A friend sent me $10 but the money did not clear to my bank. I was sitting quietly in my car and Shah came over to ask if I was ok. I explained my situation and asked if I could stay until the money cleared. He said that he would be happy to give me the money from his personal money. I was so Thankful. I then showed him my little Children's Mascot books and he bought a book and I was able to get $10 worth of Gas. The problems I was having was with the pumps outside not accepting my GasBuddy card. I tried sliding it fast and slow, but no matter how many times I tried, it just wouldn't work. Finally, as I was about ready to give up and pull away, the pump decided it was going to cooperate with me (it was probably figuring that it wasn't going to win) and my transaction went through without much other hassle - and I'm glad, because later that day, I had a trip to JFK airport - after a day dealing with Beacon and it's train station (some place I had rarely seen) as I was the Lyft driver.
