I worked with TJ and it was super smooth to get this all done. he took photos of my bike and proceeed to create a ticket with husqvarna USA. exactly one week later I got a phone call to come in. He was kind to put the stickers on my bike in the proper locations. The thing to note here is that this is a service where they don't make money from, but simply to help out motorcyclists. 2020 KTM 790 Cam inspection at 10k, resulted in no documented wear observed. Then at 12K Cams show significant damage/wear. Most on forums suggest not feasible. 12k tear down has no observable indication that valve covers were removed at 10k, no new silicon sealant, none of the bolts appeared to have been turned. read more

I purchased a 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4S Sport in September of 2022 from Munroe Motors in San Francisco. For my first service, I did some shopping around and found that Motor Café in Campbell had a lower per-hour labor rate. I went to visit their location and was so impressed by the facility. Lots of parking, a wonderful waiting area for customers, a coffee and water bar, and nice bathrooms. And of course, the staff was friendly. So I opted to take my bike there for service even though it's further away from my home. During my service, the tech noticed a slight oil weep and asked me to leave the bike at the shop so that they could fully assess the issue. My bike had never leaked oil or consumed oil. After looking over the bike they found an 'oil weep' and stated it would be covered under warranty. I arranged to leave the bike at the shop the following week. During the time it was there I contacted Ducati Corporate via their website. I was contacted right away and assured that my bike was indeed under warranty for the repair. During the entire time, my bike was at the shop, around 28 days, both TJ and Gary from Motor Café kept me updated as did Mateo from Ducati Corporate. Of course, I'd prefer if this never occurred with my bike, but I know that things happen. Experiencing firsthand a major repair by Ducati is a blessing. I now know just how well Motor Café and Ducati cover their products. Although I know this will be my last bike, if I ever did purchase another bike, I'd buy a Duck. And no, this is not my first motorcycle. A Penton, a Bultaco, a Maico, two Kawasakis, two Honda F4s, one Honda VTR and an RC51. Raced my entire life. Trained too. Had my new KTM 390 Adventure delivered today from Brad at The Motor Cafe after waiting for the backorders from KTM due to supply shortages (pandemic) back in March 2022. I was glad that I put a deposit down to be one of the first to get a 390 Adventure. During the initial sales process Dino and Jose were both very helpful in explaining what was available and estimated delivery times. Which was hard to predict due to supply shortages. Once the 390 came in I went down to pay for the bike and it all went very well. Dino, Dalton and Frank were very helpful in getting me going (sales, extra gear and finance) and out the door. Don't have a customer drop off their bike for diagnostics if you're not going to actually have a tech look at it. They told me the bike would be inspected the next day but when I called to get an update at the end of the day, I was told the earliest they could look at it would be in 5-6 days. I went down there to grab my bike and take it to another shop and the service guy asked me 5 times to just leave the bike and said they would look at it the following day. I kept saying no, then he said they'd look at it right now. I'm not in to playing games. Look at the bike when you say you will and if you can look at it when I'm there pissed and ready to take it somewhere else, then why didn't you just do that in the first place? How bad does your customer service have to be that the customer would rather drive 30 miles south to Gilroy for another shop? I live in San Jose. If you don't have a tech to look at the bike, either tell me that up front or don't take bikes to begin with unless you have a tech available. If a tech fails to show up to work, then at least inform the customer that you won't be able to do what you said you would. I brought it to Gilroy Motorcycle Center and within 15 minutes they had a tech working on the bike and the service rep was giving me updates. read more

The team is welcoming, competent, flexible, not pushy and always professional. They are always available for questions or for squeezing my bikes in for service last minute. There are several team members, all great. Came in looking for 2 specific bikes I've had my eyes on. First off, the guys were nice on the phone. So 2 stars for that. I was serious about buying one of the 2 bikes today but they wouldn't let me test ride it. I have my M1 endorsement. I currently ride too (and I'm not a need-for-speed person too. I love cruising.) but anyways I wasn't allowed to ride but my husband can. He's had his license for a month and barely 200 miles. I've ridden 400 and I took the safety riding courses. One electric dirtbike was given a red sticker then threatening letters requiring insurance from the DMV. They offered to resolve but still we wait for the coveted green sticker. I brought my KTM in for a 600 mile first service here. When I went to pick it up, I saw they had cracked the tail light. I went to ask the guy at the front about it and he tried to say that it came in like that. The tech overheard us and came out and said that he had cracked it during the service and apologized. Ok, whatever, things happen, especially in a busy shop during a pandemic. I'm not going to blame the tech here. The manager said they would order me a new tail light. I called them 2-3 weeks later asking what was happening, the guy at the front said he wasn't sure the order had been put in and he'd fix it. I call 2 weeks later, still nothing ("don't worry a manager will get back to you soon"). I call 2 week later, nothing. Repeat this a few times. At this point it's been 3 months. No contact, no tail light, no apology or attempt to make it up to me. Techs are nice guys, the sales guys I met seem chill but if something goes wrong, the management won't lift a finger to help you. read more

I have not purchased a motorcycle from them, but they have provided excellent customer service through sales, parts, and service department. I like the fact that I can pop in and look at motorcycles on the showroom floor and no one is following me around or pestering me. They simply ask if I need help and if I say no, they retreat. Mixed emotions. For those first timers planning their trip here, there's plenty of more parking behind the building if you don't find one in the front. We've been here In the past and recently returned a week ago. We slept on it and knew it was time we add a Ducati to our stable so here we are. Jose and my husband has been in communication since and numbers matched. Sales Rep Stacey and Sales Manager Jose did their part, kept their promise and a hand shake delivered. All was good and they were great and easy with no push/rush. Next was Esther, finance loan, who pushed, insisted, and demanded that we purchase a 7 year warranty. We traded a bike (trade in value was competitive and met our needs-thanks Jose) with $2000 down, owing $2500. Esther informed us that there's a minimum finance of $6K cuz banks needs to make their money too (is this true? Never heard but we trust what she says). So heck, might as well use my savings and pay the bike off, right? Wrong. Esther couldn't take "no" for an answer of purchasing her 7 year warrenty which I know she gets commission for. She explained how much a Ducati cost for maintenance/problems/ "just in case"/etc. She kept insisting we save our money and just finance so we can add the 7 year warranty. To me it was a no brainer. Pay off the bike out right, go home debt free with my husband's bucket list paid for. That's a Winner My husband listened and understood what she was saying. He also knew what I was saying. With this uncompromising deal, we had to walk away. After I spoke with my husband and seen that he truly wanted this, I told him to sell me the deal. Let me hear what he had to say as I trust his decision and him. Thanks to me, cuz this deal wouldn't have happened, we went back in and sealed the deal. Esther got what she asked. I truly hope I'll be happy paying monthly on a loan of $6K+. Guess who's stuck with a bill? Anything for my husband of 27 years. Cheers to you. I swear... I better get my 25FB Airstream In 3 years. First off I will give shoutout to Nate and Dalton on sales team. Amazing people and supportive though out purchase experience. However the reason I give such a low rating is with their service team. They over charge you at any chance they see it. This Saturday I brought my bike to them for installing some parts. they gave me a quote of 980 dollars, said they would only charge by the hour they worked, quote is only an estimate and told me to sign it before leaving. But when I got back to pick up the bike, they asked me to pay for the exact 980 dollar (5.5 hour rate) just because I put my name on the quote. When I asked them to pull the service record it only showed sub 4.5 hours. An Ducati authorized dealer taking advantage of new riders like me is outrageous. And also they are over charging hours on all the parts they install. Avoid at all cost, not trustworthy. read more

This is a 5-star review - but would agree with the reviews about responsiveness and followup lacking a bit. You will need to keep on them. Call, don't email. If you can deal with that, then there is no better KTM dealer in NorCal. These guys are as good as it gets in terms of trustworthiness for the Bay Area. Lots of dealers (*cough* Monroe Motors) have been taking advantage of people by hiking up delivery and setup fees during the current supply chain shortage. I called 5 dealers who are all doing this, because they can get away with it. You will end up paying an extra $1200 in fees from most other dealers. Inversely, Moto Cafe stands out by investing in their customer relationships. They will make you a lifelong customer by not taking advantage of you at every chance they could. I worked with Dino in sales, who is a pleasure to do business with. Would highly recommend. read more

I called to inquire about a few bikes and he was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and offered for me to come test ride the one I was interested in. Upon arrival he showed me around the bike and again was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and just an overall great guy. Test ride was also very extensive and allowed me to get a good ans true feel for the bike. While I didn't ultimately buy during that visit, due to an injury that I thought would feel better by now, he was extremely honest and supportive and I had a fantastic experience. Beware of apparel manager Ron. Went to go buy a helmet or see what they have and this guy Ron try'd to sell me a helmet that hurt when I put it on. B S me about I have to sweat this helmet in for the fit right. Compared to cycle gear their helmets are about $150 more expensive for the most basic shoei helmet. Part department said they have a part and went to go pick it up. When I got there a old man went to the back and said they actually didn't have it. Wasted a sh*t load of my time driving. Order a part he said it would take 3 to 5 days but it actually took 2 weeks. I was trying to buy an slip on exhaust for my bike but when I asked them for the price they trying to sell me something that was $1700 + shipping. When I went to "parts Unlimited" the same exact slip-on exhaust was only $800 + free shipping. Super expensive very limited supply of gear. (No clothes for women!) No Jackets, pants, gloves or boots. No selection for women! When I tried boots on they were a size to big and Ron said "just wear 2 socks". He would make sexual inappropriate jokes, exceedingly creepy extremely unprofessional. Very limited knowledge of how helmet should fit or apparel. They're only there for the sale they don't care if the helmet or apparel fits you. Don't waste your time there for apparel go to cycle gear or another shop. If you actually shop around there Ducati are $3,000 + MSRP. I went to San Rafael and saved $3,500 under the MSRP on a 2019 V4. They don't care about customers. Couple of other problems! Dan and Ron could only reference professional motorcycle riders from the early 90s. They also couldn't reference One Professional rider in the last 2 years. Whether it would be a Supercross Rider, Motocross or even a professional sport bike rider. I would never trust these people. Seriously go somewhere else. read more

Went in to buy a KTM Freeride E-XC on a Saturday after calling ahead to make sure they had the model I wanted in stock. Told them no financing paying cash and when I arrived was told no personal checks. Would have been nice to know ahead of time as it was off to find a bank branch open. Dino was cool but then he was pushed aside for the sales manager who spent the next 30 minutes trying to upsell us a different bike and then a 4 year warranty on a dirt bike???? Finally got pissed and then they processed the sale. Should not have been this difficult I felt like I was at a car dealer. read more
