    bike inside dyno room.
    Danny N.

I came to this shop specifically to have my bike dyno tuned. I normally go to the likes of Slabsides (Campbell) or other south bay shops, but RC Cycles has a good rep for dyno-tuning Harleys. They have two daily time slots at around 11 and 1pm to tune your bike. They are fairly booked in this regard so I had to book about 3/4 weeks in advance. I received a call the day before my appointment to remind me of the appointment AND to have a full tank of gas and to bring my power vision. The only negative was I had an appointment at 11, but I had to wait 30/40min since Bob was stuck in traffic coming down. Once I met Bob, things were off to a good start. He asked me some questions on how I felt the bike was running, any issues, mods, then proceeded to ride my bike around. Then boom onto the dyno and getting it tuned. I sat in the room the entire time as I surfed the web on my phone while watching him do his magic. He explained to me how the ion knock sensors work on the Harley, and how he'll tune the bike. He did a few runs at various loads to get the VE maps setup properly for everyday riding, then he went into it for full throttle runs. I was able to get more power out of my bike from the over the counter tune that FuelMoto gave me, but overall the bike ran much much smoother. I would say it took him a solid 2+ hours to get my bike tuned. I have the target tune on my bike so I'll proceed further to get it a tad smoother for everyday riding, but overall I'm impressed with my jump in HP and Torque. Note that my bike bone stock makes about 82HP, 102TQ. Stage 1 about 90HP 110TQ. And with my cam I'm at 109HP, 122TQ so +27HP and +20TQ. Note that I am reviewing purely on the dyno services. I've not come here for regular service or other customize or mechanical work.

Bob Dynotuning My 2009 Road King

Took my 2009 Road King in for a Dynotune. I thought it ran great before taking it in and mainly wanted to find out my HP and Torque numbers. What I found out was Bob was able to squeeze out 12 more ft lbs of Torque and 8 more horsepower while smoothing out the Torque Curve. Not only are the Dyno numbers awesome but the ride afterwards felt like a bike that just had a big bore installed. Bob got my 96" Stock Bore Twin Cam up to 108.5 TQ and 96.12 HP. I have Andrews 48H Cams and a Jackpot 2:1 exhaust and can crush a Stage 1 Rushmore 103. Highly Recommend RC Cycles and Bob for your V-Twin tuning needs!

They got me in fast and had the bike done on time for the quoted price. Highly recommend.

Getting ready to run it on the dyno

Took my bike to RC Cycles to have it dyno tuned. OMG what a difference! Couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did Bob educate me he made my bike run the way it should! If you're thinking about tuning your bike they're the guys you need to take it to! I promise you'll love the results.

I was referred here by a friend who's a Harley Davidson fanatic. I purchased some cams for my 2015 street bob because I wanted more torque. I called RC Cycles and spoke to Bob because I wanted a quote on how much the labor was going cost. The pricing was very reasonable. Two days later, they gave me a call and told me my bike was ready. Bob the dyno guy was able to squeeze out 94hp and 114/ft pounds of torque! I originally had a Power Commander V, but he suggested the TTS Mastertune because there are a lot more adjustments that can be made. I was a little hesitant at first because the tuner was a bit pricey, but I'm glad I made the purchase. I'm extremely satisfied with the out come. My bike hauls ass!

Expert Dyno tuning. Hard to find the service in Northern California and thankfully, they're here.

This place knows how to dyno tune and was able to get my 2020 Road Glide with a stage 2 running like a race horse.

After installing it myself, the bike began to run lean. Eventually I realized I needed help from a professional mechanic in solving the problem. They told me they could figure it out for me. A few days later they claimed they were having a hard time getting the issue solved and then began further diagnosing the issue. More time passes and they simply can't solve the problem. During the entire process I am in touch with Dynojet via email and phone call and they keep telling me that Pinnacle likely has never dealt with a Dynojet Kit before based on the hard time they were having getting the kit to work with the bike. A week and a half later, Pinnacle calls me and tells me they converted the Carb back to stock jetting and now the bike is no longer running lean. I could have EASILY done that myself, the point was for them to figure out why the Dynojet Kit wasn't working. To add insult to injury, the team at Dynojet told me had Pinnacle simply called the tech support line, they would have gladly worked with them on troubleshooting and finding a solution. When I confronted the owner on this, he told me "We don't operate that way, you can work with Dynojet on your own, the bike is no longer running lean." They rid themselves of responsibility and only look for an easy way out. Not cool! This place obviously isn't up to the task when it comes to a little more comprehensive repairs and troubleshooting. HIGHLY disappointed!

I could have bought another bike for around $4,000-$6,000 but this one had sentimental value, so I decided to invest in restoring it. I dropped the bike off and asked them to make it "cherry"--fix it up properly and make it ride like it should. Make it look like new and reaooy aprae no expesnse its sentimental bike. They had the bike for about a year. During that time, I called regularly and was repeatedly told, "It'll be done this week." That went on for months. I stayed patient because I assumed the long wait and roughly $7,000-$8,000 cost meant they were doing a thorough, high-quality job. When I finally picked it up, things immediately felt off: They tried to charge a 3.5% fee for using a credit card. Ok, so I used Zelle, I attempted to pay via Zelle, but due to limits and delays, they refused to release my bike unless I paid in full immediately. I ended up paying theCC fee just to get my bike back after a year. Then the real issues started. The gas tank was completely empty when I picked it up. It happens, could but it could hsve been a shitty tming thing BUT After putting $20 of gas in, it them tank, started leaking immediately. Since then: The bike is still hard to start Parts are loose (a handle knob fell off the next morning and I ran it over and smashed it on accident Overall, it feels like very little mechanical work was actually done. At this point, it honestly feels like I paid $7k+ for a paint job and a basic tune-up. The bike is still in poor condition and nowhere near what I expected after a year in the shop. The staff was really (the son) polite, and I don't have anything personal against them--but from a service standpoint, I feel completely ripped off. I wanted to support a local business, but I would not bring my bike back here under any circumstances.
