Late to the party on Yelp. Chad and Daniel built a sporty for me a few years back. The guys were a huge advocate for me with some vendor issues but thanks to them we got through it. The build turned out great, the bike rips and I couldn't be happier. Long of the short is that these are great dudes to interface with, they do good work, are straight forward and most importantly, honest. Can't recommend these guys enough. They take care of the customer and offer great value for what you get. Take your bike here.

Picked up a 95 Springer and needed a safety check and tune up. In addition we went over everything and ended up updating wheels, handlebars, and a few odds and ends with their help and expertise to fit my riding style and comfort. The tune up and performance was night and day difference, plus it became more nimble. They've been very friendly and helpful when I call or stop by with questions and are flexible for scheduling. SR is my Harley's go-to 100%.

Chad and Daniel are hands down the best Harley mechanics in town. There is no BS here, just top notch work done quickly. I highly recommend!

This is a review for Moto Exchange (new name for Rockridge Two Wheels)…read more These folks are fantastic. I had bought a used BV350 and discovered the oil filter door screws had been completely stripped. I had inquired at another shop and was told it was too risky to fix with the state of the screws. That it was likely once the door was removed it would not reattach and this would require replacing the whole engine casing and once you take into account parts/labor cost etc etc it would cost more than what the bike is worth. I was in the mindset that I was now riding this bike until it inevitably dies. Flashforward to now, and I take it into Moto Exchange for what Im thinking is its last oil change before the end. And I'm telling Alex about the stripped screws, I ask if he can take look on the faint hope that maybe they think something can be done. But I am not optimistic. Luckily for me the mechanics at Moto Exchange are top notch and were able to put in inserts so the oil filter door could safely reattach. After a full service and repairs of some other discovered leaks, my BV is running like new. ------- Very friendly and accessible vibes in the shop. Everything was clearly explained and I found communication to be excellent over the week or so it took to fully repair my bike. They called anytime there was a potential change or update to the repair job, explained clearly, and asked for explicit sign off. 10/10 experience.

The business is about as old school SF as you could hope for; an honest breath of fresh air. Christina (hope I remembered her name correctly) is incredibly organized and communicative. On my last visit, Danny (one of the technicians) really went the extra mile on my behalf. I Do NOT recommend . First off I went in because I needed tires, I had a blow out in my rear tire and decided to just get both replaced. So, the tires were a little pricey and the labor charge was insane. But I value quality over price so I went for it. The tires are terrible (Michelin) it doesn't seem balanced and it just doesn't feel right. Usually with new tires I get this secure sensation when I ride ( not this time) Secondly, they were pitching me on other services that I found strange because I just had them done at a school with an instructor. Thirdly, on my way home, my storage box fell off my bike on the freeway, when I went back, they claimed they hadn't touched it, it was odd to me because, I ride everyday and had no issues. Lastly, instead of apologizing, I get a mechanic yelling at me saying i was at fault. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told that he lives out of state. After all this mess I spent hours reading past reviews and found that others had similar experiences, but my biggest takeaway was how the owner/s replied to some of the commentators. I found it defensive, rude and never taking accountability, always deflecting the bad service or work they've done. Truth is truth, my review is based on my horrendous experience I had at this place of so called business.

STAY AWAY. DON'T GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS…read more THEY ARE CREEPS. I was thinking about an old girlfriend, who is having a bad time now with addiction. When she and I lived together, our way around was on my 1970 Triumph Trophy. That bike didn't help anything between us! They nicknamed Lucas Electrics "The Prince of Darkness" for good reasons! We left the Bay Area, and I returned years later alone. I decided to rebuild the top end, and I found a nice cylinder head to replace the one I had. At that time, leaded gas wasn't being sold, and recessed exhaust valve seats were an issue, so I had a nice head to work with. It took them forever to bead blast the head: they didn't get it done when they had said it would be done. I was working more than full time, and using my van to get around, which was in such bad shape that I had to avoid any hills around San Francisco (or get a running start). The shop finally called and said the head was ready- much later than they had promised it. I didn't have any time, within their shop hours, to go pick it up, and I didn't have time for much of anything, unlike when I expected the head to be finished. When I was able to make it over to the shop, they had doubled the cost of the work with "storage fees"! I told them that the job wasn't done when they said it would be done, and that I refuse to pay any extra. Mr. tough guy got all big and puffy and he told me that he wouldn't return my property unless I paid what he wanted, which I refused again, and then he took a swing at me and hit me! They live up to their name: don't give them anything... there are other places to go for what you want, so go to them.

My review of this business is long overdue, but I believe it is important to share my experience so…read morethat other Ducati owners can make informed decisions. Several months ago, I brought my Ducati 800SS to this shop for service. The work performed included an oil and filter change, cam belt replacement, safety inspection, and other maintenance items, for a total cost of more than $1,400. At the time, I was recovering from multiple eye surgeries and was unable to ride the motorcycle myself. A neighbor assisted me by transporting the bike to and from the shop. When the service was completed, Lawrence contacted me to arrange pickup. I explained that I needed time to coordinate transportation with my neighbor. He informed me that if the motorcycle was not picked up within two days, storage fees of $150 per day would be charged. Given my medical circumstances, I found this response disappointing and lacking flexibility. After retrieving the motorcycle, I immediately noticed that it was not running properly. The bike lacked power and did not shift smoothly between gears. I contacted Lawrence and was advised to continue riding it, with the expectation that the issues would resolve themselves. After approximately one month, the problems persisted. When I called again to discuss the situation, I felt my concerns were dismissed, despite explaining that I had recently undergone a cornea transplant and had limited ability to ride the motorcycle. I requested that the shop inspect the bike and address the issues, but was told I would need to pay for additional diagnostic work. Since the motorcycle had not been operating correctly following the service, I was disappointed that there was no willingness to verify whether the issues were related to the work that had been performed. As a result, I sought a second opinion from another Ducati specialist. During their inspection, they found that the throttle bodies were out of synchronization and that the fuel lines had deteriorated. After replacing the fuel filter and fuel lines and correcting the throttle body synchronization, the motorcycle ran exceptionally well and performed like new. Based on my experience, I found the customer service lacking, felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, and was disappointed by the shop's unwillingness to stand behind its work. While others may have had different experiences, I cannot recommend this business based on my own.
