This is such a cute place! Felt like we were in a secret garden in a quaint European town. There was live music playing in the background. Our server, Jorge was attentive and our meal arrived pretty fast. We ordered. the spinach, bacon, tomato omelette, fish and chips, chorizo scramble, and tacos. Everything tasted delicious. We also ordered a bottle of champagne to split mimosas for 4. A very pleasant experience. We shall return!

October 12, 2025 - Cayucos, CA This is a beautiful restaurant, particularly if you have the opportunity to dine in the garden. On this occasion, the weather was less than ideal, so we were seated indoors. Upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant's payment system was down and that only cash or Zelle would be accepted. While this was not an issue for us, it would have been appreciated if they had notified us in advance, especially since they had our contact information through the reservation. Service was warm and welcoming, though somewhat lacking in attentiveness--for example, water glasses were not refilled promptly. I ordered the Alaskan Halibut ($54), an 8oz wild Alaskan halibut topped with two Argentinian prawns and scampi sauce, served with mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables. The dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Overall, an enjoyable dining experience, with only minor service and communication issues.

Went for lunch after visiting the dog beach in north Morro. Sat on their cute back patio with the doggies, and waited for a server. No one really helped us for a bit- seemed confusing but after 5 min our waiter came out with silverware etc and we ordered. I chose the eggs Benedict which came with a glass of champagne which was nice. My wife ordered the California burger and a beer. Apparently their CO2 was not working so she got a bottle instead. The burger and fries were good and the eggs benny had a nice bit of Mexican spice to the Hollandaise sauce, which was a pleasant surprise. I liked it! The service was pleasant, if just a tad slow. Beautiful sunny January day made us in no hurry. We will be back!

Chicken Salad Sandwich with Fries

Strange building entrance, confused as to where to get someone to check me in and seat me. Finally someone came around. I sat out in the garden, so nice, plants, trees, birds. Ordered their chicken salad sandwich, which came with fries. It was nice, but the ambiance earned the stars.

We went to dinner at Lunada Garden Bistro on our last night visiting the Central Coast. It is located in the heart of downtown Cayucos. We needed to find a place that allows dogs on a patio that has decent food. Our friends that live in the area suggest Lunada and joined us there. The outdoor dining area is truly special. It is a garden feels secluded and romantic. We were greeted by our server right away to get our drink choices. I ordered the Roasted Vegetable Pappardelle but I added prawns to it. It was delicious and it was a very generous portion. We really appreciated being able to bring our large dogs to a nice dining establishment!

The Salmon Benedict was great! Our server David kicked ass, super friendly, attentive and accommodating. The place had both indoor and outdoor sitting. We ate outdoors and it had a flowery garden which was fantastic!

Luanda's cool bar. They have a cozy red couch towards the back and a huge wine selection.

In a recent trip to Cayucos, we came across a wonderful restaurant, Lunada Garden Bistro. It was such a very pleasant surprise. The further you explored the building, the more you discovered incredible details. It's beautifully designed and decorated with exquisite touches. Make sure you visit their amazing bar. Sip a drink on the red cozy couch. The dining tables are adorned with white linen tablecloths and napkins. They serve in the dining areas or in the garden. We chose the garden surrounded by magnificent flora. The menu is varied and well presented. We had the pleasure of having Marco as our server. He was personable, pleasant and professional. He made our dinner experience perfect! He catered to our every need.

We arrived before 5:00 pm on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. The outside garden is a beautiful place to sit, absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Our server was nice and the service was overall pretty good. The food was delicious. The lobster was a bit overcooked making it slightly rubbery, but still good. The lamb was delicious and cooked exactly medium-rare. We will come back. And hopefully next time our server will remember to bring us some of their delicious warm bread equaling a 5 star review.

Salmon BLTA

Great location! Bright indoor seating. Lunch on Friday was non crowded, seated right away. Had a salmon BLTA and fish and chips. Plenty of food! Fries were salty and crispy. Fish was good, not greasy but fish was a bit bland. Salmon was scrumptious

The food was amazing! See the photos below for the three meals we had in our group. The garden seating is really wonderful and is usually what we head for, but it was full today so we sat inside by the main st window. It was absolutely gorgeous and fun to people watch. Our server was super nice and asked about the special occasion that brought us there. It was really sweet to feel he cared. I highly recommend the stop and the coffee shop as well.

We chose the Galley because we wanted steamed clams and were delighted by the choice. For a local place it was hopping! On a Wednesday. When we got there at 6pm there was a 30 minute wait. Luckily a spot at the cozy bar opened and we pounced. The bartender took our order shortly after we sat down and we didn't waste any time ordering clams. They came out quickly and were steeped in the most delicious broth, which we slopped up with soft pieces of bread. Will come back for these for sure. We were still a bit peckish so we ordered crab cakes. They were ok but we wouldn't order them again, had they been hotter may have made a difference. Next time maybe we'll get a window seat to be able to enjoy the view as well as the sumptious dinner.

He took my number down and said he would call in about an hour when to come back. I purposely made my phone super loud so i would hear the call when the table was going to be ready. More than an hour passed so we walked back to check our place in line. He tried to say that he called 20 min ago but he said couldn't remember why it didn't go through and couldn't even come up with an excuse lol. I rechecked the number he wrote down which was correct. I had my partner call me and she had no problem. He promised us the next available seat. Another party after us literally went through the same thing as us where he claimed that he called but I'm sure he didn't. We got seated right away after so I'm glad we came back to check! Our server (i forgot her name but she had blonde hair) made up for it since she was super delightful! Aside from that i was looking for her to tell her it was my partners birthday but i only saw him. I asked if he could tell my server for me and he said yeah! They can put a candle on the dessert we order. He asked me what dessert but i didn't know what the options were yet so he said he would just tell my server anyway and we can pick. Lo and behold, no candle lol. That guy sucks

Our server, Paloma was so attentive to our 4 yr old son. He was served first thing, and not once was he overlooked or ignored. He requested to sit indoors midway through our meal, as it got cold outside on the deck and the move was done seamlessly. The server actually caught my son when he managed to tip his chair back and she did it swiftly, without making a scene and told him she's done that before, so that he wasn't embarrassed or uncomfortable. We arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday and the restaurant was moderately busy. Our table was in the interior dining room at the window (nice view). Our Server for this experience (Kate) presented us with menus promptly. Kate was fabulous...her service "spot-on", professional and very personable as well (thank-you Kate). Our order consisted of Drinks : A Lemon Drop (4/5 - the question here was if the cocktail actually contained alcohol. We were assured it did, but the drink was replaced non-the-less. The replacement tasted the same ‍..."our bad", but Kate didn't charge us for either!). A Sandy Beach (5/5 - ya...this cocktail is outstanding!) and a Big Sur IPA (5/5). Our ordered Mains: Mushroom Swiss w/ Bacon 2X - one w/ Beer Battered Fries, the other w/a Side Caesar Salad - (5/5 - a definite "go-to burger " cause it's sooo darn good) Bay Basket (Mahi Mahi w/double Coleslaw) - (5/5 delicious and enough to take home for another meal) Grilled Jalapeno Burger (w/egg and Bacon) - (5/5 - always a winner). The wait for our meal after receiving our drinks seemed remarkably short...yay! This occasion was a Birthday celebration meal for one of our party of 4...and Kate presented us with a very delicious piece of Carrot Cake which was large enough for all of us to share - (5/5...if we could give the Carrot Cake a "higher" score/rating we would. It is, as far as Carrot Cake goes, truly OUTSTANDING!) The dining experience couldn't have been better...Kate's service and customer service in "making it right" with the Cocktail and Birthday Cake, the atmosphere/view and the fabulous food didn't disappoint. Once again, on this occasion, in this Yelper's opinion...Morro Grill on the Embarcadero in Morro Bay truly earned this "really, ya gotta go and enjoy" 5 Star review!

Potatoes looked overcooked but that was because they are purple potatoes!! They tasted ok, luckily not too spicy like everything is these days. I liked the non-purple potato's texture better.
