I emailed Factory Pro and Marc got back to me right away. He told me to get a PCV and if I wanted it really dialed in, a fuel controller module to pair with it. I bought both and delivered my bike w/ parts to FP. About 4 days later Marc called and said, "it's ready, and it's running really well!" I rolled up there the next day and took it for a test ride, and he wasn't lying! Holy S**T! It felt like an entirely new motorcycle. The throttle delivery was smooth at all RPMs and I could tell right away that it was breathing better and had more power. It was low on fuel after the dyno runs they did, so I took it to get gas. When I merged onto the freeway I gave it the beans and took off with the front wheel waving in the wind! No clutch, and in 3rd gear, it easily wheelied under 3/4 acceleration. Needless to say, I was stoked! I got back, thanked the crew for their excellent work and loaded the bike for home. Factory Pro was quick, extremely professional, reasonably priced, and they know how to properly tune motorcycles. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.

Edit 9/16: I finally graduated to having my own bike, and I definitely wanted to give NorCal Cycles…read moremy business! Took my bike for its first service here (and generally my first experience at a moto service shop), and got to interact with this side of the shop now. Freddie is an awesome guy and helped me get my service scheduled and kept me informed throughout the process. Both break-in service and some additional accessory install that I requested were done, and I'm happy with the work. I'll definitely be back here for my future motorcycle needs! Edit 7/11: rental #3 done! Honda Rebel 500 this time around, really great machine to ride! I love that this one came equipped with a wind deflector which helped with comfort riding on the freeway. Definitely nicer having the parallel twin over the single, really enjoyed my ride! As always, it's a pleasure to interact with my favorite people at the store. Nini, Henry, Freddie, Anthony, the whole crew... yall are awesome! I'm happy to have a preferred local motorcycle shop in the books. Looking forward to giving them my business when it's time for servicing my own bike -- Edit 6/20: rental #2 done! Honda Rebel 300, perfect bike for a beginner with short legs. Again what a great experience interacting with an all-star team. Nini, Henry, Freddie, it always feels good to be at the shop and interact with them. Really great people to talk to, I've learned so much from them talking through my ride, what I've learned and could improve on, and generally just progression with my motorcycle journey. Being a returning customer, you do get discounts on the base rate, and I'm looking forward to my third one I'm planning for next month! -- 5/24: I'm editing and reposting my 5-star review with way more details now that I have firsthand experience of renting a motorcycle from there, and just how blown away I was by the overall experience. tl;dr -- local area intimidated total beginner squid had a very good overall first experience renting a moto and getting on the road for real As a brand new rider fresh off my M1 endorsement, I came in more nervous than I'd like to admit. Nini at the front desk was absolutely perfect for the job imo: compassionate, reassuring, and exactly what a first-timer needs before throwing a leg over a bike for the first time for real. Freddie and Henry were great too, really easy dudes to talk to and very helpful with sharing tips and other pointers for me. I'll be honest, I dropped the bike an equal number of times on both sides over the weekend, all at zero mph (embarassing af). Symmetrically bruised ego, perfectly balanced. Returning it felt intimidating, but the whole team handled it with zero judgment and genuine professionalism. I didn't try to hide anything and they made the whole process painless, albeit with some monetary penalties caused by my inexperience (I own up to this though). I'm leaving with my wallet lighter but with my heart genuinely fuller for the experience. The environment this shop creates for nervous beginners like me is genuinely rare, and it made me feel supported and motivated to come back and do better next time. Will absolutely be back for my next rental and keep getting ride time in, because real experience gained like I did is priceless. The human element of the shop is just cherry on top, and makes me feel good I'm supporting a local business. Shoutout to Nini, Freddie, and Henry. You made a squid feel welcome.

After riding for a few weeks, I noticed my forks were leaking oil, so I took it to Nor Cal Cycles for a repair. From the moment I walked in, Alfie greeted me and made me feel welcomed. He took the time to listen to my concerns and scheduled an appointment for me to drop off my bike. About a week later, Alfie reached out with some honest recommendations, including changing my tires which I happily agreed to. His honesty and kindness are truly refreshing in today's world. Where finding folks who take pride in what they do a bit tough. Alfie also shared with me additional advice about my bike once I came to pick it up, which was great. A huge thank you to the entire Nor Cal crew, and especially to Alfie for making this experience so smooth. I'll definitely be returning!

Absolutely Worth the 2-Hour Drive - Best Dealership Experience Ever!…read more I had been hunting online for a Street Triple RS for what felt like forever. Everywhere I looked, sellers were asking new bike prices for bikes with sky-high mileage--totally unreasonable. Then I found Factory Powersports. I messaged Juan about a bike they had, and right from the start, everything felt different. Straightforward, honest, and helpful. I made the trip down from the Bay Area, cash in hand, and wrapped up the paperwork with Rebecca in just 30 minutes. No games. No pressure. Just fair pricing, knowledgeable staff, and a dealership that actually respects your time. This is exactly how every dealership should operate. Worth every mile of the drive--I'd do it again in a heartbeat

My partner has been looking to purchase quad for a new property she just purchased, so we came in to see what they carried. First off, the entrance to the parking lot is a little funky. They try to make it one way in and one way out. The parking lot entrance is actually around the corner on Carrillo St. (small side street) and the exit is on Cleveland Ave. (larger, main street). You would think the entrance would be on the larger street and exit on the smaller street, but it's the opposite, so if you are driving on Cleveland Ave. towards College Ave. and miss Carrillo St., you will need to turn back around. As for the store itself, they have a good selection of motorcycles, power crafts, ATVs and accessories. The thing that this place is lacking is customer service which seems to be the theme when I read other reviews. When you walk in, no one greets you. There was an employee sitting at the desk doing some paperwork, looks up as we walk in, but there was no greeting. As we were browsing the inventory, no one came by help or ask if we had questions. When we walked out, again no acknowledgement that we may be potential customers. I'm sure if they had better customers service, their business would be much better.
