View from the table with fresh Morro Bay oysters and Strawberry, orange, pomegranate mocktail.
    Alisa W.

What a great surprise! We almost skipped this place because Apple Maps said it was closed on Wednesdays and the phone went straight to voicemail--but they're definitely open, and we're so glad we stopped in. The crab cakes were packed with crab and paired perfectly with a tangy fennel and arugula salad. The fresh Morro Bay oysters were absolutely delicious. The clam chowder was rich and creamy with plenty of clam chunks and a nice kick of spice, though it was a bit peppery for my personal taste. They also offer fresh-squeezed juice mocktails, and while we didn't try the cocktails, they're made with soju. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views are beautiful, the reggae music creates a relaxing vibe, and our waiter, Charles (I think!), was incredibly sweet and attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing to know: there's essentially no Wi-Fi or cell service, so texts and web pages are slow or may not go through.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly, that's part of the charm. Put your phone down, soak in the view, enjoy the fresh seafood, the music, and the laid-back atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll definitely be back!

    Seafood cocktail. Oysters both delicious.

We had such a great experience at this place. Food was 5/5. Absolutely everything we got - delicious. We tried seafood cocktail - I'd say my fav. Oysters were fresh and yummy. And burger really good too. Our server Lauren was great help. Everything she recommended turned out the best choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They made sure to follow our request and turned the music volume down at the area we sited, I truly appreciated it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend this place. You can book it on Open Table btw.

We had dinner here and waited about 15mins for a table, which wasn't too bad without a reservation. Ambiance: 5/5 Beautiful view of the Morro rock! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Have high tops tables and booths throughout the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was loud during dinner with lots of families around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: 3/5 Our waitress wasn't consistent with her service. Took us a long time to order and ask for our check. She also brought out different dipping sauces but we didn't order anything that needed them lol. Food: 5/5 Smashed crab and beef melt: GENEROUS serving of crab meat! It took my fiancé a while to finish it due to its big portion, and he's a big eater. He described it to be delicious and not that greasy to eat. Marisco (seafood) pasta: Had mussels, clams, BIG scallops, and shrimps. This too was really delicious, but 3 pieces of garlic bread were a bit soggy.

What a great experience. We went on a Saturday. It was busy but the wait wasn't too bad. They sat us at a table, I asked for a booth. They quickly agreed. Service was great. We had the loveliest waitress, that easily gave recs and was cheerful. We had scallops, oysters and the lobster roll. All of it was delicious. The scallops were baked with fried garlic and cheese and were so flavorful as were the oysters. The lobster roll came on grilled garlic bread and was seasoned perfectly. The scallops were my favorite. The Bloody Mary wasn't remarkable and either was the lychee martini. I'd definitely stick to wine next time. I'd also pick another dessert, wasn't really sure that was actually Tiramisu and they decorated the plate with Hershey's syrup a bit disappointing after such a good meal but we will definitely go back.

    Fish tacos. Real good.

Hey first time here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibe and view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ryan was slinging drinks and excellent plates of food. Fish tacos, and shrimp cocktail are excellent. I did see some lobster rolls come out for another table and they looked. Outstanding. Will be back soon.

Food was decent needed more salt... We had the lobster Mac, steak with potatoes, shrimp and scallop pasta no sauce, and the sliders with fries. The server was Troy who was nice but seemed a little off today. We requested potatoes with the steak three times and still received rice but he fixed it. Then we spilled fries on the floor and were charged for the replacement. The food portions were good but the prices seemed outlandish for the sizes (I will post pics) and made me kinda think we were paying for the ocean view and the food. But that's inflation for you (thank you politics). I would not rush back to the environment, as the energy was low (one employee I get but, all 4? Come on), and gave the vibe that the staff were so over people but needed the money so yeah, at least we can say we tried it.

The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, but the wait was disappointing. We were seated and no one came over to our table for about 25 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a server just to place our order, and then waited another 35 minutes--even though we only ordered soup. Hopefully the service improves because the food was really good.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog friendly restaurant right on Morro Bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Delicious oysters & lobster bisque. Mojito was different with the soju.

The server was so friendly and informative. They did not have a liquor license but can serve lesser proof alcohols. It's a cute restaurant by the water. I had the salmon tacos and a piña colada. They did not disappoint. I enjoyed my food and drink. If I'm in the area I would return.

This is our usual dining spot whenever we take the trip out here, and this time around it was unpleasant. Our server was a blonde older lady who don't introduce herself by name, was quick to bro gout our waters, but when she toon our drink order, she only brought out my husband's beer. When I asked a few questions regarding items on the menu, her answers came across as though she was mildly annoyed. We waited until our food was brought out and I had to ask for a spoon that accompanied the dish I ordered and we reminded her of the soda my son had requested. Also when I unraveled the napkin wrapped silverware, the napkin had stains on it. Super gross!! I think we'll be giving this place a rest for a while. What a shame...

    Tri tip sandwich
    Amelia R.

The service was unfortunate. We never got our table checked on let alone had some water refilled. We ordered the tri-tip sandwich and the lobster bisque. The sandwich was very small. And the lobster bisque had no lobster. It was a very odd experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view itself was incredible, it does not make up for the lack of service and flavor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Lobster rolls

Well we finales nailed it in Morrow Bay for dinner. We go her ever year when we are in town for the mid state fair. First time at Kickers and won't be the last. Everything we had was great. Lobster rolls, clam chowder, lobster bisque and one of the best Bloody Mary's we ever had. Highly recommend this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great views if you can get a booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not sure if they have outside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back next year for sure!

Cute gift shop, decor with country tchatchkes, doing some minor handiwork during open time - was a bit distracting. Loud with echoes due to concrete floors. Lots of loud local conversations heard across the restaurant, including discussions about city council meetings, etc. 3% Credit Card fee not posted in the menu, but rather on the board at the entry. The clam chowder is something you do not want to miss out on. And the complementary sourdough bread that is included is exquisite. We tend to always be a larger party, somewhere between 8 & 12 attending. This year there was a bit of a snag in that they have few larger tables that can accommodate us, and that was being used when we arrived. The issue was not the fault of the restaurant, just a thing that happened, causing the wait to be significantly longer as those before us were deeply engaged in conversation. The staff made other accommodations for us by creating a large table out of numerous two tops, which we appreciated very much. Our server was Kathy, and she was absolutely delightful; could not have done anything better. She was pleasant, humorous, very accurate and efficient. I let Kathy know it was my brother's birthday and she arranged to have a beautiful chocolate mousse delivered to the table and we sang happy birthday to him, making for an even increased great experience.

AMBIANCE: the decor was nice. We actually got a table with a view of Morro rock, but it was half covered with fog. There's also outside seating that have space heaters and umbrellas. FOOD: the seafood omelette was topped with one shrimp and filled with 75% mushrooms and bits of crab and a little more shrimp my wife ordered scrambled eggs, but with the option of three pancakes instead of potatoes, however we did notice a textural difference in the eggs. I'm not sure whether they use liquid eggs substitutes because they were a bit runny but we thought they were very thin not thick and fluffy, but they did taste OK the coffee was good. The tea. My wife ordered was just luke warm so she asked for another pot and it was still not hot. NOTE: the Embarcadero and front Street has become extremely overcrowded on the weekends and that stands true with Pismo and Avila and Cayucos. i'm glad we were able to enjoy these places before they got this way.
