My partner and I help an open house down the road. On the way to the open house, we saw Factory Powersports. My partner has been looking to purchase quad for a new property she just purchased, so we came in to see what they carried. First off, the entrance to the parking lot is a little funky. They try to make it one way in and one way out. The parking lot entrance is actually around the corner on Carrillo St. (small side street) and the exit is on Cleveland Ave. (larger, main street). You would think the entrance would be on the larger street and exit on the smaller street, but it's the opposite, so if you are driving on Cleveland Ave. towards College Ave. and miss Carrillo St., you will need to turn back around. As for the store itself, they have a good selection of motorcycles, power crafts, ATVs and accessories. The thing that this place is lacking is customer service which seems to be the theme when I read other reviews. When you walk in, no one greets you. There was an employee sitting at the desk doing some paperwork, looks up as we walk in, but there was no greeting. As we were browsing the inventory, no one came by help or ask if we had questions. When we walked out, again no acknowledgement that we may be potential customers. I'm sure if they had better customers service, their business would be much better. read more

TLDR: They kept our bike longer than necessary, didn't fix the leak we brought it in for and tried to over charge us AND get paid twice. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Our bike is new and clearly under warranty, we took it in for an obvious oil leak. At first the rep didn't file the claim for the oil leak. The rep said they didn't know if it was under warranty and they would need the year/ make/ model/ VIN to check that it was (they had the bike in their possession at that point). The shop claims they did some sort of repair, however we could tell the bike hadn't actually been worked on. The advisor said the labor hours were some high amount but when we questioned it he then feigned surprise and said that it was actually an error and should be lower. They then submitted the claim with warranty but said they wouldn't release the bike until they got paid which could be a week or so. The rep said we could pay it now and they would reimburse us when the claim came through or just wait it out. We didn't get the feeling they actually would reimburse us, and ended up calling the warranty dept to see what the time frame would be. When we called Kawasaki, they had confirmed the payment went through and was good to pick up that same day. read more

Let me start by saying I've been coming here about 3 years and their work has been decent during that time. I've had tires done there probably ten times over that time period, without any issues. Yesterday when I had my tire changed, this is what it came back looking like. When I pointed it out the Service Manager, he was pretty understanding that it shouldn't have happened and even stated that he would be upset if it was his bike. He went to go get the owner to show him. When you get tires changed here, you sign a form saying that any reasonable damage that could occur from tire changing is agreed on. Usually this can be a small nick or scratch in your wheel. Usually not a big deal. But this.....what did they mount this tire with, a fucking lathe?! There's no way that the tire tech was trained correctly, or they simply didn't stop as soon as the tire machine started deeply gouging my wheel. When the owner came out, he was immediately combative, and repeatedly escalated the issue until he was cussing me out loudly, screaming names at me, etc. He even told me I was a "cheap ass" for coming back over what was a $35 job (that's the tire mount cost), even though he well knew we were discussing the damn near $2,000 wheel. So not only did they damage the hell out of my wheel, I wasn't extended any apology or anything, and was verbally abused. Awesome service for a repeat customer! While I was still in the shop, I called other shops like Eurocycle and SFBMW to ask them what they would do should this have happened at their shop. Both stated the wheel would be repaired or replaced without question. When that information was relayed to this irate owner of Factory Powersports, he stated that those shops can do business how they want and told me I was a dumbass for not going to one of those shops. Even the owner thinks you should come here! All in all, this is the place to go if you want to have you bike damaged without any recourse whatsoever. The shop does NOT care about the customers whatsoever. The owner stated the shop has insurance, but "not for this bullshit" before repeatedly screaming "you signed the waiver" in my face. Stellar. They quoted me a price initially, but when I came to pick it up, the bill had mysteriously doubled with "unexpected issues" that they never mentioned. oh what a mess of a business this is. years ago tried to by a motorcycle from these guys and they signed me up for a credit card without my permission, moved passed it cuz the owner apologized and seemed like a nice guy, even ended up buying another motorcycle from then a while later. about a week ago I took another one of my motorcycles for a fork bearing replacement and wiring some lights, was quoted for 3 1/2 hours for all of it (average time for a fork bearing replacement is hour and a half - 2 hours). they ended up not even trying on the wiring. when I came to pick up the bike THE OWNER tried to say they took SIX AND A HALF for the job... heres the thing. I KNEW they finished it under 3 because I called earlier in the day and he said he didn't touch the wiring but the bearing was already done before 12 (i dropped off at 9:30). if I had not done that, they would not have called me after the bike was finished and they would have tried to ROB ME for hours... and then the owner tried to say "were only gonna charge you for 3" even though in reality me (and my off duty sheriff buddy who I was with) both know it took less then that. still paid them but I cant recommend anyone do business with these guys and wont be doing any more in the future. given these guys plenty of chances but they keep being shady. read more

I have a four wheeler, an older Kawasaki. Asked them to help service it. While they repaired the problem of a locked up rear brake, and I am sure there are other worn parts that need to be replaced. My problem and I have them a chance to be straight. I now do not have good confidence that they have my best interest at heart. When I picked up my bike it was in limp mode, belt light. I asked for them to reset it. They said they could reset only for it to just go back into limp mode because my belt is severely worn. I have dealt with belt lights all it's life. Reset it and be ok. They said it needs the new belt before it will clear. I cleared the belt light after YouTubing it. It runs like a champ now and has not come back on. I had to adjust brake after they were done and adjust the idle. Not very professional in my opinion. Be straight up with your customers and don't lie. So much for my purchase of a new bike as well. Caveat emptor(Buyer Beware). I will share with my large friend force. read more

They had like a 18 year old kid review my bike and his favorite thing to say is "I don't know." & "uhhh." after my bike was sitting there for 3 weeks. I bought motorcycles from the legendary Clayton & Ruth back in the late 1970's thru mid '80's. (God, I'm getting old). Today I needed a rear view mirror replacement and a speedometer cable. Items were in stock. Employees were friendly & helpful, the shop is clean, orderly and inviting. Prices were fair. Service department will not work on motorcycles over 10 years old. Stupid policy that most factory franchise shops now enforce. Well, I'm not going to sell my perfectly good 1994 Virago 1100cc because of that. But I do wish that I could use a real Yamaha shop rather than a 3rd party independent shop for service. read more

My Honda's motorcycle battery died this morning, had to jump start it. They had the same Yuasa battery the factory calls for and made time to install it the same day as I didn't want to be stranded again. Awesome customer service and their prices are very reasonable. I have to say that Tristen in service is a straightforward guy. I had a manufacture recall to be performed. He ordered the parts and He was honest enough to tell me not to bring my bike in before the parts arrived. Once they came in exactly when he said they would I dropped my bike off. It was s second gear recall requiring the entire engine and transmission to be taken apart. They told me 7-10 business days as it is busy season. They called 4 days later and it was all done. There was a small piece missing from under the seat but they acknowledged it and are sending it to me in mail so I don't have to drive the hour back to them. Overall I am happy and would use them again for major services or repairs if needed. read more

Okay. This is how a business is supposed to be run and have outstanding customer service! I had called a couple of weeks ago describing a recall issue I have had with my Super Tenere's headlights, totally still in on warranty. I had been dealing with another 'unnamed' dealership for close to a year with no resolution whatsoever. At the other establishment I kept getting promises that I would get a call back, an email, etc., etc., etc. A year mind you as I had started the process in July 2017 with them. Numerous phone calls and visits, culminating with, 'Hey, we have the part, let's make an appointment'. I show up on the designated day, wait for a little over an hour, then am told they can't find the part anywhere (steam coming out of ears at this point)... I finally called Factory Powersports, described the issue to Brian, he researched it and said he would get back to me. Granted that call was on a Thursday, but by mid next week he called and said, 'Hey, we have the part, when do you want to bring the bike in?' I was initially skeptical, but made the appointment, showed up and was pleasantly surprised they physically showed me the part, installed in less than two hours and replaced a fastener on the top part of my fairing that I had just not cared about as it didn't affect the running of the bike. No charge. On the flip side, I was sucked in by their parts guy Cameron who made $200.00 mysteriously disappear from my wallet! Curses! Actually got a killer deal on some riding pants and small parts. Very impressed with the dealership, everyone's candor and keeping me up to speed on things, super polite bunch of folks and really great vibe! I went to my Insurance Broker to get coverage on my newly purchased bike and they weren't able to get me coverage at a price of which we could agree on. Gave Chad a call with my insurance issue & he found an Insurance Broker who is able to give me very affordable coverage! I originally bought my wife's 2005 Yamaha Warrior 350 from Jim & Jim's Yamaha and since then the business was bought by Factory Powersports which just told me they don't work on models older than 2007 because they said Yamaha can't supply parts. I asked for the owner and was then hung up on. I then call Ridgecrest Honda-Yamaha in Ridgecrest, CA because of the great reputation they have establish with our family and friends through many years of camping and riding ATVs in the Mohave Desert between November thru February when the weather is perfect for motosports. The owner Greg said even if Yamaha was out of parts the parts could always be bought aftermarket and servicing this model would not be a problem. My son had a previous bad experience with this company early this year and I thought will maybe it was just bad luck. After getting an estimate for $1,200 they gave him a bill for $1,800 and forced him to pay it. Now I believe this company is only interested in selling new ATVs and I will no longer have anything to do with them based on there lack of customer service. In closing I do not like to give anyone a bad review unless I really feel ripped off by them. Strongly suggest you watch out and not deal with this company. read more
