I am a customer for more than 20 years. I can say that their kabobs are the best in town! I looove their barbari rice with any kind of meat. Their salad is always cold and fresh. In this tiny, little Kabab shop in the heart of LA you'll find the best Kabab in all LA. The taste, the smell, the flavors, they are all amazing. They have chicken, beef, lamn & filet mignon for you to choose from & they are all cooked right in front of you like subway. The big plates are a little bit pricy but now this days, everything is! Located in a small shop on the Los Angeles street. This place is owned by two very sweet elders. The grandpa and grandma are the sweetest people you could ever meet. The food is delicious. Delicious. I am not Persian, and I am in love with their currant rice. Super yummy. My Persian friend recommended this place to me, and I'd say this place has the food that is even better than Raffis or Tehran Grill in the greater LA area. Initially, I was going to give this place 4 stars. Just couldn't bring myself to give 5 stars, because the outdoor sitting didn't seems attractive, with a meth head passing by e-very so often. Indoors was not much better. The place is definitely at the bottom of fancy. BUT and as you can see, it's a big but.... The food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! So here goes the saying: "Don't judge a book by its cover". And definitely don't judge this restaurant by it's ambiance. I have to say, I really feel for the people in this area of Downtown LA that have to make a living here. The homeless problem, the substandard city environment + Covid must make for a lethal combination. So many businesses that stood empty and deserted. But here in this "shanty town" at Nayeb Kabab, you will find some delectable dishes that will tease your palate. We ordered the Qufta (Arabic -forgot the Persian name) plate. The serving was so large, that it was more than enough for my husband and I to share. We had to wait a bit for our food, which told us that it was freshly prepared. The flavors were authentic and fresh. The host/server (?) came to ask us if we liked more bread. He was super friendly and courteous. They were busy, because some guy with a bicycle came back and forth to get take out orders. We loved the place and will be back any time we have to be in down town LA. read more

Call before stopping by, since food is cook when you order, it can take 15-20 mins to be ready. Place is small, so don't expect to come here with a crowd. If you near by you can get free delivery (they have their own delivery boy) which is pretty cool. Food is amazing, I always get the chicken & beef Kabab, since one is not enough for me, I have to order 2. I love the grilled tomato that comes with the combo, & not to mention the rice. I had to go to downtown LA, a friend recommended as long as I'm there I should go to Nayeb Kabab, I did. It is not a fancy resturant, maybe four table, but the food was phenomenal, it does not have any bad stuff that usually resturant add to make the meat delicious, with every bite I could taste the purity and wholesomeness of the food, it was like I'm eating at my good cook mom's.
