This location is slipping in quality and business practices year by year. I decided to gamble again on purchasing cucumbers and tomatoes. This is prime season for fresh cucumbers, cool weather. So many times, their cucumbers are imported from Mexico, or Canada. We are surrounded by farms here in the Hudson Valley! For the past few years we've been purchasing our produce from Adams. Nature's Pantry is supposed to be dedicated to offering organic items, non-GMO. What is the point if they are shipped from other states or countries? I look them over and they are frequently frozen or obviously soft and in an active state of decay. The cherry and grape tomatoes do not fare any better. Why not leave them off the shelves? Why do you accept them to rot in your store? Here's my cucumber bought yesterday, see photo.

Best eggs ever! Golden orange yolks, yum!

I drove all the way from NYC for these 6 cartons of feather ridge farm brown eggs, why you ask? Because here the XL eggs are $8 a carton and $7 at the farmers markets! If you've ever tried pasture raised organic eggs then you know why someone would pay that much for a carton. These eggs not only taste great but are packed with far more nutrients then the cheap grocery factory eggs (poorly treated caged birds with cheap GMO feed). You've heard the expression 'you are what you eat', well it applies to all of us! Even the chickens! You'll see the difference when you crack these beauties open and see the brightest color yolk you've probably ever seen :) then you'll taste the difference. Trust me on this I didn't drive an hour and half both ways just for the scenery. Also this place had a great bulk section, I tried dried salted green string beans for the first time and I'm going back for those as well. Eat well and be well yelpers ;)

The price for the vitamins I bought was almost 35% higher than other health food stores. Never again will I shop there!

This is a fairly new location, and is resplendent with light up menus, an adorable seating area, and a fun wall mural that details the company's history. We got two smoothies - one for me and one for my boyfriend. He got the Chocolate Gladiator Smoothie with banana and mango as add-ins, and I got the Chocolate Activator, which had protein powder, cocoa, banana, and coconut water. Gary loved his smoothie, but mine wasn't so great. The protein powder made the smoothie kind of grainy and weird. I'll stick to an all-fruit smoothie next time. They have lots of options and different recipes formulated for everything from slimming down to bulking up muscle. It's a great post-workout destination. I have to give Smoothie King high marks for the friendly and patient staff (thanks for giving us lots of time to order - we are VERY indecisive!), well kept interior, and wide variety of not only smoothies but also energy bars and other healthy snacks. They even had the hard to find Vanilla Caramel Hero Quest Bar, which I haven't seen in many stores. I got a few of those to go. Smoothie King is also very convenient, with walk in and drive thru options for pickup. We'll be back - but I'm getting something different next time!
