Coffees

Their coffee is sooooo good! It might be the best cuppa coffee I've ever had! We returned to Nautical bean in Morro Bay to partake of some more of that delicious brew! It was foggy as usual, and what better place to beat the fog than in a warm, cozy coffee shop.? Especially one decorated with cute skate and surfboard themes and quirky decor! The cafe was crowded but a friendly and patient barista took our orders! My coffee was up right away and I sipped it while we admired the baked goods in the counter and waited a short time for them to be ready. I ordered my decaf coffee latte in a large size so I could savor it throughout the day. We then put in an order for an everything bagel and lox with cream cheese. My husband got his traditional breakfast sandwich to go along with his coffee. The coffee was the perfect match to the rich flavor of the lox and cream cheese everything bagel. My husband's breakfast sandwich was opulent and a generous size. We will return to this cozy cafe time and again for their wonderful coffee and accompaniments!

Tasty triple latte and the barista was from Bullard High! Visiting from Texas, but went to HS in Fresno. Killer vibes in the cafe too.

If you're in Morro Bay, this is the place to go for your morning caffeine. Rudie seems to know…read moreeveryone who walks through the door and everyone is happy to see him. He's funny, friendly and not in a rush. The place has a relaxing morning mood. I learned that he used to be in a band called The Murder Hornets and he gave me a good recommendation for a brunch spot nearby. I got an Americano that was hot and perfect. I also had a triple berry muffin that I'm sure was homemade, not one of those overly sugary ones you get at some places. There is seating out front and inside, but I sat in a cute little garden area in the back.

As expected with a group our size, there was a bit of a wait, but what stood out was how well the staff managed expectations from the moment we ordered. They were transparent about timing, which made the experience feel organized and considerate rather than frustrating. While some of us were already enjoying our drinks and food, the owner personally came out to thank our group for stopping by. That level of hospitality really stood out. At a time when genuine customer appreciation can sometimes feel rare, that personal touch made a big impression on us. The service felt warm, personable, and authentic, and the quality of both the food and drinks matched the experience. I would make a point to stop here again next time I'm in Morro Bay.

They are so sweet! We visited Morro Bay for the first time and I was so pleased with the food, we went back 3 more times!!! Everything is super fresh and the flavors were great! Coffee was delicious!! I highly recommend and I will tell you, now we have a regular place to go when we visit because WE WILL BE BACK!! We had the breakfast croissant sandwiches, the lattes, the fresh homemade soups (wow) with the fresh baguette!! So delicious! I literally took a dozen little red velvet cake pops and little cakes home with me... just delicious!! It gets packed in there but the service is great and well worth it!

I will be back to try the cheeseburger!! The Apple brioche was beautiful but way too big. The Blackberry Cream Cheese Danish was messy and hardly any cream cheese. The Chocolate Croissant was good. Iced Mocha was OK. Turkey sandwich on croissant was really heavy, not much to write home about though. Caramel Oatmeal cookie good. Raisin Oatmeal was really good. Chocolate Chip Oatmeal crumbled. Almond Oatmeal was OK. Friendly folks, got a handicapped place right in front. They are open until 3:00.

Of course Morro Bay is already a charming locale, and Aja fits in well. Her coffee is distinctive and her pastries are made with real butter not nasty seed oil. I stepped aside to let her greet two young gentleman and she said, "It's okay, these are my sons." And what charming young men Matthew and Jeremiah are! The person working there (owner?) Was hustling hard. She was working the register. Cleaning the tables. Handing out the food. Making the food and drinks in the back. She was a 1 woman wrecking crew. But still was able to get everyone's stuff out in a timely manner. Without sacrificing customer service. We ordered their chai latte and a black medium roast coffee. As well as a breakfast burrito and a rock harburrito. We forgot to tell her it was to go as we were trying to get back home before the LA traffic started. Imagine to my surprise when she came out with the food and it was to go!! The chai latte was really good. I loved it. And my wife really enjoyed it. Black coffee was good too. No frills. No fluff. But it kept me awake for the 4.5 hour drive home. So that works. The breakfast burrito was really good. My wife enjoyed hers. And mines was good too. Packaged really well. Ate it while driving so that really facilitated us getting home before the traffic. It was a very hearty burrito the rock harburrito. Gave us some green sauce to go with it. And it was just amazing. The inside is somewhat cramped with many tables and chairs. She also sells baked goods. And some random things. Like coffee mugs and other things. Nice signs all over the place as well as in the parking lot about the importance of coffee!! I really loved the hustle. And the food and drink was amazing. Not more you can ask for.
