First time at a NAYA! Very similar to a Cava / Mezze with bowl + wraps. Stopped by on an early Sat afternoon and there was ample seating. I decided to get a Chicken Shawarma bowl bc it seemed basic enough. However, I did ask the server what protein they preferred and they said the Lamb, so they generously added a piece of Lamb at no extra cost! I also trusted the server choose the toppings and sauces to add + it didn't disappoint! I got the side of pita to round out my first time. Overall, the bowl was great! I will say, similar to other fast casual bowl spots, after 1/2 way through, all your bites start to taste the same. Not in a bad way, it's just the nature of everything getting mixed together. Service was a bit slow bc there were mobile orders coming in, but shoutout to the friendly staff overall! Been craving a healthy bowl but also Mediterranean flavors so this was great. First time trying NAYA, it's similar to chipotle where you build your own bowl but with a Mediterranean twist. The toppings are unlimited! But they didn't seem too generous in scooping them. I really liked the onions and the baba ghanoush. The chicken Shawarma was a little bit dry. The hummus was just OK. I especially enjoyed the chicken shish taouk, or marinated chunks of chicken breast, combined with the cucumber yogurt/hummus add-ins. Lots of options for customizing. If you love all the extra toppings like me, Naya has choices beyond just lettuce and tomato like olives, pickled onions, cabbage, pickled cucumbers. It reminded me of Cava but fresher and less heavy in the belly. They also have a bunch of smaller dips and sides, like grape leaves and tabboule salad, as well as appetizers like fried beef dumplings, mini pies, and pastries with haloumi. The one thing I didn't love was the nammoura made of semolina. It was way too sweet and the texture was too gritty/sandy. read more

I ate one for lunch and I saved the other one for the next day. The falafels were well seasoned. The rice was favorable. And I thought the sauces hit the spot. The service was impeccable. NAYA (like kaya lol) is a delicious fast casual option that packs the punch with flavor. They offer flavors from the Middle East and the setup is giving Chipotle. You go through the line customizing your meal, starting with a base, meat, then all the additional toppings that they have. I opted for their 'NAYA bowl' with vermicelli rice, some greens, chicken shawarma and too many toppings to count but one of my favorites was the hummus and pickled turnips (yum). I also ordered one of their hot appetizers ... which ended up taking pretty long because they weren't already prepared. Once received, I found it interesting that it only comes with one piece instead of a couple, so it's not shareable. All in all I wouldn't recommend an app, just stick with the main entrees because it's more than enough. Service could be a bit better with the team knowing more about the menu however I know this location is relatively new so I can understand. Overall a beautiful space, very refreshing once you enter in. This Naya is in Downtown Brooklyn where a lot of offices so I'm sure it gets bussyyyy during lunch hours. Came here for lunch and wouldn't hesitate stopping by again. I'm a big fan of Cava and this place is similar. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and it was full of goodness. It was filling and it didn't leave me stuffed. I honestly wasn't able to finish it all so I took it home and it tasted even better later on in the day since everything got to marinate together. There is seating indoors with sit down tables and standing room to eat. I ate there and overheard a lot of people ordering the falafels so I'll definitely try them next time. I got put on to this place and it is my new go-to. The shawarma wrap is delicious and so so filling. Meat is seasoned well and succulent. The sauces and dips like hummus and toum taste fresh and authentic. The kibbeh is succulent and fried perfectly. Staff is super friendly and accommodating and you really get a lot for what you pay for. The space is inviting and decorated nicely with windows and seating so it's a buzz sitting here during lunch hour. It's bright and cozy and conveniently located next to the subway and close to all the shopping in the downtown Brooklyn area. read more

I have seen this restaurant and heard about it but, this was my first time trying it. The fast casual Mediterranean place had a similar vibe and setup to Chipotle. I wasn't really given an option for what type of meal I wanted. They just took a bowl and then asked what rice and protein I wanted. The food was tasty and didn't leave my feeling stuffed. It was a good portion sized entree and I can see myself coming here oftenr I wasn't sure what to order and settled for a chicken shawarma bowl (I believe). The flavor profile was hard to place because everything was mixed up together. The staff didn't really speak English and they didn't seem to understand when I was asking them some questions. I think the store was still in soft opening mode because I saw they had appetizers listed online but nothing in the store menu. I got this cheese phyllo and a falafel ball. I was working nearby and tried the naya app for takeout from naya and it worked great! The app makes it super easy to order for any time and even though I ordered during their lunch rush, it was still very fast. I ordered a falafel bowl and everything that I got with it was great. The bowl was big enough for 2 meals for me and pick up was easy. It's not a place that you'd sit in and eat, but there's a nice courtyard nearby that you could definitely sit in when the weather is nicer. read more

She clearly hated her job and didn't want to be there resulting in a terrible experience. They also ran out of appetizer options late afternoon. The protein to entire entree ratio was very small. Congrats to NAYA on opening another location! I was really happy to see I could get a build your own bowl closer to me after having food at their Manhattan spot. When it comes to chains, I get a little nervous about the quality of food being consistent, but this place did not disappoint! I ordered a build your own bowl with chicken shawarma and their sambousik jebnè and rekakat appetizer. If you don't want a rice bowl, you can always make a roll with pita or a salad instead. They offered me to put in some mixed greens to along with with vermicelli rice, which I greatly appreciated. There was a wide selection of toppings to choose from: hummus, tzatziki, baba ghanoush, cucumbers, olive, tomatoes, and more! The person who was scooping the items did the perfect proportions of each of the things I wanted. I really enjoyed the sambousik jebnè which was fried to perfection and had the perfect balance of cheesy and savory. To go with your bowl, they also have a piece of pita bread ready for you. I will absolutely come back here again. Just really thrilled I don't have to make a trip into Manhattan for this. read more

Seems like the cool thing to do these days is make a "chipotle" style build your own bowls out of everything. Well this is that for middle eastern / Mediterranean food (think Cava, taim, fle fle, the list goes on...). And I have happened to try all of them. With that said, I do think naya has the best ingredients and flavors that are more authentic to at least Lebanese food. Their vermicelli rice is well made-- close to a classic Lebanese restaurant. They also have all of the classic toppings you can add and classic sauces like the toum (garlic) sauce and tahini which tasted great. Lastly, the prices are reasonable. Starting at 10.56 for a roll (protein and sides wrapped in a wheat or white pita wrap) or 12.40 for a bowl. It's certainly filling and I think would be best for a quick lunch. I definitely recommend the appetizers. Sambousick was a lovely halloumi filled garlicky pastry that I think was best. The spinach pie was good. The kibbeh was decent but recommend other apps more. read more

Naya Bowl #1 - Rice, Chicken shawarma, humus, yogurt, cabbage, pickles, feta cheese, tahini & pita. Naya Bowl #2 - Rice, Chicken shawarma, hummus, tomatoes, cucumber, cabbage, pickles, feta cheese, tahini & pita. Both Bowls were so big (NYC style), that we were splitting between two people, very filling meal. Add to it a La Croix sparkling water and we enjoyed the delivery. Got the bowl with vermicelli rice, chicken shish taouk, garlic whip, baba ghannouj, onion-parsley sumac , cucumber and mild red sauce. Every dish comes with pita which is absolutely delicious! The serving size is pretty decent, I wish that the sides were cut a little smaller and they have more of it, rather than a few little pieces. The rice is always good and flavorful, the chicken shish is okay, I prefer the chicken shawarma. The garlic whip is tasty, I wish there was more of it! The baba ghannouj is so good I always get a side of it! It comes with one pita, but you really need to buy extra pita for it! So good! Def would be coming back again! read more

Came on MLK and ordered a bowl and my two apps. They only had the fattayer, so we got two of the fattayer. The fattayer was okay but pretty burnt with not a ton of filling, which was disappointing. Service on the line was super kind. I couldn't decide between the lamb and the beef so she suggested I could get half of each. The lamb was much better. The beef was dry and relatively unflavored. The star of the Naya bowl was the mixed grains and fluffy soft pita. The pita was slightly sweet and when dipped in the yogurt and garlic hummus, had so much flavor. The mixed grains was seasoned well and had a nice bite each chew. I was excited to see I could get all the toppings and after mixing everything up, every bite had so much flavor. Would rec Naya as a good alternative to Chipotle and a relatively healthy lunch. read more

This is a new restaurant chain located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn surrounded by a sea of other chains/food options. It's hard to stand out here since there are so many options, but I love a good, healthy, wholesome option with Mediterranean flavors. I ordered a bowl and the layout / menu is similar to your other traditional fast casual places such as Cava or sweetgreen. It's straightforward, you see the food being prepared in front of you, and you can chose your mix ins and customize it accordingly to your liking. The food is made to order and quality control is great. I also like how clean the restaurant is and how many choices you have in terms of what to add to your bowl/sandwich. They also have a few desserts to chose from and the service is fast and friendly! I would recommend going here if you want a healthier option! read more

So because I don't select all of the optional, emphasis on optional, toppings- the box only gets filled halfway?? In all my years ordering food in nyc I've never seen a box come this empty before. Alas it is opened! I work in the area and have been anticipating the opening of Naya for months! It was opened late last week and today was my first time getting it during lunch rush. The team was very staffed and efficient in making the plate. It seems their offerings have expanded some. They now offer sprouted grains and seasonal greens here! I tried the sprouted grains today with romaine, with chicken shish and falafel. The falafel remains unbeaten as my favorite falafel so far! It's crispy and delicious. The chicken shish erred on the dry side. The pita was soft and fluffy. The toppings were as good as ever. There is a lot of seating but during lunch rush it was pretty much full. The door is a little busted so you have to pull really hard haha. It looks like they have someone working on it though. All in all, so happy to have this here! I ate my food as soon as I got it so no pics today but next time for sure ;) read more
