The best place in the Bay Area to get parts and service for classic British motorcycles.

I purchased a brand new 2021 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 from East Bay Motor, along with an extended…read morewarranty. After only 42 hours of use, the engine failed. From that point, the experience was unacceptable. The jet ski sat at their facility for 10 months, left outside and uncovered, exposed to the elements. There was no urgency, no communication, and no basic care for customer property. Instead of standing behind the product, they pushed me to pay $9,500+ for a replacement engine, despite the extremely low hours. They also supported a claim that the spark plug in the engine was not original at the time of failure ,which is not accurate and this contributed directly to the denial of both warranty and insurance. Because I lost trust, I sourced my own replacement engine (18 hours) and shipped it to them. It then took another 3 months just to install it. When I picked up the jet ski: * The trailer hitch was damaged * The electrical adapter was missing * The cooling system had 0% coolant (which could have destroyed the engine again immediately) * My new lithium battery was missing, replaced with an old 2020 battery * The jet pump assembly was shaking, indicating improper installation I was told missing items would be sent to me. Nothing was sent. After waiting over a month, I had to purchase everything myself. Now I have to take the jet ski to another shop to correct the issues. Bottom line: This was not just poor service -- it was negligence, lack of accountability, and unprofessional handling of a major repair. I strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting this shop with your equipment.

Each person associated with the business that I interacted with was great. They answered all my questions, and made it a worry free experience. They offer delivery, and the while process was straightforward and easy. The actual store was really cool, with tons of bikes on display. The use of shipping containers was cool too! It's been a while since I purchased the bike and wanted to wait a while before leaving a review, just in case. Everything with the bike has been great, and I've been enjoying it ever since. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

If you're looking to service your current motorcycle/scooter or buy a new one I highly recommend…read moretalking with Mike or Ben at Moto Java. I've been riding scooters for 20 years in SF as my main transportation for work. 18 months ago I was referred to Moto Java because my scooter was about to die and I'd need a replacement soon. Mike, Ben and their team at Moto Java gave me an honest assessment about what needed to be fixed, gave me an itemized invoice showing me it'd be better I traded my old scooter for parts and bought something new. They appreciated I was an experienced rider, knew what I wanted and didn't try to oversell me on something I didn't want and gave me a fair price for my trade in. My previous scooter dealers/mechanics have given me a wide range of mileage for routine maintenance. Mike and Ben gave me an easy, clear number to remember so I bring my scooter in for routine maintenance based on the specific scooter I bought. Every time I call for an appointment Moto Java gets me in fast and finishes earlier than estimated. They also give me an itemized receipt of what was done and a heads up to what the next maintenance bill will cost so I'm not caught off guard. My review is based on my scooter that I bought from Moto Java. However I know they sell and service and sell a variety of motorcycles like long range highway motorcycles to mountain bikes to scooters. Moto Java is easily accessible off S Van Ness. Mike and Ben are always up for a chat about what they sell, no pressure sales and offer honest estimates about any repairs you might need. Definitely check out Moto Java.

I Do NOT recommend . First off I went in because I needed tires, I had a blow out in my rear tire and decided to just get both replaced. So, the tires were a little pricey and the labor charge was insane. But I value quality over price so I went for it. The tires are terrible (Michelin) it doesn't seem balanced and it just doesn't feel right. Usually with new tires I get this secure sensation when I ride ( not this time) Secondly, they were pitching me on other services that I found strange because I just had them done at a school with an instructor. Thirdly, on my way home, my storage box fell off my bike on the freeway, when I went back, they claimed they hadn't touched it, it was odd to me because, I ride everyday and had no issues. Lastly, instead of apologizing, I get a mechanic yelling at me saying i was at fault. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told that he lives out of state. After all this mess I spent hours reading past reviews and found that others had similar experiences, but my biggest takeaway was how the owner/s replied to some of the commentators. I found it defensive, rude and never taking accountability, always deflecting the bad service or work they've done. Truth is truth, my review is based on my horrendous experience I had at this place of so called business.

In my own experience I bought a tire and I paid for the installation , I noticed that they applied a bunch of Vaseline petroleum jelly all around the tire so quickly and without asking me for approval, I didn't ask why since they claim to be professionals., as soon as I left the shop and I tried to make a right turn l felt to the right without warning, the bike felt on top of my right leg in the middle of the street trapping my leg, breaking m right side mirror and my front brake. I couldn't get up but none of the employ or that shorty owner of the shop came to help or at least come and see f I was OK. One of thei customer helped me lift the bike so that I can get my leg out of it, but if I hadn't ask for help I don't know for how long I would have remained laying down in the middle of the street in front of their shop , risking my self getting hit by a car, I bro the bike back inside the shop and had them install a brand new brake lever and a mirror, I asked them why they put grease on the tires even if they are used tires, and they said it was mandatory to do that to all tires sales.
