we could return the shoes unworn at any time, but I suspect that I won't find a pair I like better. I've been inside this Neiman Marcus many, many times in the last ten years. When I was in high school, my mom decided to introduce me to the posh adult world, where I would have to walk straight and learn the proper way to use a fork and knife. One lesson was a mother-daughter lunch at Mariposa when I was sixteen or seventeen. On our way out, we stopped by a now defunct chocolate counter, where we purchased a couple $2 chocolates. Since then, this Neiman Marcus has represented a lot of things to me - fancy, shiny, grand things. I enjoy window shopping in Beverly Hills when such aimless activity is convenient, and Neiman Marcus is always a fun stop. The shoes and handbags are gorgeous, and the clothes lovely to look at with prices that render them unattainable, even, for the most part, on sale. In all my visits to Neiman Marcus, I believe I've only ever purchased lunch and chocolates and cosmetics and now, a pair of wedding shoes. (All of these things, I will note, gifts from my generous mother.) Customer service is decent. The sales associate who helped us with my shoes wasn't quite friendly, but he was polite and did his job well. I do wonder if he would've been more forthcoming if it were clearer from the beginning that we were interested in buying. If I had infinite money, I'd probably shop at Barneys before Neiman, but there's no denying that the goods at this department store represent top notch luxury. Goyard! The Goyard staff was friendly, knowledgeable about their items and helpful. Oh and they also validate parking tickets. The rest of the store is nice as well. I have never seen a store more organized then Neiman Marcus. You can ask any of the workers a question and they will help you there on the spot. Definately returning to this location. Parking is right behind the store...you will be able to enter only through Roxbury street. They also have valet. Best thing about this store is that it's next to just about everything (Barneys, Rodeo Dr., good spots to eat, etc.). read more

The customer service is just that CUSTOMER service! If I could hand out a diamond for every person that tried to help us, my ring would be bare. I expect nothing less in my lovely town, but it still is a shock when people are actually friendly and don't seem to be putting on airs, even though they are salespeople. I have found that in many boutiques around Rodeo Dr. that the salespeople seem to act entitled, like they are not service providers but owners of the store. (It was the same in South Coast Plaza when I managed a boutique there, they all seem to have higher opinions of themselves when we were just merely servants in a boutique.) Not here, they are so friendly and eager to help. Not to mention that the items that they stock are just beautiful to boot. The menu choices are okay and the food came out just alright (for the price you pay, i would expect a bit more). I def. recommend Mariposa (the restaurant in the basement) though.
