Dear Reader, Joy and I have purchased three new cars over the course of our marriage: Once at the beginning years ago; one during the height of our car/transport needs and now this 2026 IONIQ 5 Limited that we purchased today. Over all those new car-buying experiences - and not counting the few used one's we purchased from a dealership as well - none came close to the quality of care we received from Andy and Ben. (I should include my initial online contacts with Dan, as well.) To a person, they were competent in their demeanor with us; considerate and friendly; authentic (as in, "being real" and not a "salesman"); educated on the facts and admitting it when they were not - but were willing to find out; genuinely sincere. We came away with not only the car that we were looking for, but with the sense that we actually made friends with some individuals who, when they leave their "day job," are the same at home with their families. They helped us above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are not low, but nor are they unreasonable. Adam's conscientious time with us in test driving and getting Joy the right vehicle she wanted, was simply matched by Ben's absolute friendly expertise in managing the financial aspects of the purchase. Perfect. You as the reader may well ask: It's just a car sale, dude! But for us, a purchase of this amount was no small decision. We accomplished what we were looking for in a purchase and we got more. To me, I call that grace. A word I daresay not associated with the automobile industry. But we received it today. Thank you sirs: it was a pleasure and load off my ever-researched mind. Bill sez Two Thumbs Way Up. Check 'em out! read more

BUYER BEWARE -- My Experience at Manly Unfortunately, my experience with the sales team and management at Manly was terrible. Despite seeing negative reviews online, I decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. During our visit, our trade-in vehicle was damaged during a test drive. Afterward, warning lights and an alarm/siren were going off. When we asked for help addressing what had happened, instead of helping us resolve the situation, we were told to leave the property. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the people involved would not provide us with their names, business cards, or contact information when we asked. I ultimately picked up the salesperson's business card from his desk, which he did not want me to take. I will be posting a video showing what happened so people can watch it and decide for themselves. Based solely on my personal experience and opinion: Buyer beware. I would not recommend Manly. Do not try them--you will not like them. -- Nitrous Mike read more

Got a new car today and its very nice, the dealership looks nice, our sales guy was nice but I will never come back here again. I called to let our salesman know we were coming back cause we are ready to purchase and we're putting down 30k. We get there and start the paperwork. Get it all done in 30 minutes then we have to wait for the finance guy to be available.... 3 hours later we are still sitting here waiting to finish. If they would have said on the phone its going to be a few hours...I would have waited at home and come down later. Also everytime we asked how much longer...we were told 20-30 minutes or youre up next. DONT TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR, TELL THE TRUTH. The finance guy was great though, in and out in like 20 minutes! However, after this whole experience, wish I wouldnt have come in. read more

Honda Pilot Certified Used Purchase I purchased a certified used Honda Pilot (only about a year old at the time) from Manley Honda, along with the extended warranty. We've kept the vehicle fully serviced and maintained exactly as recommended -- yet it has been consistently unreliable. Sensor/Camera Failure The first issue was a sensor/camera failure, which was only resolved because it happened under warranty. Rear Subframe Failure Now we're dealing with a far more serious problem: a section of the rear subframe has broken off. Despite the vehicle having only 60K miles and an extended warranty, both Yuba City Honda and Manley Honda have refused to help in any meaningful way. We've been given the runaround, treated disrespectfully, and dismissed at every step. When we pointed out that this exact part has an active recall in the Midwest for the same failure, Yuba City Honda responded with: "This is what happens when you buy a used vehicle." That level of disregard is unacceptable. Manley Honda -- the dealership that sold us the vehicle and the extended warranty -- has also been completely unhelpful and unwilling to stand behind what they sold. Warranty Denial Between both dealerships, we've received no support, no accountability, and no professionalism. For a certified used Honda with proper maintenance and a purchased extended warranty, this experience has been extremely disappointing. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! This place is such a joke and I have had problems every step of the way from buying my car to having my car serviced. You are just a dollar sign to them. I purchased by car in 2012 and the sales person at the time was terrible! Everything took forever and he kept having to run to his manager to answer questions he couldn't answer which seemed to be every one. When it came to entering all my information in the computer I had to take over and enter all my information (I was a much faster typer). After hours at the dealership I was hoping to never step foot here again. Well I'm back. A computer on my cars dash stop reading and I did some research online to see if it was something I could resolve before coming in. It wasn't. The computer in my car needed to be updated (MID software update). I called the service department to discuss and make an appointment. I asked if there was any fee. The gentleman said no. I come in for my service and guess what? It's going to cost me $ for them to tell what's wrong and to fix the issue. The person making the appointment should have told me there was a service fee or at least tell me if he didn't know, but he didn't. Honda was aware of the issue but failed to let me know. So basically not their problem. It's considered a service call not a recall which gets them out of having to fix something that is an issue. Ended up costing me $85 to update the computer in my car. Don't know why I should have to be paying for this since it's not something I could fix on my own and they hid the issue from me until my warranty expired. Also tried calling the 800 number to discuss the issue and I kept getting hung up on and spoken down to. I called the wrong department but that could have been explained to be instead of people just being rude to me. Good to know I purchased a certified warranty for people who don't really want to help you. This place does not want to take care of their customers at all and they don't appreciate your business. read more

I had a great experience with the salesperson who sold me my Honda HR-V, but the service department is a different story. At my first service visit, I also had an uncomfortable experience with an employee who kept giving me dirty looks while I was waiting. At first I thought she was another customer, but I realized she worked there. It made me feel unwelcome, but I decided to let it go. The real issue was the service itself. I mentioned that my fan was making a strange noise, and I was told everything looked fine and that my cabin air filter had been replaced. When the noise continued, I called back and was told leaves and acorns had probably fallen in during the filter replacement. I brought my car back and waited three hours while they supposedly cleaned it out, but the noise was still there. Today, I took my car to my trusted mechanic, and they found that the cabin air filter had never been replaced. It was still the original filter and was full of mouse droppings and damage from mice chewing on it. If Honda had actually replaced or even inspected the filter, they would have found the problem. I'm extremely disappointed that I was told work had been done when it apparently wasn't. Buy your car here if you want, but I'd recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else for service. read more

Manly Honda I went to Manly Honda looking for a used Camry I had seen online. Although that car had already sold, Gregory Morelos quickly helped me find another Camry that worked well for me. The 7-day return policy gave me confidence in moving forward. When I picked up the car, the scratches had been buffed out, it was nicely detailed, and a new battery had been installed. The purchase process was straightforward and took about an hour. Everything was explained clearly, and I appreciated the help with updating my insurance and registration. During the 7-day window, I had a third-party inspection done. Only two minor safety items were found, and the dealership agreed to repair them. I was impressed both with the condition of the car and their willingness to stand behind it. Overall, a professional and positive experience. Here is a separate review for Gregory Morelos, Special Finance Manager and Sales associate Gregory Morales - Manly Honda Gregory Morales provided exceptional service throughout my purchase. When the car I originally came in for had already sold, he quickly found another vehicle that met my needs. He was professional, responsive, and straightforward during the entire process. He clearly explained everything, made the paperwork easy, and even assisted me with updating my insurance and registration. When I later brought forward a couple of minor issues identified during a third-party inspection, Gregory advocated on my behalf and ensured they were addressed. I truly appreciated his professionalism and customer care. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I negotiated the purchase of a vehicle with Manly Honda and agreed on a final price over the phone. We had a confirmed deal, and I told the salesperson I'd be there Tuesday morning to complete the purchase. I filled out all the online financing, planned to put 15k down, and arranged the balance. Throughout the morning, I kept them updated every step of the way--texted when I left, gave my ETA, and even texted when I arrived. At no point did anyone raise a concern. When I got there, they sat me down and told me to wait, and only then said the car had just been sold. I had paid for an Uber an hour each way, missed an entire day of work, and then was left stranded in Santa Rosa trying to figure out how to get back. This wasn't a simple misunderstanding; it was a complete breakdown in communication and a lack of respect for my time and money. A simple call or text before I left would have prevented all of this. Based on my experience, I can't recommend doing business here. read more

The lowest of low experiences with Manly's marketing department. They have the gall to visually and noise pollute our otherwise tranquil backyard experience with aerial advertising! Add to that the dusting of my kid's lungs with lead from the aviation fuel. Took my 2025 Ionic 5 in because the 12V battery died. Had it towed at their recommendation. Diagnosis was a parasitic draw by an aftermarket alarm installed by the dealer where I bought it. At first, said they didn't know how to disconnect it; later said one of their techs could. Battery recharged, I picked up the and drove it home. Then it wouldn't change on my home charger. I called and texted several times. No one ever called or texted back. Drove it 60 miles to Vacaville where I bought it and got it fixed. No excuse for not calling back. Terrible customer service! read more

Short version: Gas siphoned from tank (about 15 gallons). Tried to contact, they didn't care. Long version: after getting my car back from Manly Honda and driving to work and back (5 miles) I noticed my gas light was lit. Strange because I remember filling it up recently. I did a quick check of my credit card and found I had filled up the gas two days before dropping it to Manly Honda. Within the 2 days of filling it up and dropping it off, I maybe drove 10-15 miles. So maximum I drove 20 miles on a full tank and it holds 16-ish gallons. Someone is siphoning tanks that has access to the cars at Manly Honda --or-- they don't lock them and they are siphoned by thiefs. Either way, it's their responsibility to this. But they don't care or call back. If that's going on, what else are they hiding? Run away y'all, don't walk. Run. Next, going to install a hidden camera and take in a different car for a routine oil change. Let's see what it picks up. ABC news investigates. read more

Tried scheduling an oil change and the way they do it makes zero sense. It's a 2 hour appointment for a 10-20 min job. "Well we are very busy, you're not the only car getting work done". Yea that's why you have appointments! Then there are different scheduling times for if you are dropping off or waiting. "Does that affect how long it takes?" "No". Then why should that matter? If someone can make that make sense to me I will change my review. read more

I would rate zero stars if they had that option! I told my wife not to take her call back to Honda after they tried to scamming my mother-in-law for hundreds of dollars. $$$$$$ It's a scam and elder abuse! We are back for the third time For fuel pump recall. I would've taken it to my mechanic, but it's a Honda thing but it's our last Honda thing trust.!!!! Not only very inconvenient, as they need your car for the whole day and have to Uber both ways because they have no shuttle service!! No discounts on any service or not even a car wash after having the car all day. I think they should at least wash your car if it comes back dirtier than when you dropped it off the mechanic obviously left grease and oil all over in the engine compartment on the hood and the front grill from dirty hands or gloves. Shame on your Honda!!! back in the day you used to wash the cars even if it was just an oil change. Your customer service has gone downhill and I see no improvements! Oh yeah, and get this They wanted to charge my wife an additional $800 to remove a screen to put some mesh in to avoid any future rodents. funny thing we have three other cars in the same parking lot for the last 30 years never had a rodent problem in any vehicle again only for the Honda had mice droppings in the cabin filter. Oh, this is not part of the regular maintenance that was in for besides the fuel pump so why are they checking that? If it's not on the regular maintenance I smell scam !!!My wife had owed Hondas for over 30 years and this is our last one!!!!!! So the mechanic took the cabin filter out to show us all the mice turds in there, but does he at least throw them in the garbage (turds) no out he puts it back in turds and all that's what I call "going above and beyond customer service" .....NOT!!!!!! I bought one online for $9.90 and replaced today my self It took 22 seconds !!! they wanted a lot of money $$$$$ trust me they don't break down how much they charge you but they overcharge you on everything !!! They also told my wife that they should change the air filter that was just put in last oil change. It wasn't even that dirty. I bought one anyway, but when I went to take the old one out, it had some dust on it. These guys are getting desperate and pathetic with their maintenance. !!!!! bye-bye Honda hello Hyundai! read more

They tried to rip me off. They added an item "replaced battery" to my invoice, but I had bought a battery just a month before. Before confronting them, I went through BBB to file a case and AAA to retrieve the old battery, and tested both. The "new" battery they had put in had a depleted charge, and the "old" battery was in much better condition. Though they did return the old battery after I showed the evidence, I would not suggest that anyone use this business unless they're there supervising their car and the service provided with AAA watching over their shoulder at every step. Trust BBB, not Yelp for reviews. NOTE: They are no longer BBB accredited. read more

My husband and I bought a 2026 Civic last weekend. We are very happy with the purchase, and we received exceptional service through-out the car buying process. We connected with Jesse Broadway in sales. He called us promptly after I used the Costco car buying connection through Costco online. He scheduled a test drive for us, and when we wanted to move forward with the purchase, he searched and quickly found an exact match to our desired car specs. He emailed exact pricing breakdown, and made adjustments we asked for in terms of add-ons (like a spoiler...). We are not pricing experts, but the pricing was upfront, the Costco deal was good, and the overall price was "good-great" per online information. The total trips to the dealership=2, which worked very well for us. We did finance through Honda, and we did shop the interest rates around, finding Honda the best rate for us. Edgar Medina did our financing. This process was very fast, as he did not try to upsell any of the service packages we stated we did not want. He asked if there was anything he could do for us, and I said, "yes, take a couple thousand off", in jest. He actually did provide us a nice 24,000 mile service contract at no additional cost, and the out the door was slightly reduced (a couple dollars) when the tax and government fees were processed exactly. Jesse and Edgar were both very professional and helpful, and we appreciated the timely service. read more

We met our sales rep, Cyrus, as soon as we got out of our truck. We were debating between a Honda Civic and an Accord but knew we wanted a hybrid. We took a test drive after looking over both cars and hearing informed details from Cyrus. He proved to be extremely relaxed and personable. While we went through typical negotiations, we were pleased with the outcome and felt everything was fair. Since I worked for Honda previously, I feel as if my opinion could have been far more critical but delighted that I could remain positive both about our trade-in, the new car, and the purchasing process. They did a basic brake pad replacement on my Hyundai Tucson and added 250 bucks in labor after the job which was originally only quoted as 170 in labor. So in total their claim is that a basic brake job just replacing the pads is 320 dollars worth of labor. Which is patently absurd this a 30 minute job at best maybe 60 minutes if your tech is lazy and stands there watching the rotors turn on the machine instead of doing something else productive. A CLASSIC DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER HORROR STORY I avoid dealerships if I can for this very reason: upselling. However, in this situation I was told to bring my car in to "re-set my radio" after a blown main fuse during a battery swap on my 2013 Honda CRV I brought the car in Thursday morning at 7am. Transportation was provided via Lyft. I got a call at 11am telling me I needed a new radio. I replied, "Fine. Send me a Lyft and I'll pick up my car until the part arrives." The service advisor, told me, "Sorry, you are too far away. We have a 30 mile limit. Sorry I didn't tell you that before." After trying both Uber and Lyft to no avail (no drivers available) I resorted to knocking on doors in Oakmont until I found someone who could drive me to the dealership. When I arrived, she recommended I leave the car overnight as a replacement radio was available and would arrive the following day (Friday). Quote, "If you leave it overnight, we can have the radio installed by 11am." Ok. Sounds good. So, I took the loaner car and went home. Friday: I started calling at 11am. Was given the complete runaround, zero information on the status of my car. Third phone call, another rep finally found my service advisor and put her on the phone. Very polite, said she would research and get back to me, that she didn't even know if the radio had come in that morning's parts delivery (what ??!!) - then, more silence. I gave up and drove to the dealership demanding my car back. I was furious. A service manager tried to calm me down, to no avail, I felt like I was being played. He promised me there would be no charge for the "diagnostic" ($210) or the "loaner car" ($35/day) - THERE BETTER NOT BE !!! In sheer and utter frustration, a friend and I began looking at the fuses as that was the most logical place to start. Voila !! I didn't need a new radio. It was just a blown audio fuse that happened to have its replacement in the fuse box itself. Zero cost. I am appalled and disgusted. This experience has absolutely played into every single stereotype about Service Centers in dealerships. read more
