We stopped at High tide for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was delicious. It wasn't too busy so it was nice to sit in the outside eating area. Really cute cafe with a ton of options for food, bowls, and smoothies. The pro bowl was really good however I usually prefer a stronger acai flavor. This was more of that PB strawberry banana taste which is still delicious. My banana topping was also pretty mushy so I skipped that. Otherwise a really great spot! Best place for sandwiches bar none, also let me give you a hint ask for Calabrian mayo, either on your sandwich or for dipping your fries in, it's Italian culinary crack cocaine !! I got so addicted to the stuff I recreated it at home and it's the number one condiment period. Ok back to the sandwiches, they are all delicious and the only thing I have a small issue with is the amount of dressing they add to the sandwich so I always have them go light on it. The Italian is great but try the California Beef, have them add Calabrian mayo instead of the traditional dressing and you'll have heaven on your hands. !! The place is always packed so be prepared to wait, get yourself a cider or beer while you wait and if you find a table enjoy the great Los Osos weather. The staff is always very friendly, accommodating and will guide you the right way with their recommendations whether a sandwich or drink. The Acai was runny, the berries and bananas had all floated into it, and I added AB and there wasn't much in there! Upcharged and more. High Tide is cute and with things to buy in addition to the food and nice outside seating and cool music. The menu adverts custom sandwiches for $16.95. Also, you can fill out a form for a made-to-order. I chose a made-to-order with turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The bill was $18.95 + tax. I asked about this and was told there was an additional $1 charge for the cheese and $1 charge for the Turkey. Um...I order a turkey sandwich and there's an extra charge for the turkey.. huh? what?? Please look at the blank order form. Extra charges are indicated. If it's not indicated I assume it's included in the price. Anyway, I mutter about it being alot, but still put a dollar in the tip jar. So after a while the server puts the sandwich on the counter outside, calls my name and splits. The sandwich starts ok but seems like I'm eating bread and cheese at the end. It took me 3/4 of the way thru to check (sorry for the bite mark - gross!). Also, the custom sandwiches are $16.95 and the custom Turkey Pesto has both turkey and provolone included in that price (I assume, since it's advertised as such). Super cute, quick food on the go. They had a bunch of tables outside and there happened to be a car show happening at the time. I was traveling for work and made a pit stop here. Açaí bowls were mediocre for $14 for a small. If you order a children size it's only $2 less and a very small cup of açaí with a few pieces of fruit. This is a blended bowl so much of the butters will be blended in the açaí base. Service was not very informative of the menu. Ambiance is in a parking lot there isn't much shade so bring a hat or your sunnies. Unfortunately this was a little disappointing. read more

So this place is not your typical subway I'll tell you that you order your food off of a paper and you pick what you want on your sandwich etc. just kind of like sprouts but the sandwiches are very fresh. I have not been able to find an acai bowl place that I like more than this one, so far. And boy have I been on the hunt! Not to say others aren't good, but I can't help but compare them to this one. One of the best açaí bowls I have ever had. I ordered the pro bowl and added protein and strawberries/blueberries on top and the consistency was absolutely perfect (not too thin and not too thick). This place is a total vibe, right by the water in downtown morro bay surrounded by lots of thrift stores.
