We had a great experience when visiting with a large group of about 12 people. We ordered a variety of food and drinks and everything we tried was good. As expected with a group our size, there was a bit of a wait, but what stood out was how well the staff managed expectations from the moment we ordered. They were transparent about timing, which made the experience feel organized and considerate rather than frustrating. While some of us were already enjoying our drinks and food, the owner personally came out to thank our group for stopping by. That level of hospitality really stood out. At a time when genuine customer appreciation can sometimes feel rare, that personal touch made a big impression on us. The service felt warm, personable, and authentic, and the quality of both the food and drinks matched the experience. I would make a point to stop here again next time I'm in Morro Bay. read more

I decided to stop here for a much needed coffee break while heading up to Big Sur to go camping. I got here maybe 45 minutes before they closed and woman working was extremely awesome to talk to while I waited. The small talk was very much appreciated. The iced latte was absolutely delicious and a very fair price considering the size and the area I was in. I will definitely stop by this place again next time I'm in the Morro Bay Area. read more

I ordered the chocolate razzberry cheesecake Mocha. Wow. Sunday is my cheat day so I also ordered a (gluten free) coffee cake, lemon bar, and (smelled so delicious) also ordered the breakfast burrito! I'll WALK to church today to burn these calories. All delicious! Very coastal cafe vibe. The barista was very friendly. There were regular customers who were bantering away about the Tesla they test drove and how they ended up in Morrow Bay 20 years ago. They fell in love with Californa and the hidden gem on this secluded coast... and so will you. read more

Chatty owner - friendly but overly. Food was good - bagel and burrito, no frills. Inside was okay, outside was run down with torn, rusty seats but very green. Tiniest restroom. Asked for jelly, cook handed a warm jar with MOLD inside. No words. Wish him luck but lots of other options. read more

This café was a wonderful experience all around. The staff were so friendly, even bringing out the food to the dining area rather than I'm just calling my name to grab it. I got a quiche, which looked delicious in the pastry case, and looked even more delicious once they plated and warmed it up for me, adding both avocado and salsa to it. They really care about the food they make here, and it shows through the care with which it is served, even a to go order, as well as the quality and taste. I love the location as well as the ambience of this place. It is absolutely the perfect beach, town, coffee bar, with an amazing little dining patio, where the sunshine is just right in the morning. read more

This is an amazing local place with apparently an understandably huge loyal following. I went there at 6:30 am on a Sunday and there were already many customers there. It felt like one big morning neighborhood coffee lovefest. Service is extraordinary- As he got the chance Rudie would check with the others enjoying their food or coffee. He's friendly, wonderfully outrageous and hilarious. Rudie is such a cool upbeat guy - when I cut rudely in line and asked where the bathroom was and oh how are you? He said enthusiastically "living the dream" and good naturedly told me I could use the employees only bathroom but warned me it was hideously small. I forget my manners when I am stressed and tired. I staggered in having had car problems which required us waiting (sleeping in the car) for hours for AAA, and Rudie was especially kind ( You look very nice today) and helpful with my complicated special order and despite my anxious state. There is a wonderful selection of breakfast foods- He made me an amazing Rock Burrito was egg salsa sausage and avocado. It was as delicious as the pictures on Yelp suggested. The coffee selection was also great, and I so loved the special one I ordered. (It appeared that many of the regulars liked ordering the special.). One of the specials that day was the "Jumper Cable" which we thought humorously ironic. Everything about this neighborhood gem is amazing. The cashier and barrista were great, so friendly and personable. I got a chai and a rock burrito. The chai really impressed me. I'm kinda picky when it comes to tea, especially with chai since I make it at home with fresh spices. This one is great. The burrito was good. We had a peaceful breakfast in the back garden, with a decaf americano, the rock burrito and a smoothie. The barista was super friendly, and even made an off menu banana smoothie for me! While the inside was bustling, we had the garden all to ourselves for our toddler to explore. read more

My mom and I both got a Mexican mocha, one hot with oat milk and one iced with 2%. They were so delicious, we were very impressed! So cute inside and a nice area in the back with lots of plants. Checked Yelp for a "good vanilla latte" while in Morro Bay and tried out this local spot. Cute little Espresso bar with some tasty eats and treats (coffee cake and other pastries). I ordered a Skinny Vanilla Latte and my daughter ordered a Chai latte. I'm not a strong coffee drinker but it was exactly what I needed. That first sip of hot deliciousness woke my senses and kept me going all day. I'm not big on Chai, but tried my daughter's drink and it was equally delicious. She drank it all so that's saying something. The ambiance was nice as well. Neo-Rockabilly pouring out of the speakers while the barista took and made our orders. Darn! I wish I remembered his name. Charming guy, with a little dry and wacky humor. Super nice! My husband got a coffee cake and he said it was super moist and really good. They baked it so the crumble was in the middle of the cake so it wasn't messy. You could tell it was a local hot spot as the barista knew most of the customers and their orders. Funky little shop with photos and art from the area. Definitely worth stopping by for a nice hot cuppa while you're in the area. read more

Walked in and was able to order after a bit of a wait - ordered my large iced white mocha to go. The drink came up fairly quickly and the prices are decent for the area. I came here years ago and enjoyed it then and do now. Docking 1 star because the tiny bathroom is as awful as I remember and my mocha didn't have any real flavor to it. read more

Food was great, the salsa is amazing in my opinion! Service was awesome, seems like they have a great really great group working there. The owner Mike was very nice and even offered suggestions on where to go around town. For newbies, we really appreciated it and he made it feel very welcoming. The shop was quirky and had amazing paintings and the decor was cool and fun! It was really pretty in the back area with a running fountain. We went back to the Rock Espresso Bar because we had loved the Rock burrito so much last time. We should've known that nothing can repeat itself. Here is what we noticed this time: - Took forever to make. - We ordered two burritos, one with bacon and one with sausage and they didn't label either one. - All there was inside was scrambled eggs, a small amount of meat and avocado. What happened to all the rest of the works that the person at the counter told us about? - The burrito shell seemed out of the grocery store. Needed a quick coffee after another horrible hotel breakfast coffee! Found enough good reviews to make a quick stop here. I had the cold brew coffee and it was exactly what I needed. The cup was very large for the price -- like 20-24 oz. The cup lids are awkward to sip from, but who cares, right? Coffee was good and $5 and change seemed reasonable. My wife had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was $8. Buyer beware! I'm a little puzzled why it was so pricey -- is it a larger size than its competitors or is oat milk that hard to come by here? Her review: "it's ok." That was without the knowledge of the price, mind you. Out the door, our two drinks cost $14.20. Ouch. Overall, I'd come back back, but my wife wasn't enthusiastic about this place and given the price of her drink, I'm fine trying somewhere else too. read more

I bought two bacon burritos and it cost $34 dollars. Got back to my room and was shocked at how small and simple they were. I do not recommend this place for breakfast burritos!!!! I order this way to have the yolk spread out into the white. The english muffin was grilled, so not hard on the outside, but it was still good. The eggs were rubbery. The potatoes were a bit too spicy, I needed ketchup to eat them. Bacon was OK. Thin napkins, needed more. Plate was chipped. Had to use the restroom before leaving, it is now a gender neutral bathroom and Burt Reynolds is still presented in all his glory!! I must have a totally different sense of humor. Won't be back here, nothing on their menu appeals to me. Sorry.

Parking is free everywhere to my knowledge.
