Expert Dyno tuning. Hard to find the service in Northern California and thankfully, they're here.

I came to this shop specifically to have my bike dyno tuned. I normally go to the likes of Slabsides (Campbell) or other south bay shops, but RC Cycles has a good rep for dyno-tuning Harleys. They have two daily time slots at around 11 and 1pm to tune your bike. They are fairly booked in this regard so I had to book about 3/4 weeks in advance. I received a call the day before my appointment to remind me of the appointment AND to have a full tank of gas and to bring my power vision. The only negative was I had an appointment at 11, but I had to wait 30/40min since Bob was stuck in traffic coming down. Once I met Bob, things were off to a good start. He asked me some questions on how I felt the bike was running, any issues, mods, then proceeded to ride my bike around. Then boom onto the dyno and getting it tuned. I sat in the room the entire time as I surfed the web on my phone while watching him do his magic. He explained to me how the ion knock sensors work on the Harley, and how he'll tune the bike. He did a few runs at various loads to get the VE maps setup properly for everyday riding, then he went into it for full throttle runs. I was able to get more power out of my bike from the over the counter tune that FuelMoto gave me, but overall the bike ran much much smoother. I would say it took him a solid 2+ hours to get my bike tuned. I have the target tune on my bike so I'll proceed further to get it a tad smoother for everyday riding, but overall I'm impressed with my jump in HP and Torque. Note that my bike bone stock makes about 82HP, 102TQ. Stage 1 about 90HP 110TQ. And with my cam I'm at 109HP, 122TQ so +27HP and +20TQ. Note that I am reviewing purely on the dyno services. I've not come here for regular service or other customize or mechanical work. read more

My motorcycle was having what appeared to be a short circuit issue in the ignition or fuel. I brought it to Harley Davidson dealer in the South Bay, assuming that their claimed factory trained technicians could fix the issue. they charge me two hours diagnosis they claimed to test rode the bike. They returned it to me, and charge me for two hours and said there's nothing wrong with it. Leaving the dealership the issue reoccured 25 + time in 19 miles. I brought the bike to Ron at Rc cycles they diagnosed the issue quickly and repaired my bike. The issue was the crank position sensor failed and #one cylinder injector wire was shorting out. My bike now runs great! I'm happy" I would recommend the shop highly before any dealership. read more

This place knows how to dyno tune and was able to get my 2020 Road Glide with a stage 2 running like a race horse.

First time coming to this superb shop. Came here to get my street glide Dyno tuned and the experience is fantastic. I rode straight to the back without knowing and checking where the front door is at, but Ron called me to see where I am at 5 minutes before my appointment time, and Bob came right away to meet me. Learned a few things from Bob and explained in details about my bike after the Dyno tuning. This people are the best to deal with and they won't disappoint you. This is far from I expected. I am picky on where I should have my bike serviced but I will come back again no matter what to this extravagant place with this outstanding people. read more

Took my 2009 Road King in for a Dynotune. I thought it ran great before taking it in and mainly wanted to find out my HP and Torque numbers. What I found out was Bob was able to squeeze out 12 more ft lbs of Torque and 8 more horsepower while smoothing out the Torque Curve. Not only are the Dyno numbers awesome but the ride afterwards felt like a bike that just had a big bore installed. Bob got my 96" Stock Bore Twin Cam up to 108.5 TQ and 96.12 HP. I have Andrews 48H Cams and a Jackpot 2:1 exhaust and can crush a Stage 1 Rushmore 103. Highly Recommend RC Cycles and Bob for your V-Twin tuning needs! read more

I was referred here by a friend who's a Harley Davidson fanatic. I purchased some cams for my 2015 street bob because I wanted more torque. I called RC Cycles and spoke to Bob because I wanted a quote on how much the labor was going cost. The pricing was very reasonable. Two days later, they gave me a call and told me my bike was ready. Bob the dyno guy was able to squeeze out 94hp and 114/ft pounds of torque! I originally had a Power Commander V, but he suggested the TTS Mastertune because there are a lot more adjustments that can be made. I was a little hesitant at first because the tuner was a bit pricey, but I'm glad I made the purchase. I'm extremely satisfied with the out come. My bike hauls ass! read more

These guys were recommended to me from several other motorcycle shops in the bay area, mainly for the Dyno-Tuning that I needed to get on my 2006 Road Glide. It was a bit of a trek to get there as I live pretty far away; however, it was well worth the travel time... These guys are as professional as professional gets! They are very knowledgeable and they have great customer service. They were able to solve issues that other shops couldn't in half the time and cost. Walked in on inquiring on some aftermarket fairings and the man behind the counter [Walter] was very helpful. He also educated me on upgrades suspensions that willl come in handy at higher speeds. First impression is that these guys are a performance shop for Harleys. I inquired on getting the first 1000 mile service completed and was reassured by Walter that they conduct the same dealer service that I would get at my local HD dealer at a fraction of the cost. I scheduled my next day appointment on the spot. The folks at RC cycles completed my initial service all in the same day with a 9:30AM drop off and was able to pick up my bike a little after 4. I received all the needed documentation to enter and log into my maintenance journal. I will be recommending this shop to my family and will be returning back for either some upgrades, dyno test or my next service. Hella happy with my tune. Called yesterday to see if they could get me in for a tune they told me noon as soon as I got there filled out paper work and got started pulled my bike around and got to watch the process get done pretty dope. I just had got this bike the guy before had the 02 sensors backwards they found that out real quick. They got it running so smooth gas mileage went up so much I used to get 100 miles to a tank. The crew at RC cycles is by far the best shop I've ever been to. Took in my 06' fxd and my brothers 01' fxdl a couple weeks ago to see bob and get both bike tuned on the dyno. Brought both bikes over in the trailer. After unloading noticed my battery was dead and there was no gas in my bike the crew hooked me up with setting my bike up to charge and letting me use they're gas can to go fuel up. When it got time to put both bikes on the dyno bob hooked it up getting them tuned right getting the most hp/tq out of both bikes. These guys know Whatsup and will treat you right!!! read more

Took my roadking to Ron at RC Cycles in Hayward, who SUPPOSEDLY replaced the ECM with a NEW one, I paid took it home where I had a buyer waiting and who test rode, only to find out the power commander was burnt out and Ron failed to tell me before sending it home with me! Took it back got the PC put on for an additional ($300), met buyer at RC to complete the transaction only to find a new oil leak! The buyer took it in to Dudley Perkins because it was running bad and was told the "NEW ECM" I'd just had done needs to be replaced ($675) and the oil leak was actually coming from the stator ($600) total plus tow $1325 to correct a problem that never should have been! I wouldn't recommend this money trap to any rider who even needs an oil change! Worst part is once upon a time they were a decent shop! Talked to a few others and heard similar stories! Avoid at ALL CO$T!!! read more

Took my Dyna there to get tires. Got a quote for Metzeller 880s. Picked up the bike, It had Dunlops on it. Gave me a small credit. I took it because I needed the bike back. If they can't even put the right tires on it, they won't see it in their shop again. Too bad, there aren't many reliable shops around. And RC isn't reliable anymore either. read more
