I wish I could give this place 20 stars it's so great! The funny thing is I never thought I would be grateful for my motorcycle almost getting stolen/getting damaged because if it hadn't happened I never would've found this amazing place I called Evolution Friday afternoon, told them what happened and they told me I could bring in the bike the next day. I came in this morning and was greeted by two of the kindest gentleman I have ever met. They were both incredibly patient, thoughtful and empathetic while we discussed the damage and what my options would be. I came back at the end of the day to some very good news and the even better unexpected news that they would go over my estimate with me to see where I could save on sourcing parts for the repair! Given that the last two shops I went to straight up lied and fudged the hell out of the estimate(to the point where I almost lost my bike because they claimed so much that State Farm wanted to total loss it) I was obviously nervous about going to a new shop to potentially have the same thing happen. I'm so happy to say I've found a new shop for life and that I've finally found people I can trust with my most precious belonging. I had them change my levers and got them back stiff and hard to pull in after awhile the clutch lever became so stiff it was getting stuck so I took my bike back and they said it wasn't my levers, it was my clutch basket and I needed a whole engine replacement. I had a feeling they were wrong and something was up. So I changed my clutch lever and my bike is running very good now . So what kind of mechanics are they?? I will not be getting my bike serviced there again unless they get a whole new crew of mechanics . Watch bikers they will scam you. read more

This place used to be great when the original owner was around. I came back here a couple years ago to get my Multistrada forks rebuilt because they were leaking, and the forks ended up leaking again only a couple months later. I went to the dealership to get it looked at, and they said Evolution didn't change the bushings, and photographed damage to the coating on the fork tubes where they go inside the legs. Now the forks start leaking every couple thousand miles. I can't prove this damage happened because of Evolution, but the dealer realized he should take a picture of the fork tube, and Evolution's mechanics or technicians apparently didn't. Either way, it's not worth bringing a bike here again. read more

This has become my new go-to shop for any work that I need done on my bike. I bought a pair of tires and had them installed by the shop. Their prices are fantastic. The tires I got were about $100 cheaper than if I got them from RevZilla. I checked with the dealer that I bought the bike from, and getting the tires and having them installed would have been a good $350 more. They were able to install them the same day that I dropped the bike off so there was minimal waiting. Overall, I'd highly recommend this shop especially if you're looking for new tires. read more

I own an ex SFPD 1992 Kawasaki KZ1000P (Police) which needed a top-end rebuild. As with any motorcycle of this age, getting the right parts was tricky but I was able to source them mainly from eBay. The rebuild itself was not without challenges but Frank and his team kept me informed all the way. It did take longer than expected but I am very thankful for the result! After the valve adjustment, I found a coolant leak (coolant was flushed as part of the adjustment). I brought the bike in again, they said it was a bad hose clamp, and charged me for the labor. Not thrilled, but passed it off as still reasonable. A couple weeks later, and I still see coolant leaking in that area. Very disappointed. I've changed the coolant twice on this bike myself in the past and didn't have this issue. They are nice professional people, and the valve adjustment itself did work well. I had hoped I could find a shop I could trust in the long-term, but this experience really frustrated me. read more

I could not recommend this place enough! Every single person here is very nice, knowledgeable , attentive to detail and go above and beyond. Every time I've called they've been super helpful and worked with me on any question or concern I had. I've brought my bike here twice (Husqvarna 701 sm) and they knew what to do, what to look out for and made me feel confident that when I got back on my bike it would be better than when I dropped it off. This simply started with ordering a tire for my bike. The tire I received was not that Same as advertised. I reached out for a return to fix this issue a few times. They finally gave me an address to return the tire, but wanted to receive the return before shipping the new one. This return has been 6 weeks now and I havnt received my tire. I emailed multiple times with no reply. I contacted by phone multiple times and they answered 2 times,both times they said I'll need to talk to my boss and we will get back with you. My Wuflu purchase/project was a 1990 Yamaha FZR 400. I got the FZR from a private owner who had the bike in storage for years. I worked on it during summer and fall to get it up to running condition. However, there were some engine gremlins that still needed to get worked out. By this time last week, I had enough DIY and just wanted to ride, so I called Evolution to schedule the repairs. The issues were lag on throttle blip and fuel in the air filter. I dropped off my bike at Evolution with Frank, and he patiently took his time to explain the process for repair. They would diagnose, inform what repairs were needed, and order parts. He let me know there was a queue ahead of my bike and that some ordered parts may take time to come in, especially for specialty or classic bikes. Their diagnosis found gummed up carbs, old plugs, and they found some deteriorating hoses. Evolution rebuilt the carb, synced the carbs, changed out the plugs, and quickly fixed everything. The throttle is responsive again, and the bike is so much fun to ride. Also, the bill was very fair for the amount of work done. Evolution saved me so much time. This place was awesome! There aren't many places that will work on old motorcycles, and when I brought them my 1976 RD00 with a major oil leak and other odds and ends that needed fixing they said yes without even hesitating. They where more then fair with pricing, I thought I was going to spend a lot more. I even brought the bike back with a carburetor problem, unrelated to the original work and they fixed it at no charge. I've had my 2016 Aprilia Tuono into Evolution Motorcycles a few times over the years, mainly for advanced service items I'm not tooled up to do myself. Frank has always been very direct and to the point, and on top of the good service and communication I get, has patiently answered all my questions, especially early on when I'd just bought the bike. I just got the bike back from Evolution for 30,000km service, including a valve check. Terrence did the work on my Aprilia. He thoroughly explained all the work he'd done, incuding giving me a written record of which valves needed how much adjustment. He answered more of my questions, gave me constructive feedback about the maintenance I do on the bike, and, with me there at the shop, adjusted the suspension for my weight - the improvement in handling is remarkable. Of course, they work on many other makes at Evolution, but I know they definitely know Aprilias inside and out, and care about ensuring that the bikes that come through their shop are in top shape when they leave. They're currently working on a remodel, which is also nice - it means they're reinvesting in the business. Evolution Motorcycles is a class act in my book. read more

Put your seatbelt on folks. Brought my 07 Honda CBR600RR into Evolution. This place was highly recommended from a friend. I asked for the 16k Major Service (valves and plugs) as well as an overall safety check of the bike. I didn't need any new fluids (oil, brake, coolant, etc.) and I let him know specifically (also submitted a google Form with this information). Frank let me know it would all be checked out in a timely manner and i was excited to get my bike to the right people. and it begins... 2 weeks later i receive my bike - Missing a turn signal, the one in place wasn't connected, new scratches on my fairings - charged for additional work i specified not to do. Frank -"valves in spec, spark plugs in, new engine oil, new coolant, new brake fluid." It wasnt what I asked for but i figured why not, might be a good idea to get the new fluids so i let it slide. I rode my bike home and took it for a mini ride to los gatos. It started pissing coolant. I limp it back home and call the shop. They come tow it back to Evolution. I was assured it was a mistake and that they'd "take care of it no problem." - get the coolant leak fixed, put my turn signal back in. All I wanted was a heads up on the time frame in which my bike would be ready to pick up - even a "hey mac sorry we're super busy and haven't had a chance to get to your bike yet." BUT no communication whatsoever for another 2 weeks. I call literally everyday being an annoying customer trying to get any kind of update. Nothing. So i start heading into the shop waiting for someone so I can get an update. Finally I get a call saying my bike is good to go. I head over to pick it up, Turn signal still missing, other turn signal disconnected, but coolant leak "guaranteed to be fixed." Frank lets me know he'll order new turn signals and I can pick them up "in the next few days." I say ok thats fine. I ride my bike to los gatos again - this time it starts pissing oil. I take it back to them. Frank lets me know he's sorry and that they'll "get it right this time." I wanted to give them the opportunity to get my bike back how it was when I brought it in (no issues), so he takes it in and starts fixing the leak and installing the turn signals. Around a week later i get yet another promise from Frank that falls through. I finally get my bike back. Oil leak (that could have been completely avoided in the first place) fixed. Coolant leak (that could have been completely avoided in the first place) fixed. New turn signals installed. good to go - so I ride off and realize my horn is now disconnected. I decided to cut my losses and just attach the horn myself instead of letting someone else try to fix the problems of their own making. In conclusion: It would have been so nice if I could have received any kind of updates throughout the process. Instead, I was left completely in the dark. There were so many guarantees and promises that fell short it made me dizzy. I wasn't even asking for promises or guarantees I just wanted a clear understanding of what was going on and maybe an estimated timing. Some kind of rapport with the shop. It's a real bummer because my buddies recommended this place to me. After this experience they wont be going back either. read more

While Robert sold off Evolution it went to one of his guys (Frank) who has maintained the same quality work, fair pricing and honest service. My baby was showing her age (17+ years!) so I had them replace all the hoses in the cooling system plus the brake/clutch lines. A lot of work - but done well and even with them discovering a leaky temp sensor that I would never have figured out. Took her out for a good thrashing today and man the brakes feel FAR better and she purred like a kitten. Thanks guys! read more

I need to replace front and rear tires on my motorcycle. I contacted Frank from yelp and gave me a very clear quote. I drove into the store one weekend and Frank checked the motorcycle for me that it is really needed a tires replacement, so I placed an order. When the tires arrived, I drove the motorcycle to the store again. I found the workshop is big , there are many motorcycles ,and the staff were very professional and friendly. Mechanic Jason helped me replaced the front and rear tires on my bike, I don't know much about the motorcycle, but it feels great to ride. Also I have to say Jason was pretty cool when he is riding his Kawaski Z6R. Thanks Frank and Jason and nice to meet you guys. read more

These are some good guys working at this place. I took my Yamaha FZ6 in to get new tires. John gave me his best value tire recommendation for Dunlops. Though I insisted on the more costly option to go with Michelins for my bike. I think they ordered them on a Wednesday. Thursday EOD, I got a call saying the tires were in. Friday morning I dropped off the bike, and by 1 PM I got a call saying the bike was finished. In addition, they informed me that my chain and sprockets were badly worn and would need replacement soon. None of this was accompanied by them pushing to do the work, which I appreciate. My clutch pull was also notably heavy, so they lubed it for me at no extra charge. When I arrived, they gave me the rundown on what they found wrong with the bike. Everything was included in a report at no charge. I wasn't pushed to have the work done there. I was simply informed of what state my bike is in and they'd be happy to do the work if I wanted. Would happily recommend Evolution to my other biker friends. read more

I had a sitting motorcycle that will not start. I trusted the five start reviews and towed the motorcycle to the shop. Took them a whole week to just diagnose what it will take to get the bike running - for which they charged me an hour of diagnostics - $120. Suggested a whole list of things including carburetor build up which will cost me over 1000$. I asked what would it take to just start the bike as I do not want to invest a lot for a bike that I want sell; but they stuck to the same list. I decided to tow the bike back home - put a new battery and sta-bil and started the bike. (70 bucks) BTW - when I questioned if the diagnostics was worth 120$ - the guy on the phone was joking with his buddy on; how I was questioning the work, how I kept calling the whole week for an update... He did not know that the phone line was ON and I heard every single word. Absolutely unprofessional behavior. read more

Needed new tires for my motorcycle. Evolution didn't have the kind I wanted but a nearby store did. I wasn't sure if I could carry the tires from the other store on my bike, so Evolution generously offered to pick them up from the store on my behalf. I managed to get the tires and bike to them and they were installed while I waited. They also checked out the bike's vitals at a very reasonable cost. This place is amazing! Fast work, great work, and good prices. I just had my 2013 Triumph Thruxton serviced. It's my only ride (no car) so I was hoping to have it done ASAP. I had it back so quick! I needed a couple things done including 24k mile maintenance and new brake pads. When I got the bike back it felt like the bike was good as new. I feel like the bike was worked on with love and care. Brought my bike here to have the ignition switch changed out after having someone try to steal my bike, the owner said it would be a 3 day turn around time, came back later that week and they said they were waiting on parts....... 1 month passes by and absolutely nothing was done to the bike, my bike was dusty and had torn seat from sitting outside in the sun all day, they couldn't even find the paper work for my bike under all that mess of unorganized paper work they have at the front desk. I would give them a zero star rating but that app dose not have a selection for that. Don't take your bike here if your looking for professional work done to your bike. read more

Too many problems with this shop. Every time I take my bike there they screw up something else or they hide what they damaged. I'm not going back to this British dude Rob...cocky fk, because they do half fast job and no respect. When you call back with what they've done wrong Rob likes to argue about it. Me and three other racers stopped taking our bikes to this people. Mexican mechanic has no clue of what he does...fuck up $120 an hour labor????
