While walking around downtown Morro Bay, we decided to stop by this coffee shop. As soon as I walked inside, I felt like I had stepped into a surf shop. I loved all the skateboards, retro décor, and 80s-themed displays throughout the space. It gave the shop a fun and unique atmosphere. We decided to order a hot mocha, and our drink was ready within just a few minutes. The mocha was excellent! I'm usually a little skeptical when it comes to sweeter coffee drinks because they can easily become overpowering, but this one was perfectly balanced. I could taste both the rich chocolate and the espresso, which made for a delicious cup of coffee. Overall, I would recommend this coffee shop. The quality of the drinks, friendly service, and unique environment made for a great experience. Located away from the Embarcadero crowd, it's quiet and relaxing with outdoor seating, excellent pastries, delicious sandwiches, and great coffee. Delicious coffee, delightful baristas that made a simple get-together a special occasion by making sure each of us had exactly what we wanted. I couldn't make up my mind, so "Leo" (Lou?) slowly explained what each menu item involved and was patient with others who also had questions about the different names and flavors of the hot coffee. As you can see by the picture below, they lit up the little shop with smiles. We will be back next time we are in town! read more

Chai was. Ice and thick. Salmon sandwich was good. Croissant tasted good but was a little singed. Good thing about croissants is the dark parts scrape off easily. One of the offspring experienced a ramen salad and did not like it. Weird since half of his calorie intake is ramen... There ate no shortages of coffee places in morro bay The place on the hottest corner in town was finally consumed by another coffee place. The last few occupants just didn't get the business they earned to return again,always an issue Hopefully Nautical has their beans together and will make proud this golden corner in morro bay. Leo greeted me as I came through the door, okay good fun and good stuff. The skate board theme was unexpected for a nautical place. I was expecting fish nets and glass buoy balls. Its what's inside that counts said my mother, I ordered a iced mocha coffee no whip The menu looks interesting and certainly needs further exploration. Breakfast burrito, sandwiches, pastries, cookies sold out Yeah...and my favorite sitting outside in the shade watching people crossing the street verses cars trying to cross the street. Their coffee is sooooo good! It might be the best cuppa coffee I've ever had! We returned to Nautical bean in Morro Bay to partake of some more of that delicious brew! It was foggy as usual, and what better place to beat the fog than in a warm, cozy coffee shop.? Especially one decorated with cute skate and surfboard themes and quirky decor! The cafe was crowded but a friendly and patient barista took our orders! My coffee was up right away and I sipped it while we admired the baked goods in the counter and waited a short time for them to be ready. I ordered my decaf coffee latte in a large size so I could savor it throughout the day. We then put in an order for an everything bagel and lox with cream cheese. My husband got his traditional breakfast sandwich to go along with his coffee. The coffee was the perfect match to the rich flavor of the lox and cream cheese everything bagel. My husband's breakfast sandwich was opulent and a generous size. We will return to this cozy cafe time and again for their wonderful coffee and accompaniments! read more

I've been going here almost every day since they opened, and it's quickly become one of my favorite places in town. If you bring your own reusable insulated mug, they only charge you for a 12-ounce drip, which is such a nice touch. Yay for sustainability! They also have a punch card where every ten drinks earn you a free one. I love that little old-school perk. Their lattes are delicious and can be made exactly how you like them. The self-serve coffee bar is the best in Morro Bay. There's a great selection of light roast, dark roast, decaf, organic options, and even a super-caffeinated "turbocharged" coffee. They've thought of everything, from half-and-half and oat milk to honey, simple syrup, and every kind of sweetener you could want. Even cinnamon and cocoa powder. The food is incredible too. I'm a big cinnamon roll person, and their jumbo roll is honestly the best I've had in Morro Bay. Soft, gooey, and perfectly sweet. I've also tried their breakfast burrito twice, and the cream cheese in it is such a good addition. The California bagel sandwich with avocado is another favorite. Prices are very reasonable, about six dollars and change for a croissant sandwich, which is almost half the price of similar items at other local bakeries/coffee shops. They also have a wide selection of muffins, croissants, and pastries that are all fresh and delicious. I'll admit I was hesitant when I heard another coffee spot was opening in Morro Bay, but Nautical Bean really stands out. The quality, atmosphere, and value make it a standout addition to the coffee scene here. Other shops better watch out, Nautical Bean is the real deal. read more

I came here to study but the cafe was a bit loud, so it was a bit hard to get any work done, even with noise cancelling headphones. Very pleased with my first visit here. Was looking for a new place after Top Dog closed (have not visited with the new owners) and was surprised that something new was in the butcher shop. Smooth vanilla latte. My husband was able to order a decaf latte which most places don't offer. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and have no complaints.
