It took me 4 months and calls to 11 businesses from San Fran to San Jose. Before i learned about this amazing awesome place. I called expecting ro be turned down like all the other local shops. So when they said, "sure, we'll take a look at it." I was both excited and relieved. Rodrigo was always keeping me updated and informed on the process. 2 months later and $1,000 later when he informed me they had fixed all the electrical issues and the headlight. I felt so appreciative and grateful towards this group of people that had the patience and knowledge to fix what I believed was a unsolvable issue. I shall return for regular maintenance and upkeep. If you have a motorcycle 10 years or older this is the place, they guarantee their work and they a backlog of work so make an appointment to drop off your bike. Had a fuel clog issue that was not an easy fix but they put me on the right track for dealing with a rust issue and fuel tank liner that was disintegrating. I got into an accident a few years back, and my Yamaha R3 2015 has been sitting in a garage for a few years. I had to replace the battery myself to make it run again. I took it for a test ride, and it seemed fine. However, I wanted a mechanic to look at it to ensure it was safe on the road. I found DNA lab on Yelp and decided to give them a chance. I emailed them about my situation, and they got back to me the same day. I then set a date to bring my bike for a safety inspection. All I have to say is their customer service is how all customer interaction should be. They were friendly and helpful. I felt welcome at the place. The safety inspection took less than an hour, so they decided not to charge me full price!! The mechanic checked my bike for leaks, the breaks, fluids, and even wheels and tires. Fortunately, everything was up to standards. I thought I would get an extensive list of recommendations with pricey estimates like I previously did with other mechanics. But these guys are honest and will only recommend things IF you really need them. Overall, I will definitely return here to get my Yamaha serviced when it's time. Awesome shop. Reliable, friendly, thorough, and dependable. Had a tire change, rearsets added, removal of passenger pegs, and a bolt added that was a pain. Keep in mind I tried doing everything myself but the bolts were tight and the last thing I needed was to strip anything. The bike came back looking like a champ and everything adjusted to my request. DNA motor Lab just fixed my DR650that did not run for 3 years. Rodrigo the owner picked it up and dropped it off at my house. He was very nice and listened to my concerns and gave me good seasoned advice about what they could do and how to prevent the same mechanical issues that got me here in the first place. They were really attentive to my concerns and patient with hearing me out. Prompt service as promised, and even let me add a chain service which was something I didnt originally ask for. I had some services done by them and they let my bike go with my oil pressure light ON! I noticed this and immediately returned my bike & was told to ride it for about 5-10 minutes and the light should go off , im new to the motorcycle scene & i told rodrigro everything about my bike & he agreed to give me a diagnostic ( i never said i WOULDNT pay for it ) i never received the diagnostic so my bike eneded up breaking down & burning out on my way to work ,, so they just put new parts on all old pieces didnt do no cleaning didn't even empty my old oil just played me out my money $400. TERRIBLE BUSINESS I DON'T SUGGEST IT especially if you are a new rider & black/African American the mechanic clearly shows his bias for us but they will get there karma! I don't even wanna rate 1 star. There very disrespectful & don't care about there customers. This is the best motorcycle shop in the area, bar none. All of the staff is very friendly and engaged. All the techs care about each bike they work on. The crew there is focused on doing each job right, and keeping the bike owner informed. They are very busy, but give each job their undivided attention. So you know your bike is being treated well. I've had them work on two different bikes an '07 Vulcan and a '99 Valkyrie. Two very different bikes, but they've taken care of both perfectly each time. DNA Motor Lab is an excellent motorcycle repair shop that specializes in repairing older motorcycles. This review summarizes my second positive experience with them. My 1998 Honda Superhawk was in need of repair. A cam chain tensioner failure resulted in a loud tapping sound from one of the cylinders. Fearful of a bent valve I asked DNA to diagnose the damage. Fortunately they determined the chain had just slipped a tooth without damaging the valves and other motor components. While examining the motor, Woody noticed the valves needed adjustment. In addition, he realized the stock carb jets were not optimal for the bike because I have aftermarket exhausts on the bike and a high-flow air filter. He re-timed the motor, replaced the cam chain tensioners, replaced the carb jets with more appropriate ones, adjusted the valves and tuned the bike to perfection. The bottom line is the motor went from a poorly running mess to one that is tuned perfectly. Now the bike runs like it is new. DNA's owner, Rodrigo, was very communicative during the repair process and billed very fairly. It is clear to me these guys love motorcycles! read more

Really poor customer service from Jeena and Patrick. Will not return. First they quote you one price. Then they receive your bike and call you and chance the price. This was a tire change not a mechanical job. When I called back to ask Jeena if she could explain again why they were adding charges; she continued to explain and got defensive and said you can pick up your bike and go take it somewhere else. Dropped my R1 for a very simple set of services: tires, spark plugs, engine air filter, and coolant drain - replaced by distilled water and "water wetter". During the ride home bike was running VERY hot. Thought it might be just the conversion to water and my tune fan control being incorrect. Sadly, couldn't look into it till today, as I was on business on the east coast. What did I find? Coolant system WAY under serviced. Overflow is bone dry. Radiator is at least an inch from full, if not more. Lucky life got in the way of me taking it to the track, or I would be picking up the pieces of a very second hand motor. I took my newly acquired '07 Honda ST1300 in for adding some accessories (heated grips, DVR, GPS) plus an overall inspection and service. The DVR install wasn't a standard ask, so it did require some research on their part to hook everything up. They took up the work anyways, and I must say these guys did an extremely clean and professional job on all the work. They are also very courteous, friendly, finished the work on time and at the quoted price, which was fairly reasonable to begin with.
