Neiman Marcus did a promotion of a gift card based on the size of the purchase. The email with the gift card linked showed up over a month later, with no indication of an expiration date in the email. Only when you click the external website to use your gift card number does it show an expiration date. A call to gift card services was no help - my $100 gift card was no longer usable. I believe that Neiman Marcus is deliberately trying to trick people into not using the promised gift cards. Such horrible customer service - I will not be shopping at Neiman Marcus stores ever again. read more

I went to buy a perfume for my husband and the store clerks were busy chatting with one another and we felt like they could care less if we lived or died. I could have bought the perfume online but we decided to go to the store because I'd been to the one at Milenia in Orlando and even though I didn't spend that much the associate was really nice to me and even gave me some samples. We also went because at the time, there was a promo for a gift card if you spend over 250, the perfume was almost 400 and when I asked the store clerk about the promo they gave me a look. They said "the gift card would take two weeks to arrive, are you sure you want to wait for $50? I said yes because I will not be shamed for claiming THE STORE's OFFER. And they seemed very bothered by having to write down my name and address. It's been a few months and I never got my gift card. I know I'm not spending thousand of dollars like many other people do. Very rude, disrespectful, unprofessional employee named Antionette @ client services should find another job where she doesn't have to be curtious and attentive to customers spending almost $1,000 on products. I simply called over because I left something at the store and check if it was there for them to hold it for me, she was making it an issue, kept being rude, and not helpful whatsoever. I probably asked about 10 times who is the manager, she refused to answer my questions, and kept putting me on hold. Finally, she told me the manager was Phil and he was available but attending another customer at the moment which is contradictory because then he wouldn't be available. She then said, we have many other managers, my question was: if there is so many, why is there no one available to speak to me right now? She kept speaking over me and continued to put me on hold mid-conversation. Lastly, verbatim, she said "I can't deal with this right now" and clicked the phone call. Word of advice Antionette, if you can't deal with customer services / relations either find a new job where you it is okay to not have any manners and do & say whatever you please. This review is mainly for the Chanel counter. I was invited to a makeup special. I told them in advance I had to bring my child with me since it was cutting close to the time it was going to end. They said it was fine. And it was! Once I arrived, they offered me and my kid water. He had his own station where he sat and colored as I was getting done up. I ended up purchasing some makeup and was in and out within an hour. Everyone was lovely and professional. Very kind people and I had a great time. Again, my review is only for the Chanel counter. Once I was done, we went straight home and didn't walk throughout the store. Parking is a bit of a mess. You have the choice of either valet or self-parking. I chose self-parking. It does get super crowded rather quickly so driver beware. read more

Don't get me wrong Neiman is great when is comes to shopping but there promo deals are a massive headache to deal with. Customer service is terrible. I've used the app to chat with customer service and they told me they cannot help. The gift card services told me to call in store and we're no help unless they had a receipt that they expected me to have handy when it time has slapped going on 13 weeks since my purchase. When I called in store no one even knew if they could help me and still had to call me back the next day. And I didn't give up, I kept pursuing for 6 weeks here and there and specifically bought them for the promo and so I tried getting a status and even when I did at one point, I had no luck receiving my gift card when someone did verify my gift card was for filled. I placed an order online last week for one a bottle of cologne that was on sale. Well, the package arrived yesterday, but there was no cologne in the box, only some samples. I called Nieman Marcus today and was told that they ran out of the cologne. So I asked them if they could please apply the discount to a different sized bottle of the same cologne, but they said they couldn't do that. I would think Neiman Marcus would try and make their customers happy, especially if NM is at fault. It's not the consumers fault that Nieman Marcus is selling products online thay they don't have in stock. If there is a telephone number that I will remember from memory until I take my last breath, it is Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills. I have been a NM customer my entire life - both in Dallas and Beverly Hills. I returned to find a beautifully renovated store that is virtually void of both customer service and actual customers. I was shopping for two things I want for my birthday: Golden Goose sneakers and a Balenciaga bifold. I barely left with a parking validation. As I walked through the shoe department, I saw one SA, a Black woman, who worked at NM for years. No acknowledgement whatsoever. I have my own SAs, but if they were off, I would have gladly shopped with her. I saw another SA I have known since he worked in the men's department (he has been there at least 15, if not nearly 20 years). He handed the shoes I wanted to a very nice lady who brought 2:3 pairs I chose. Anyone who knows Golden Goose knows they usually look dirty, although brand new, but they have a newer style that is white and pristine. I chose one of the newer style and 2 of the traditional GGDB style. I tried on the traditional GGDB shoe. It was ok. The white pair was GORGEOUS. When I went to try on both shoes, I noticed the right shoe was laced too tight to try on and the top of the shoe as well as the lace looked dirty (this pair is supposed to be super clean). I turned the shoes over and the soles were BLACK! Someone wore them (clearly multiple times), returned them and rather than damage them out, whoever accepted the return put one shoe on display and the other in the box for resale. $530 + tax sneakers and they were USED. I was sick. All I could do is grab my hand sanitizer and sterilize my hands. The traditional 'dirty' GGDB pair was new. No sole damage/wear. But when I tried on both shoes, they were MISMATCHED. One was gold, the other was silver. That pair was either $600 or close to it. What the hell?!. I wanted to inform either SA about the mismatched pair after I informed them about the used pair. They took off, so I left. I love Punky Brewster, but I won't be dressing like her... any more. Lol I went to the women's Balenciaga bag section. No bifold. No one bothered to help or direct me to the men's department, where it may have been. Looked at Prada bags and saw a couple of cute designs. (Not really into Prada, but they have some really cute reissues.) Gerald G. is the perfect representative for the brand. He should be promoted. I didn't purchase a bag, but I will return for a future purchase. The Chanel department was adjacent to Prada. There are ropes in front of some departments as to maintain social distance. Not a problem. 1 SA, a woman and two men across from her were in Chanel. I was told the SA would be with me in a minute or 2. Well, after standing there for an extended period of time, I left. I didn't stand in line at clubs. I won't be having my time wasted to look at flap bags. I'll just visit the actual Chanel store (or Saks) where customer service exists and the people want your business. NM can have it. I shopped at this place daily and weekly for more years that I can tell you. I was one of the last of the Mohicans (OG shoppers). If I want something in the future, I will do what I've been doing - order online, likely from a company out of the country and receive it in 2-days. Bye, Neiman. It's been real. read more

My sales associate was so professional and knowledgable, even with other brands I was open to buying she would suggest that I should pass on certain brands. Not snobby at all. After a long hiatus, I visited the store with a friend who was visiting LA from out of town and we had a lovely time. Emily in cosmetics is amazing! From the moment she saw us, she made it her mission to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. She immediately was able to tune into my style and what I like and she introduced me to some fabulous products. She is truly a top notch hospitality person who loves what she does. She also has excellent style! Thank you Emily! We had lunch at Bar on 4 and the server with the mullet and mustache was wonderful. He provided excellent service and was friendly and kind. Review dated October 1, 2014: New owners at NM (as of 9/9/14) so out with the old and, hopefully, in with the new. The entire lower level is closed until January of 2015, so goodbye for now to childrens, candy, home goods, furniture and the beloved Mariposa Restaurant, one of my favorite lunch spots in Beverly Hills. Instead, for lunch, it's up to FreshMarket on Level 3 (nice lunch but no popovers or consumme) or The Bar on Level 4 in the men's department (super hot bartenders/servers and beautiful cougar guests). The store continues to deliver on all levels. Easy in and out free parking behind the store, and an accommodating staff that will remember you after just one visit. One of the prettiest stores in LA and a great place to contemplate your aspirational purchases. Ladies, for bags, see Mark O on the first floor. He is what Neiman's is all about! read more

Wedding shoes!!! I ordered my Valentino wedding shoes through Neiman Marcus but it ended up being too big on my feet. Went to the store and browsed in the sale section before returning my shoes. Noticed that a lot of the "sale" items were $300 and up. Wow, and that's considered the sale section? I couldn't find anything I liked so I ventured to the Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin section. Nope. Didn't like any of their styles. Walked around a bit and finally gave up. I approached the sales person and told him I wanted to return my shoes. He asked what kind of outfit I'll be wearing with the shoes. I told him a wedding dress. After being led to the Valentino section, I found two different styles I liked. They were both on sale. He said that the online shoes sale is different from the actual store sale and both carries different sizes. Luckily I found THE SHOE I fell in love with! Online was $995. It happened to be the first shoes I really liked but didn't want to pay so much. I was happy that these were on sale at the store! I saved $300! Customer service is 5 stars considering it IS Neiman Marcus. You just sit there and the sales person will pretty much do everything for you. They have a wide variety of high end brand name shoes at the sales rack. If you're looking for shoes for any occasion, skip Nordstrom or Bloomingdales. Those department stores selection of shoes were equivalent to Macys! Skip all that nonsense and just shop at NM! read more

what happened here? the level of customer service has gone awry. I have been a customer of this place for years, but a few weeks ago I was there for lunch with my wife and afterwards did a little shopping I ran into a nice gentleman in the Mens dept named Eli. I bought a couple of sportcoats, sweaters, shoes and 10 new shirts. all was full price not sale goods. the tailor fit the items and I was ready to go when I noticed the alterations were included except the shirts. I asked why that was and Eli said "that what corporate wants". I explained it wasn't the money I was concerned about but all was included except the shirts. I certainly wanted a better explanation than it what corporate wants. I asked for the manager and he made it worse by saying the same thing just with a rude attitude. I said keep the shirts and a few minutes later Eli called me to say they would now include the alterations. two and a half weeks go by and I called today to see if they were all ready which the said yes....was anybody going to call me to let me know?.....fast forward to today I went to pick it up and while I said I was done with NM I saw two pairs of shoes and a top that I wanted. a sale rep found the top and when I asked if he could help me with shoes he told me to go to the shoe dept and bring them to him.....really so I did like a schmuck and while I waited for him to bring my size back to me 10 minutes later I asked someone to find him and they told me he went on a lunch break........right in the middle of my purchase!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to this flagship store? it got to be leadership and I asked who was the manager and the said Rebecca was the store manager so I went to her office and apparently she doesn't work on Saturday. the biggest sales day of the week.......its true Rebecca if your absence dosent make a difference than neither does your presence. Its easier to steal the goods here at NM than to purchase them Im now and forever officially done with Neiman Marcus!!!! read more

Excellent customer service at this place. I had trouble securing a Chanel leather tote. I tried in Vegas (Wynn) Rodeo and even NYC all I received was a no because my husband's address on the license was different than the shipping address we've used for over a decade. They didn't care to look at the purchase history. One very nice lady told me to call Neiman Marcus so I did and finally Juan Carlos answered the phone and was able to secure the tote with the understanding that we will come in person to pick it up no problem. Now he is my advisor. I'm so happy with him and his manager. This Chanel also has access to all their inventory including fine jewelry. I wrote to Chanel in a survey how we've been treated with dates and names. The other stores need to step it up and treat people with respect. Neiman also has a great bar and delicious lunch with people seating around . I prefer Neiman over Saks even. Again customer service. read more

Not only can he look at your feet and suggest the perfect slide ... mule ... espadrille ... strapy heel that will fit YOUR feet - but he is charming and funny and really knows the brands. I thought he was French because his accent is beautiful - non non - he's actually from Brazil! So charming. Yes, I indulged for my birthday and bought several pair. My family was in Neimans on Black Friday and unfortunately people were in the store not wearing masks.  They have security that check when you enter at some doors, but no rules are implemented once in the store that we saw. We've been longtime supporters of Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills.  We will not return now.  Security and workers could very nicely ask customers to wear a mask. I reported this to a few workers and they ignored the request. So, they're enabling the minority of selfish people who don't want to obey the mandate?  I don't feel safe in Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills around non mask wearing, coughing people. On the lookout for a fast disappearing, wondering if it's going to be discontinued YSL lipstick. Walked into NM & asked the sales associate if she had it in stock. She looked it up on some kind of spreadsheet. After about 15 seconds or so, she looked up & apologized, "it looks like we don't carry this anymore. I'll be happy to call another NM for you", which she did. She even called Saks' 5th Ave. next door too. The sales associate next to her, a man, offered to call Barney's for this lipstick & no they didn't have it either. Quick, respectful, exceptional service I thought to myself. Not at all pretentious like a date I went on with once, a man who claimed to have a bro-in-law who was top of the line @ NM. i wandered over to their most lavish shoe collection. This luxurious shoe assortment to me is the snazziest that L.A. has to offer. The sticker prices on a few of these women's soles were over $1500, some exceeded $2,000. I saw 1 pair of high heeled snakeskin sandals, hey, it was less than $700. Elegant shoes, flat, classy, pointed shoes. Frilly, embellished, striped & even polka dotted shoes. In the dazzling shoe dept. one woman's somewhat flamboyant, handheld dog spotted another dog with all 4's on the floor. The handheld dog barked at the floor dog. The handheld dog's owner repeatedly shushed her dog to minimal effect! Since when did the shoe dept. become the new dog park? Hee Hee. Perhaps they need to acquire the services of TV personality & famous author, dog trainer, Cesar Millan. With the downstairs cacophony in full swing, I headed to a quieter getaway - upstairs, the lingerie dept. Great sale, I just didn't have the patience to sort through the extensive goldmine here. After shifting elsewhere on the floor, through contemporary women's brands, I decided to return downstairs. I spritzed on some perfume, body cream & "window shopped." After another hour in which I shopped around more, I decided I liked the perfume's fragrance. I noticed the body creme had a deeper note than the perfume. The sales associates were very helpful, one gave me a free pink bag & the other stockpiled fragrance samples inside along with the body creme.
